WE HAVE TAKEN MANY INTERVIEWS AND
HAVE LISTED THE PROS AND CONS OF
SOCIALIZING FROM THE ANSWERS THAT WE
HAVE GOT.
THE PROS AND THE CONS
THE PROS:-
LEARN HOW TO INTERACT WITH OTHERS
AND MAINTAIN A GOOD PUBLIC IDENTITY
THROUGH THEIR EXPOSURE TO ONLINE
SOCIALIZING.
LONG GONE ARE THE DAYS OF THE DANGER
OF STRANGER INTERACTIONS BECAUSE
INTERNET SOCIALIZING ARE FOUND OUT TO
BE MOSTLY WITHIN ACQUAINTANCES AND
FRIENDS.
People feel that socializing help them to
communicate with their relatives living far away
from them.
Many users social media users use it to tell
everyone that where they are and what they
are doing
for example:-
If a person is enjoying at las vegas he or
she will post it on the socializing sites to
tell others.
If a person is attending a meeting with an
important personality he or she will post it
on the account of theirs for others to read
it.
THE CONS:-
People usually face cyber bullying,
unwanted communications, etc. due to
which even if they have an account they
do not prefer telling their identity or
giving their original name or do not tell
their genders.
People think that it does not give the
feeling of face to face interactions.
When people read other people saying
‘that they visited some places in the
holidays’ they feel bad that they could not
visit any place due to some circumstances.
Instead of social media bringing people closer
together, it essentially becomes an
environment the others get left out.
SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BOYS
AND GIRLS.
SIMILARITIES:
1] Boys and girls both like to use their phones and the internet to have
a conversation with their friends who now live far away or those with
whom they hardly meet . ( The purpose of using the phones or
internet is the same.) Also that boys and girls use the social
networking sites to share their notes and classwork .(also for useful
use for school purposes.)
2] Most of the boys and girls do not like to change their mobile
phones every now and then , and also play some common popular
games
3] Both girls and boys agree that the social networking sites they use
like Facebook, what's app etc. are a bit addictive. And they also end
up chatting with their friends till it is midnight or later.
4] almost all boys and girls like to go outdoors and play instead of
sitting and chatting with friends . They all prefer face to face
conversations .
DIFFERENCES:
1] Most girls like to post photos on Facebook and chat while boys on
the other hand just like to chat . Most boys do not like post their
selfies unlike girls. Girls chat about important things , about the
notes , projects and things related to studies but boys chat abot their
own topic which is not mostly related to studies.
2] Most of the boys havent experinced lack of privacy but some of the
girls have experinced lack of privacy as anyone can see the pictures or
download them and edit them and all nonsense stuff .
SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MEN AND
WOMEN
3] Most boys are awake till midnight busy chatting with their friends
the friends with whom they have a face to face conversation, but still
like to chat with them on the social networking sites unlike girls.
4] Boys are more enthusiastic and so they go outdoors in the
weekends to play, insted of sitting and commenting or chatting, Girls
also like to go outdoors and play but as compared to boys the time
they spend outdoors is less.
SIMILARITIES:
Both, the women(working in offices) and men
use more internet and mobiles for
communication and are much more digitally
and socially active.
Some women and men are not interested in
allowing their children to chat on social
programes for a long time.
 Some men and women agree that the social media
and mobiles should not be allowed in the schools.
DIFFERENCES:
The men use social programes for office
purposes but the housewives use it for chatting
and sharing information.
Many women use the internet for shopping whereas
only few men use the internet for shopping purpos
.
Most of the men use the social media for
International exchange of information whereas
the women have a local interaction.
MOST OF THE PEOPLE DEDICATE A
SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF TIME AND TURN
FREQUENTLY TO ACTIVITIES RELATED TO
SOCIALIZING ON THE INTERNET.
PEOPLE SAY THAT THEY LIKE WORKING ON THE
SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES BUT SOME FEEL THAT
DUE TO THESE SITES THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN TO
PLAY OUTDOORS.
EVEN THE PARENTS ALLOW THEIR KIDS TO USE THE
SITES AS THEY CAN KEEP A CHECK ON THEM USING
FIREWALL.
PEOPLE WANT MORE SAFETY FOR USING THE
NETWORKING SITES SO THAT THEY WONT FACE ANY
DIFFICULTY IN USING THEM.
WITH THE DIGITALIZATION USAGE OF SOCIAL
MEDIA IS GOING TO BE INAVITABLE SO WE HAVE
SOME DOS AND DON’TS FOR YOU AS FOLLOWS:-
DOS:
 PLEASE CHECK THE PROFILES OF THE PEOPLE
BEFORE ACCEPTING THEIR FRIEND REQUEST.
 AVOID PUTTING YOUR PICTURES.
 PLEASE CONFIRM THE THINGS YOU POST.
 FOR TEENAGERS: CONSULT YOUR PARENTS.
 PLEASE DO THE APPROPRIATE CATEGORISATION
OF THE CONTACTS LIKE FRIENDS , FAMILIES
,ETC.
 PLEASE READ THE LISENSING AGREEMENTS
CAREFULLY.
DONT’S:
 ANYTHING YOU POST IS CONSIDERED AS
PUBLISHING. ANY WRONG INFORMATION MAY BE
CONSIDERED AS FRAUDENT. AND IS
PUNISHABLE.
 PLEASE DO NOT SHARE YOUR PERSONAL
INFORMATION WITH ANYONE.
 DO NOT CLICK ON THE POPUPS.
 DO NOT SHARE ANY PASSWORDS EVEN TO YOUR
FRIENDS.
 DO NOT FORGET TO LOG OUT BEFORE
SWITCHING THE COMPUTER OFF.

  • 15. THE PROS:- LEARN HOW TO INTERACT WITH OTHERS AND MAINTAIN A GOOD PUBLIC IDENTITY THROUGH THEIR EXPOSURE TO ONLINE SOCIALIZING. LONG GONE ARE THE DAYS OF THE DANGER OF STRANGER INTERACTIONS BECAUSE INTERNET SOCIALIZING ARE FOUND OUT TO BE MOSTLY WITHIN ACQUAINTANCES AND FRIENDS.
  • 16. People feel that socializing help them to communicate with their relatives living far away from them. Many users social media users use it to tell everyone that where they are and what they are doing for example:- If a person is enjoying at las vegas he or she will post it on the socializing sites to tell others. If a person is attending a meeting with an important personality he or she will post it on the account of theirs for others to read it.
  • 17. THE CONS:- People usually face cyber bullying, unwanted communications, etc. due to which even if they have an account they do not prefer telling their identity or giving their original name or do not tell their genders. People think that it does not give the feeling of face to face interactions. When people read other people saying ‘that they visited some places in the
  • 18. holidays’ they feel bad that they could not visit any place due to some circumstances. Instead of social media bringing people closer together, it essentially becomes an environment the others get left out. SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BOYS AND GIRLS. SIMILARITIES: 1] Boys and girls both like to use their phones and the internet to have a conversation with their friends who now live far away or those with whom they hardly meet .
