(A) Vikram Ispat ( Joined in 1989 till 1995 )
This plant produces hot briquette iron (HBI & DRI) from iron ore.
Immediately after graduation, I joined M/S Vikram Ispat in Alibaug, near Mumbai. I was responsible for
erection & commissioning of the complete plant including power plant having 4x2.5 MW DG set of SKODA
make & 1x 10.8 MW STG set of BHEL make. I have worked here in green field project from inception of the
project. I have done erection, commissioning and maintenance of the entire electrical system
(B) Oswal chemicals & fertilizer (Uttar Pradesh, India) (from 1995-1996)
This plant produces urea fertilizer.
I was responsible for commissioning of entire electrical work related to Urea plant. I have joined here as
Assistant Manager & did erection & commissioning of the entire plant within the tenure of 10 months.
(C) P.T. INDO BHARAT RAYON, INDONESIA (FROM 1996 TILL Oct 2016)
This plant produces viscose staple fibre. It is a chemical plant having corrosive gasses as CS2, SO2, and H2S.
To maintain & operate electronic & electrical appliances in this most corrosive area is a challenge to perform.
I joined PT Indo Bharat Indonesia as deputy Manager & currently working as Deputy General Manager.
The Year 1996 to 2003 (worked as Deputy Manager of electrical department): Maintenance of the entire
electrical installation in 230 TPD Viscose staple fiber plant
The Year 2003 to 2006 (worked as Manager of electrical department) : The additional responsibility of
expansion project of installing 100 TPD line with 2x10.8 MW coal based power plant with 3x75 TPH capacity
boilers beside electrical maintenance of old 230 TPD VSF plant.
The Year 2006 to 2007 (promoted to Assistant General Manager of electrical department): The additional
responsibility of putting up one more line of 100 TPD to add viscose manufacturing facility, besides electrical
maintenance of 330 TPD VSF plant & 22 MW power plant.
The Year 2007 to 2010 (promoted to Deputy General Manager of electrical department): The additional
responsibility of putting one more line of 120 TPD with 1x15 MW turbine & 120 TPH CFBC boiler, besides
electrical maintenance of 430 TPD Viscose Staple Fibre plant & 22 MW power plant.
The Year 2010 to 2012 (HOD of electrical department): The total responsibility of Electrical maintenance of
550 TPD viscose staple fiber plant with 36 MW power plant.
The Year 2012 to 2014 (HOD of electrical department): The additional responsibility of putting one more
spinning line of 180 TPD, besides maintenance of electrical installation of 550 TPD Viscose Staple Fibre plant &
37 MW power plant.
The Year 2014- till Oct 2016: ): The additional responsibility of putting 120 TPD Wet Sulphuric acid plant
besides maintenance of electrical installation of 580 TPD VSF plant & 37 MW power plant.
I have designed, installed & commissioned the complete electrical system for the entire above stated projects
& presently looking after Maintenance of the above-stated project.
(D) BIRLA CELLULOSIC, INDIA (FROM NOV’ 2016 TILL NOW)
This plant produces viscose staple fiber. It is a chemical plant having corrosive gasses as CS2, SO2, and H2S.
To maintain & operate electronic & electrical appliances in this most corrosive area is a challenge to perform.
I am currently working as Deputy General Manager in Birla cellulosic.

My Present Responsibilities in electrical & automation item maintenance are:
(A) MAIN PLANT ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
1. MV panel ( Siemens/ABB): 12 KV Vacuum & SF6 breakers
2. Relays ( Siemens/ABB/SEL/AREVA/ENGLISH ELECTRIC): Numerical and electromagnetic type relays
3. Transformer ( Pauwell/Crompton/ TRAFINDO): Oil filled type ranging from 10 MVA to 2 MVA
4. Bus Duct (GE/DBTS): Epoxy filled sandwiched type 4000 AMPS.
5. PCC (ABB/SIEMENS): Air insulated 4000 amps
6. Substation design: with arc detection system, air conditioning & Fire extinguishing system
7. MCC (ABB/SIEMENS): Fixed /draw out/ semi draw out type
8. Battery charger(Saft Knife,Chloride,Amaraja & Chhabi): 24 V Dc & 110 DC up to 450AH capacity with
one working & auto changeover to standby.
9. Motors (ABB/SIEMENS/CMG/CROMPTON/KIRLOSKAR/BROOK HANSEN): 380 volt & 6600 volt AC
motor & smaller rating DC motors & slip ring motors in crane duty
10. Lightning protection: Conventional type & Early Streamer type
11. Cable (Power/control/Instrumentation: XLPE /PVC/ DTA copper cable 12kv (UE) & low voltage
variety of cable with variety of instrumentation cables.
12. UPS ( DB power system/Emerson): 2x20 KVA with static bypass
13. Emergency Diesel set & emergency power: 1500KVA Diesel Generator set
14. Telephone system: complete telephone exchange with VOIP systems, with 30 trunk lines & 600
internal lines.
15. Public address system : Philips make system
16. Fire detection & protection system for electrical panels
17. Corrosion protection of electronic & electrical items: As per IEC 60721-3-3 & ISA S701.04
18. Emergency power
19. PLC based load shedding scheme: GE makes PLC- based system with fibre optic communication
20. Hazardous area classification: Equipment suitable for IIC,T6 for CS2 gas
21. MIS report for power generation, Transmission & distribution.
22. Various schemes preparation for reliability & safety of entire electrical installation & submitting it to
management for approval.
23. Planning of monthly expenditure of USD 80,000 towards maintenance.
24. Chillers, compressor & other utility related electrical maintenance.
25. Leader of power saving project team.
(B) CAPTIVE POWER PLANT AND GRID ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.
1. 1x15 MW double extraction with condensing Turbine & 2x10.8 MW extraction cum backpressure
turbine.
2. 1x120TPH CFBC boiler & 3x75 TPH AFBC boilers.
3. Electrostatic precipitator for all the boilers.
4. DM plant having 4 streams of rating 100 TPH each.
5. Coal handling plant suitable for handling 1000 T of coal /day with primary crusher & secondary
crusher and double Girder crane of 45 Ton
6. Ash handling plant suitable for handling 75 T of ash/day.
7. 70 KV switchyard having three power transformer 1x10 MVA & 2x 7.5 MVA ratings.
8. Synchronization & parallel running of all the Turbines with each other & with Grid.
9. Import/export control of Grid power so as to maintain the minimum flow of power from Grid.
10. PLC based Load shedding to maintain the stability of power plant in case of grid disturbances or
internal disturbance.
11. Islanding of the captive power plant in case of Grid disturbance or internal disturbance
12. Emergency Diesel Generator with auto start up & back synchronization arrangement.
(C ) AUTOMATION EQUIPMENT
1. High-end Siemens Automation system like PLC S7-400/1200 & WIN CC/TIA portal.
2. High-end Rockwell automation system like PLC RS Logix -5000 & RS view.
3. Various communication protocol like Profibus, ethernet, control net, MPI etc.
4. Variable frequency drive of ABB/Siemens/Yasakawa/Allen Bradley/Danfoss/Vacon etc
5. Field equipments like sensors, proximity switches etc.
Additional Skills
 I am familiar with Hazop analysis & have done it for my existing plant.
 I am a computer literate & know how to MS Word, Excel & Power Point & CAD
 I have done training in MS projects & have designed the complete project with the formation of S
curve.
 SAP literate & fully conversant with MM module/ project module
Special Achievement
I have designed integration of Grid receiving substation power with own power generation & complete
islanding system in case of a disturbance in the grid. I was successful in islanding our power plant from State
Grid successfully in more than 100’s of the event. There is no BLACK OUT due to PLN disturbances for last 3
years in spite of heavy thunder storm & lightning in Indonesia.

Immediately after graduation, I joined M/S Vikram Ispat in Alibaug, near Mumbai. I was responsible for erection & commissioning of the complete plant including power plant having 4x2.5 MW DG set of SKODA make & 1x 10.8 MW STG set of BHEL make. I have worked here in green field project from inception of the project. I have done erection, commissioning and maintenance of the entire electrical system (B) Oswal chemicals & fertilizer (Uttar Pradesh, India) (from 1995-1996) This plant produces urea fertilizer. I was responsible for commissioning of entire electrical work related to Urea plant. I have joined here as Assistant Manager & did erection & commissioning of the entire plant within the tenure of 10 months. (C) P.T. INDO BHARAT RAYON, INDONESIA (FROM 1996 TILL Oct 2016)
  • 3. This plant produces viscose staple fibre. It is a chemical plant having corrosive gasses as CS2, SO2, and H2S. To maintain & operate electronic & electrical appliances in this most corrosive area is a challenge to perform. I joined PT Indo Bharat Indonesia as deputy Manager & currently working as Deputy General Manager. The Year 1996 to 2003 (worked as Deputy Manager of electrical department): Maintenance of the entire electrical installation in 230 TPD Viscose staple fiber plant The Year 2003 to 2006 (worked as Manager of electrical department) : The additional responsibility of expansion project of installing 100 TPD line with 2x10.8 MW coal based power plant with 3x75 TPH capacity boilers beside electrical maintenance of old 230 TPD VSF plant. The Year 2006 to 2007 (promoted to Assistant General Manager of electrical department): The additional responsibility of putting up one more line of 100 TPD to add viscose manufacturing facility, besides electrical maintenance of 330 TPD VSF plant & 22 MW power plant. The Year 2007 to 2010 (promoted to Deputy General Manager of electrical department): The additional responsibility of putting one more line of 120 TPD with 1x15 MW turbine & 120 TPH CFBC boiler, besides electrical maintenance of 430 TPD Viscose Staple Fibre plant & 22 MW power plant. The Year 2010 to 2012 (HOD of electrical department): The total responsibility of Electrical maintenance of 550 TPD viscose staple fiber plant with 36 MW power plant. The Year 2012 to 2014 (HOD of electrical department): The additional responsibility of putting one more spinning line of 180 TPD, besides maintenance of electrical installation of 550 TPD Viscose Staple Fibre plant & 37 MW power plant. The Year 2014- till Oct 2016: ): The additional responsibility of putting 120 TPD Wet Sulphuric acid plant besides maintenance of electrical installation of 580 TPD VSF plant & 37 MW power plant. I have designed, installed & commissioned the complete electrical system for the entire above stated projects & presently looking after Maintenance of the above-stated project. (D) BIRLA CELLULOSIC, INDIA (FROM NOV’ 2016 TILL NOW) This plant produces viscose staple fiber. It is a chemical plant having corrosive gasses as CS2, SO2, and H2S. MV panel ( Siemens/ABB): 12 KV Vacuum & SF6 breakers 2. Relays ( Siemens/ABB/SEL/AREVA/ENGLISH ELECTRIC): Numerical and electromagnetic type relays 3. Transformer ( Pauwell/Crompton/ TRAFINDO): Oil filled type ranging from 10 MVA to 2 MVA 4. Bus Duct (GE/DBTS): Epoxy filled sandwiched type 4000 AMPS. 5. PCC (ABB/SIEMENS): Air insulated 4000 amps 6. Electrostatic precipitator for all the boilers. 4. DM plant having 4 streams of rating 100 TPH each. 5. Coal handling plant suitable for handling 1000 T of coal /day with primary crusher & secondary crusher and double Girder crane of 45 Ton 6. Ash handling plant suitable for handling 75 T of ash/day. 7. 70 KV switchyard having three power transformer 1x10 MVA & 2x 7.5 MVA ratings. 8. Synchronization & parallel running of all the Turbines with each other & with Grid. 9. Import/export control of Grid power so as to maintain the minimum flow of power from Grid. 10. PLC based Load shedding to maintain the stability of power plant in case of grid disturbances or internal disturbance. 11. Field equipments like sensors, proximity switches etc. Additional Skills  I am familiar with Hazop analysis & have done it for my existing plant.  I am a computer literate & know how to MS Word, Excel & Power Point & CAD  I have done training in MS projects & have designed the complete project with the formation of S curve.  SAP literate & fully conversant with MM module/ project module Special Achievement I have designed integration of Grid receiving substation power with own power generation & complete islanding system in case of a disturbance in the grid. I was successful in islanding our power plant from State Grid successfully in more than 100’s of the event. There is no BLACK OUT due to PLN disturbances for last 3 years in spite of heavy thunder storm & lightning in Indonesia.
