This document discusses potential filming locations for a zombie horror trailer, including abandoned train tracks overgrown after years of disuse, providing a rundown look for scenes of survivors walking the tracks in a post-apocalyptic setting. It also mentions a town that could represent an abandoned community if filmed at night, and an abandoned, burnt building fitting for the genre due to its run-down, long-unused state.
1. Location scouting
This is a potential location for the train track location that we use for our trailer. This setting will be
used for the part of the trailer where the survivors are walking over train tracks. These train tracks
have been out of use for many years and so have a rundown look to them as they have become
slightly worn and overgrown over the years. This is perfect for our trailer as it is about a zombie
apocalypse that has led to the area being completely abandoned.
This is a potential location for the town part of our trailer. The shots will be taken at night when it is
not busy. This will create the impression that the town is abandoned and the darkness will be very
conventional for the horror genre, creating more suspense.
This is a potential location of the abandoned building part of our trailer, this is a good setting for the
trailer as the building is very run down and is burnt out slightly, it has been completely out of use for
numerous years and so fits the zombie horror sub-genre perfectly.
