This is my midterm project from my distribution class while I was attending Full Sail University. I dissected Trippie $ac's fanbase and decided on the most effective price points and distribution methods for his music.
2. Artist Interview
Who do they play with? Do they open or do they have bands that open for them?:
SP-404SX. Trippie $ac DJs and Preforms to his instrumental tracks live
Who is competition? Local and national level. Artists they are currently in competition with and potential?:
Bad Snacks would be the national competition, a popular lo-fi artist on bandcamp. A local competitor would thebootlegboy2, a local youtuber who puts up similar lo-fi compilations similar to the videos
Trippie puts together.
Is this the first album for the artist? If not, how many have they distributed and what were the sales numbers? Find out their sales history.:
2 albums and 2 eps have been distributed, these releases have garnered a total of 2889 on Apple Music and 3639 on Spotify.
Do they have a website for distribution set up? If not, are they using a platform for distribution, like Bandcamp or Soundcloud?:
Trippie $ac has both channels set up. He distributes through Distrokid along with having them for free download on his websites. He also has his music up on Bandcamp.
What is their following like? Do they have audience numbers? If so, where? On social media, an email list, or live events?:
Trippie $ac has his largest following on Snapchat and Instagram. Trippie gets between 180-300 views on his stories.
What do they need distributed? Are they looking to distribute a single or an album?:
Trippie $ac is mixing and mastering the first Elevator Jams EP and is looking to distribute it through his Distrokid account.
Are they looking to distribute any physical products or ancillary products?
Trippie $ac is going to distribute t-shirts and stickers for this release. He also plans to burn CDs of the project himself.
What is the plan for a music video for this upcoming material?:
Trippie plans to put together a YouTube compilation to go with the EP.
What is the overall goal? To get enough sales for a big distributor to pick them up or something else?:
The point of this EP is to introduce Elevator Jams as a community for creatives to collaborate and provide a platform emerging talent.

Trippie $ac is the executive producers along with help from Horiizon Beats.

We plan to send out emails in hopes of getting blog spots and possibly some online radio play.

Female, with tattoos, 16-24 years old, they wear beanies they shop at H&M and thrift stores.
Do you have an idea on how much you would like to charge for your music? How do you feel about streaming on Spotify?:
We are going to charge $7.00 for the CD and distribute to all major streaming services.
