“Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth ― a family-
friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a
celebration of the Maker Movement. It’s a place where people show
what they are making, and share what they are learning... find the
inspiration to become Makers themselves.” (https://makerfaire.com)

Editor's Notes
Ask: Who has heard of a Maker Faire? Attended one? Hosted a booth in one, via SWE or elsewhere
- tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors.
- DIY (Do-It-Yourself) showcase of stuff that doesn’t fit into traditional art or science or craft events.
-Booths/participants are predominantly male while the young attendees are much less skewed.
- Women hosting booths -> can and do take active roles in Maker activities
-Children, students, collegiate, educators, troops, parents, and general community
