2. Narrative overview
• Greg and Stacey, a young married couple in their 20s, are living
happily together when Stacey mysteriously disappears. Greg
takes on many dangerous tasks to save her, despite his efforts he
never gets his wife back. Stacey ran off with a mysterious older
man named Howard, and they need Greg out of the picture. In
the end it will be revealed that Greg was an abusive partner,
which is why Stacey ran away.

3. Narrative overview
• The purpose of the script I’m going to produce is to entertain and it’s fictional.
• It would be a mystery film and would be shot in a minimalistic way, to make it seem
more raw and realistic.
• There have been films which are similar to my idea in the past that have done very
well, for example:
Gone Girl

Total grossed:
$369.3 million
Although my idea is similar there hasn’t been a massive
movie like Gone Girl for a few years. Showing that it’s a
genre that does well, despite this there is currently a
gap in the market.

4. Targeting the audience
• The primary target demographic for my idea would be male
teenagers/ young adults(13-35), because the characters will
be young and relatable. Teenage female s would also be
marketed towards although, Males would be the Primary
audience because the protagonist is a male so it would appeal
to them more.
• The secondary target demographic would be adults that are
old enough to be parents of people roughly the age of the
characters.
• The psychographic that I’m trying to appeal to is the explorers,
they are typically younger people, (students), people who
seek discovery and adventure. This is because it’s very thrilling
and tense.
• The intention of my piece is to entertain the target
demographics, there isn’t really a specific message.

• Potential talent: I could picture Ansel
Elgort play this part because he’s young
enough and liked amongst the younger
audience. He's also been in some very
successful films, for example: Baby Driver,
the fault in our stars etc.

• Dramatic motivation: To kill her husband so she can
be with Howard without him getting in the way.
She also wants to escape her toxic relationship
with Greg
• Role in narrative: antagonist
• Potential talent: I could see Lily James playing this
part because she’s a well-known actor who’s
gained a lot of popularity recently. Especially with
younger audiences. She's been in some successful
movies recently such as: Baby driver, Mumma Mia
2 etc.

• Dramatic motivation: to kill Greg and save
Stacey from her marriage.
• Role in narrative: Antagonist
• Potential talent: I could picture Steve
Buscemi playing this character because he
looks like a typical villain. He’s also known
to play antagonists before for example he
played the main antagonist in Monsters inc.
