Wallet Designing for product designing

1. DESIGNING A WALLET

2. DESIGN IDEAL WALLET
• The first part of the project was design a wallet within
three minutes.
• It is a challenging task but I have to think of an ideal
wallet.
• First and basic idea was to divide it into two parts and
there should be a handle for holding and a cross hook for
protection which is attached to a flap.
• Where in one part we can keep all the coins and the
other part would be further divided into two small parts.
• On those small parts there is a cash holder and a card
holder and on the front of the small parts there is a part
for your personal photos.

SET OF QUESTIONS
• Can you show me your wallet?
• Why did you buy particularly this wallet?
• What is the thing you think must be there
in a wallet?
• Can you describe the moment where you
thought you should have more functional
wallet and what is that like?
• What do you carry in your wallet usually?
• Where do you keep your wallet or you use
a wallet which has a long chain to carry on
the shoulder?
• How often do you use your wallet?

4. CAPTURE FINDINGS
• I need a little buffed, if completely flat then when notes and coins
inserted it will feel bulky.
• I need colours of course.
• I need my card slots to be wider.
• I need little bag hangers as well cute ones and when purchasing a
purse that is a must. I prefer tassels, dolls or some cute key
chains.
• One handle would be good.

5. TAKE A STAND WITH A POINT OF VIEW
• My client’s name is Miss Sunanda Priyadarshini.
• She wants to carry her personal things and money etc. in a
simplest way possible.
• Although she is getting different kind off stuffs in the market but
those products are not able to satisfy her needs.

7. SHARE SOLUTIONS AND GET FEEDBACK
• Design1: This design is a attractive one although there is small drawback to this,
it has a very small coin pouch.
• Design2: This design can be my favourite one because it is carrying all that i
need and also a small purse attached to it which can further be detachable.
• Design3: This design will take a little more tie to explain because it has
everything i wished for but there is big drawback to it, it is round and
cylindrical shape which is nowadays out of fashion.
• Design4: It is small wallet and easy to carry along with anything, i can put it in a
bag or can carry it individually and i also can remove the chain/handle which is
there to carry the wallet. Without that handle it can also carry it in my hand,
because it is very lightweight and easy to carry along.
• Design5: This design is so simple but it doesn’t have all the things you wished
for and it has a separate tag to attach photos, but it has not any cross hook. It
can only be closed by the zipper.

• The feedback which I got from my partner was “It’s so amazing, it
has everything that I need at the first place.”
Sunanda really enjoyed the design but somehow she also got
attracted to the second design also, which had a separate purse
which can be carried individually or inside the handbag.
