9. Educational Technology is study and ethical
practice of facilitating learning and improving
performance by creating, using and managing
appropriate Technological process and resources.
10.
11. Technology is a blessing for man technology, there
a lot that we can do which we could not then. However,
when not used properly, technology becomes a
determent to learning and development. It can destroy
relationship.
It depends on how we use technology . If we use it
to help our students and teachers become caring,
relating, thinking, reflecting, and analysing and feeling
begins, then it is boon, a blessing. But if we abuse and
misuse it and so contribute to our ruin and downfall
and those of other persons, it becomes a bane or a
curse.
12.
13. The FOCUS of systematic instructional planning is
the STUDENT.
It tells about the systematic approach to teaching in
which the focus in the teaching is the students.
The systems approach views the entire educational
program as a system of closely interrelated parts. It is an
orchestrated learning PATTERN with all parts
harmoniously integrated into the whole : the school, the
teacher, the students, the objectives, the media, the
materials, and assessment tools and procedures.
18. Constructivism is basically a theory-based on
observation and scientific study- about how people learn. It
says that people construct their own understanding and
knowledge of the world, through experiencing things and
reflecting on those experiences. When we encounter
something new, we have to reconcile it with previous ideas
and experience, maybe changing what we believe, or maybe
discarding the new information as irrelevant.
19. This differentiated from reception (meeting point
of meaningful and discovery learning) in which ideas
are presented to student in well-organized way, such as
through detailed set of instruction to complete an
experiment.
Ever recalled why you are so nervous, yet very
excited in doing experiment? It is because of the idea
that you are about discover something first hand.
20. Here, we have active listener who attend to
learning events and generate meaning from this
experience and draw inferences thereby creating a
personal model of explanation to the new experience
in the context of existing knowledge.
This is viewed as different from the simple process
of storing information. Motivation and responsibility
and crucial to this domain of learning.
21. In the learning process, the learner is
encouraged to recognize relevant experience.
A reward structure is set so that the learner
will have both interest and confidence.
In the classroom, hands-on activities are
introduced as to simulate learning in
everyday day living.
22.
23. A visual model, a pictorial device that
presents bands of experience arranged
according to degree of abstraction and not
degree of difficulty. 2M’s (media, material)
are the elements of the cone of
experiences.
24.
25. - First hand experiences which serve as the
foundation of our learning.
- we make use of a representative models or
mock-ups of reality for practical reasons.
26. Dramatized experiences
- by dramatization, we can participate in a
reconstructed experience even though the
original event is far remove from us in time.
Demonstration
- it is a visualized explanation of an important
fact/idea or process by the use of photographs,
drawing, films, displays or guided motion.
27. - these are the excursions educational trips and visits
conducted to observe an event that is unavailable within
the classroom.
- these are displays to be seen by spectators.
- can reconstruct the reality of the past so effectively
that we can made to feel we are there.
28. - visual and auditory devices.
- these are no longer realistic reproduction of
physical things for these are highly abstract
representation.
- the things involved in this level are words, ideas,
principles, formula, and the likes.
29.
30. Technology as tools to support knowledge
construction.
Technology as information vehicles for exploring
knowledge to support Learning-by-constructing.
Technology as “context to support” Learning-by-
doing, “social medium” to support Learning-by-
conversing and “intellectual partners” to support
Learning-by-reflecting.
“Technology makes the world a better place”
31.
32. As context to support learning-by-doing: for
representing and simulating meaningful real-world
problems, situations and context, for representing
beliefs, perspectives, arguments and stories of others,
for defining a safe, controllable problem space for
student thinking.
As a social medium to support learning by
conversing: for collaboration with others, for
discussing, arguing and building consensus among
members of a community, for supporting discourse
among knowledge.
33. Educational Technology 2 is concerned with
integrating technology in teaching and learning.
Specifically this is focused on introducing,
reinforcing, supplementing and extending the
knowledge and skills to learners so that they can
become exemplary users of educational
technology.
34.
35. We after Educational Technology 2, we could say that we really learn
a lot from this class, because this class is more on hands on and I feel like I
can graph the big ideas if I knew how to use more thing in technology like
for example: sending a message using a g-mail account so based on that we
experience difficulties by sending a message we solve it by exploring. We
realized that information technology is very important in our life, because of
the information technology we can do everything we want .
36. It is easy to used get information. As a future teacher , it can also of great use
to professional teacher, school management program and curriculum. It
integrating information technology in instruction should not be considered as
a formidable task, but rather as a refreshing and exciting given the idea that
all learning should be fun. We considered that we are not illiterate people on
how to used information technology.
