Solution
To operate globally in today's world is becoming much more desirable for even very small
businesses because of various advantages in regard to customers, talents, financing, competition,
etc. associated in becoming a global entity. It is more likely that global companies will become
the new norm than exception as communication technology improving day by day as also
shipping costs continue to becoming more and more affordable, no matter what industry or line
of work is. Major gains are being envisaged in taking the business to the global level.
The concept of globalization refers to the emergence of a complementary set of organizational
structures to manage the expanding network of international economic activity and transactions
and flow of resources across national borders. A global economy is one where firms operate
transnational beyond the confines of national boundaries. The business environment has become
more competitive than in the past because of globalization. Businesses have to focus harder on
their competitive strengths in developing appropriate long-term strategies to survive in this new
situation. By giving an example of Japan's success despite its lacking natural resources Bardwell
and Holden (1997) support the notion that development is achievable by and through the people
to move forward in terms of economic development. Innovation, Quality and Cost Leadership
are the three most important factors in achieving competitive advantage as identified by
Armstrong which depend on the quality of an organization

Major gains are being envisaged in taking the business to the global level. The concept of globalization refers to the emergence of a complementary set of organizational structures to manage the expanding network of international economic activity and transactions and flow of resources across national borders. A global economy is one where firms operate transnational beyond the confines of national boundaries. The business environment has become more competitive than in the past because of globalization. Businesses have to focus harder on their competitive strengths in developing appropriate long-term strategies to survive in this new situation. By giving an example of Japan's success despite its lacking natural resources Bardwell and Holden (1997) support the notion that development is achievable by and through the people to move forward in terms of economic development. Innovation, Quality and Cost Leadership are the three most important factors in achieving competitive advantage as identified by Armstrong which depend on the quality of an organization
