Audience feedback summary
Focus Group summary

 Over all the target audience of the project liked the trailer, they thought
that it was very conventional with trailer’s and thriller’s in general.

 They thought that the genre was very clearly shown.

 The choice of music they found that it was effective and the fast paced
editing as these were the specific things which they said they liked.

 They liked the story and the way which it was portrayed & how the
trailer kept them intrigued as they said they would watch the whole film
  if it came out.

 The only negative was that the text came and left the screen too fast as
they found they had to try and read it quickly.
Wall Wisher Summary

 The audience like the music and the effect which it gave.

 They “Loved” the ending and thought that it was effective
  as it “made them jump.

 They also thought that the Make-up and costume were very
  effective.

 The negatives were that they thought the trailer was a little
too fast in some places and that the long dialogue and the
end stopped the mood of the trailer.
Questionnaire Summary

 When asked for the audiences first impressions on the trailer they said that they
thought it was Creepy, Scary, spooky and that they thought it was well edited and
had all the elements of a thriller trailer.

 On a scale of 1-10 on it’s conventions the majority people asked gave it an 8 and said
that the conventions were one of it’s strengths.

 The strengths were also said to be the special effects, the music, Costume and make
up and how well it grabs attention.

 When asked if they would the trailer intrigue you to watching the film the majority
of people said maybe and the others said yes.

 When asked if they liked the Trailer and if they thought that it served its purpose
  everyone asked said yes.

 The weaknesses of the trailer were that the text was a little too fast on screen, and
that the dialogue was too long.
Ancillary audience feedback

 The audience thought that the image which I used was very
effective especially for the genre of the project. They thought
the it was “Creepy”, “Spooky and had a ghostly appearance”.

 They liked how the font colours on the poster were used also
on the magazine cover, which showed the link.

 They like the layout of the Magazine as it was clear on each
section and which article was the main one.

 They liked the colour variation on the poster and thought that
the font which was used went really well with the genre too.
They like the layout especially how the actors names were
  large and at the top.
The results from my focus group have supported my
Questionnaire and Wall wisher. From all three I have
found that to improve the project I could slow down
the on screen text to make it easier to read so the
audience would know clearly what was being said.
Also that the dialogue was too long nearer the end so
it would be better if it were shorter which would help
make the flow of the trailer better.
