2. Exam integrity is paramount.
In order to grade exams, and measure your
understanding of the material, I need to
ensure that all work is your own. The
following guidelines apply to everyone
equally. I want to share these guidelines so
we all know them and there are no surprises.
3. No talking during the exam.
No unauthorized communication with anyone
outside the classroom. (Texting, photos,
emails, etc.)
No unauthorized communication with anyone
inside the classroom. (Notes, Morse code,
texting, photos, emails, etc.)
4. Scrap paper will be provided.
I reserve the right to inspect anything on your
desk, including but not limited to: calculators,
drinks, cups, pencil cases, etc.
Only authorized materials may be on your
desk. All other materials (notebooks, books,
purses, coats, etc.) must be off the desk.
5. A countdown of the time remaining will be
provided, not to scare you, but to help you
regulate your own time.
If you have any questions about the exam,
ASK! I cannot measure your understanding
you do not understand the question.
If you have a question, raise your hand.
6. • You may use the restroom if no one else has completed the exam.
After the first person has turned in the exam, no one may use the
restroom.
• If you want to use the restroom, raise your hand.
• I will collect your exam, scrap paper, and calculator.
• Show me where you put your phone, preferably in your bag that you
leave in the room. If you do not have such a bag, I will hold on to it
until you come back.
• Depending on the location of the restroom, I may escort you or wait
outside the classroom door until you come back.
Below are the guidelines to using the restroom
during an exam.
