3. INTRODUCTION TO ABL
• Activity based learning is a part of our syllabus which deals
with performing several activities related to technical as well
as non technical topics for holistic development.
• We were supposed to perform various activities like situation
reaction test, Thematic apperception test , case study,
designing a survey and blog writing.
4. DAY 1 ACTIVITY
SITUATION REACTION TEST
OBJECTIVES :
• The objective of the test is to
judge whether a candidate
possess guts and capacity to
tackle odd situations with an alert
mind.
• The test brings out the qualities
of clear thinking, logical course of
action and quick decision making.
• We were given the sheet of 104
situation out of which we were
suppose to solve minimum 60
situations in 30 minutes.
OUTCOME:
• We got new experience from this
test.
• To be honest we as a students ,
we weren't able to solve 60
questions in 30 minutes . But we
really tried solving them.
• This test also made us aware of
rapid question solving skills which
are quite helpful in our career and
our life.
• We were able to think clearly and
logically and were able to make
quick decision.
5. Situation Reaction Test
• You are travelling from Delhi to Madras. On the way you discover that you have
lost your ticket as well as your purse. What would you do?
I would ask someone for help or use my phone to contact the rail
department
• You got lottery of Rs 1, 00,000. How would you utilize the money?
I would invest some of it in stocks or store it in the bank.
• The house opposite yours in the street has caught fire. What you would do?
I would immediately call the fire department and alert all the neighbours.
6. DAY 1 ACTIVITY
THEMATIC APPERCEPTION TEST (TAT)
OBJECTIVES :
• The Thematic Apperception Test, or TAT,
is a type of projective test that involves
describing ambiguous scenes. Popularly
known as the "picture interpretation
technique.
• Thematic apperception tests are meant
to evoke an involuntary display of one's
subconscious.
• The TAT is based on the projective
hypothesis. Projective tests assume that
the way that a test taker perceives and
responds to an ambiguous scene reveals
inner needs, feelings, conflicts, and
desires.
OUTCOME:
• In tat ,we were shown 11
different images through zoom
meeting in 30 minutes and we
were suppose to write the
problem statement for that
image.
• Also TAT helps in checking one’s
quick analysis speed or the way of
judging a picture by just having a
quick look.
7. Thematic Apperception Test
Rahul wanted to cross the river and was
looking for someone to ferry him. He saw a
sketchy looking person ready to ferry him
from his motorboat. Rahul hesitantly agreed
to go. Midway through the journey the guy
pointed his gun at Rahul and asked him to
hand all his money and belongings. Rahul
agreed and complied the guy then kicked
Rahul off the boat and sped away. Rahul
fortunately knew how to swim and barely
managed to make it back to the riverbank. He
then went to the police station to report the
incident.
8. DAY 2 ACTIVITY
• CASE STUDY
OBJECTIVE :
The general purpose of a case study is to:
• Describe an individual situation (case),
e.g. a person, business, organization, or
institution, in detail;
• identify the key issues of the case (your
assignment question should tell you what
to focus on);
• Analyse, the case using relevant
theoretical concepts from your unit or
discipline;
• Recommend a course of action for that
particular case (particularly for problem-
solving case studies).
OUTCOME:
• We were given 20 topics for case study
out of which we were suppose to do case
study on one topic.
• on our selected topic ,we were suppose
to given introduction, and mention
methodology, instruments used to collect
data, problems while predicting data,
steps taken to address problem ,
challenges face, results and conclusion in
our case study .
• Our topic for case study was Air
pollution prediction .
• From case study activity we were able to
learn the new skills .
9. Case Study topic: Air pollution
prediction
• Air pollution forecasting is the application of science and technology to predict the composition
of the air pollution in the atmosphere for a given location and time.
• Mainstream pollution prediction algorithms tend to utilize air quality index or PM2.5
concentration to indicate pollution level.
• The forecast may give the pollutant's concentration or the air quality index.
• Countries and cities are given forecasts by state and local government organizations, as well as
private companies like Airly, AirVisual, Aerostate, BreezoMeter, PlumeLabs, and DRAXIS that
provide air pollution forecasts.
• While the effects of air pollution on materials, vegetation, and animals can be measured, health
effects on humans can only be estimated from epidemiological evidence.
• Most of the evidence comes from occupational exposure to much higher concentrations of
pollutants than the general public is exposed to.
10. DAY 3 ACTIVITY
GROUP DISCUSSION
OBJECTIVE :
• Breeding fresh ideas and taking
inputs from a particular group.
• Perception of common people on a
particular topic.
• Identify a solution to a specific
problem or issue.
OUTCOME:
• Group discussion helps to train our
self to discuss and counter view
the points in a group.
• It improves thinking, listening and
speaking skills in public.
• It promotes confidence level.
• Learn to control the conversation
skill and in our way to express our
views.
11. Group Discussion Topic:
Secure digital voting system based on
blockchain technology.
• Blockchain can solve the many problems discovered in these early attempts at
online voting. A blockchain-based voting application does not concern itself
with the security of its Internet connection, because any hacker with access to
the terminal will not be able to affect other nodes.
• Voters can effectively submit their vote without revealing their identity or
political preferences to the public. Officials can count votes with absolute
certainty, knowing that each ID can be attributed to one vote, no fakes can be
created, and that tampering is impossible.
• There are already companies working to bring blockchain to the voting
populace. One such firm is Horizon State, which has launched a unique solution
to answer the question, “If democracy was designed with today’s technology,
what would it look like?” The company believes its first product is the answer.
The company is currently preparing an ICO, planned for October.
12. DAY 4 ACTIVITY
SURVEY DESIGN
Objective :
• Survey design is the process of creating surveys with the goal
of receiving maximum insights from survey research.
• It includes using an online survey tool to design a survey from
scratch or using ready-made survey templates.

purpose of showing thought leadership and
expertise on a topic.
• They are a great way to generate fresh
content on a website and provide a catalyst
for email marketing, social media promotion
to drive search traffic to your website.
• Blogging provides the opportunity for you to
connect with your existing and potential
