use tools and other things at work.
• Be careful about themselves and other people’s health
and safety.
• Do what employer says about health and safety.
• Tell someone if there is any problem or risk at work (boss,
employer, or health and safety representative.
There are four things employee must do to keep
themselves and other people safe at work.
8. B. EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITIES
Your rights as an employee to work in a safe and healthy
environment are given to you by law and generally cannot be
changed or removed by your employer
The most important of these rights are:
• provide safe place of work
• provide safe plant and equipment
• provide safe systems of work

safety properly controlled.
• To be provided with any personal protective and safety
equipment free of charge.
• To stop work and leave your work area, without being
disciplined if you have reasonable concerns about your
safety.
