Subject: Letter of Reference for Sae€d Akhtar MS, pMp
To Whom It May Concem;
I have worked with Mr. Akhtar br five years on an o(temdy compticaH project a
ship design and constuction project for the UAE Navy. Mr. Akhtar has been forced to
inEract witi personnd from 20 different companies located in t1 counties. He has
been forced to accept the customs and traditions of their business practices as well as
their social interactions. At one point, we were both stationed in Northem France, with
his stay extending over two years in length,
During all these penods, Mr. Akttar was forced to lead various aspects of the poject
and manage the technical, programmauc, and personnel issues as the manager, and
with litde or no precedence for guidance.
Mr. Akhtar implemented prcven programmatic management prccedures and
professional communicatims to guide and coach d|e suppliers of the equipment
through an arduous design and devdopment phase, relying on pKwen management
techniques tJEt would be familiar b the subordinate comDanies as u/€I as usetul
toward the eventual successful mnclujon of the projects as:tgned to him to manage.
Mr. Akhhr studied professional program management principles, and he implemented
them successfully, in a timely manner. His actions as a Droftsslonal manaqer
impl€mentlng established techntques dh€ctly confibut€d to the auccess of the projfo,
as well as the advancement and training of his colleagues. His conhibution in
technlques is in use by the UAE Navy on similar shipbuilding projects as the o€mple to
follow
It rras my pleasure and priMlege to work with Mr. Akhtar.
