to be submitted with my own effort under the guidance of professor .

to KDCE ,Anandanagar under BSAEU . I further declare that my topic
has been submitted neither to any university for degree / titles nor to
any publisher.

6. Institutions Redressing Sexual Harassment And Abuse.
Constitution of India provides various guidelines and policies against
sexual harassment and abuse . It may be prevented by secondary
school, colleges and workplace, education programmes.
7. Sexual Harassment Act
Act has been enacted with the objective of providing women
protection against sexual harassment at the work place and for the
prevention and redreassel of the complaints of sexual harassment. It is
considered as a violation of the fundamental rights of a women to
constitution of INDIA equality as guaranteed under article 14&15 of the
(“constitution”) and her right to life and to live with dignity as per
article (21) of the constitution.
It has also been considered as a violation of right to practice or to
carry out any occupation , trade/ business under article19(g) the
constitution , which includes a right to a safe environment free from
harassment.
8. India finally enacted it’s law on prevention of sexual harassment against
female employees at the work place. the sexual harassment of women
at work place (“Prevention , Prohibition, and Redressal”) ,2013( sexual
Harassment Act”) has been made effective on April 23, 2013 by way of
Publication in the Gazette Of India.
Vishakha Guideline :
In 1997 , the supreme court of India in a Public Interest Litigation,
defined sexual harassment at work place, preventive measure and
redrrasal mechanism . The judgement is popularly known as
“VISHAKHA JUDGEMENT”.
9. The said guidelines in vishakha guidelines is made mandatory for
employers:
. To protect their female workers from sexual harassment.
. Proper enquiry was made necessary in case of any complaint of such
nature.
. It was directed that every organization must have committee headed
by a women to deal with such misconduct readily.
. Rules prohibiting sexual harassment should be notified and published.
10. Conclusion .
Sexual harassment act stipulates that a women should not be subjected
to sexual harassment at any work place.
