4) Recruitment is essential for any organization in order to sustain itself.
Recruitment for the local committee is a hunt for youngsters who really want to make a
positive impact and develop themselves both professionally and personally.
New recruits will bring along with them new ideas, motivation and enthusiasm that will
lead the future generation of AIESECers. They will be considered as a global citizen and
will fight for the betterment of the world.
5) Keeping members motivated;
i) Targeting the right applicants and choosing the best applicant: avoiding making a bad
recruitment
i) Make sure that applicants understand the what, Why, How of AIESEC
ii) Focusing more on quality over quantity
iii) Improving Efficiency during the recruitment process: Unnecessary and ineffective
administration time and duplication of effort .
iv) Measuring performance and results: Generate simple and accurate reports to allow us
to measure performance
v) Reduce Recruitment Costs
6) March 2016 Recruitment was not good as expected. Many members dropped out their
duties and some remaining members were not that motivated as well. There was a lack of
synergy and communication between members. There was not a list of activities that were
supposed to be done (e.g shout out in lectures).
We targeted 500 applicants but got only 160 which mean we were not that effective in
doing advertising of the AIESEC and of the recruitment.
But looking at the positive side we managed to get a venue and we could motivate the
members for screening and selection process.
Best candidates were selected and now they are really moving the organization.
i) Making a list of activities that will maximize applicants
Make sure all team members are spending an appropriate amount of time per week on the
recruitment
Checkpoints every week to know what are the members are doing and whether they are
working on duties assigned to them.
More bonding and communications through meeting
ii) Venue was negotiated at the last minute: Make a priority list: on top should be the
venue and other logistics
We did not get sponsors nor raising: First Two weeks will be for finding raising and
sponsors; all members should be on field.
We got our posters late: Comms Department shall be working on posters the First day
itself; Deadline will be implemented to everything assigned.
7) The preparation of the recruitment process shall be done as soon as the members are
selected. Let’s assume for 18 July we can start the recruitment process by looking for
rising. We shall that is all members look for large amount of raising so that we can have a
good recruitment peak.
18 July – First OCM ; Delegating duties to members; Registration link

19 July – 21 July – Training will be given to members so as they are themselves well
informed about AIESEC. Meanwhile Raising and searching for a venue for orientation and
interview shall begin.
22 july to 28 july – Raising and meanwhile each members shall make at least 2 posters for
online promo. Shall already have a venue for atleast orientation
29july and ongoing – start online promotion and 2 members+ EB shall be given access to
link
1 August to 6 August- Whole Week going in groups for raising
8August and onwards till- 20 August- physical promotion along with orientation
21 August till 26 August – Orientation and interview
28 August – Induction because it is a Sunday and most of the time everyone are free so
they can attend the induction.
Why I started the raising first and I am focusing on raising because this time university is
starting on 8august so not to waste time we can already start raising so that when
university starts we can focus more on promotion as there will be new students this
students we can spend more time in searching more potential members.
And it will be a chance to have a large quantity of applicants as there will be so many
events and many faculties will present their respective projects such as freshers party or
even student week where we can get access to many other students.
8) We usually use large amount of paper for recruitment.
Firstly use Google forms when collaborating on documents and condense documents so
they use less space.
Collect paper or raise papers that has been used one side only and reuse it to take notes
or for drafting. We can minimize our fonts and style of writing to have more space.
