As an Assembly Mechanic at GEMCO, I see through the complete assembly and maintenance of blenders,
dryers, formulators, and recovery systems for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and metal powders. The process
begins by fabrication of supports,vessels,motor and reducer bases,covers,shafts,gemcomatic valves and
trays, and all other necessary components.Following engineering blueprints, the machine is completely
assembled using any necessary welding, grinding, polishing, painting, Milling Tapping, and drilling
techniques.The machine is then tested to comply with customer requirements and then shipped ready to use.
As Group Leader, I am in charge of the Mechanic Assembly, Welding, and Polishing Departments. In this
position I delegate the work between all the members of the departments and make sure that everything is
finished on time. I must personally conduct quality control on every single fabricated part, as well as the
finished product. I coordinate maintenance for the two buildings in which work is done. I interview for new
hires as well as conduct welding tests for them.
