The document outlines the demolition work method for building OCR-001. It involves 6 main steps: 1) demolition of the ramp, 2) demolition of the ceiling, 3) demolition of the 1st floor balcony, 4) demolition of the stair, 5) dismantling the scaffolding, and 6) disposal of debris. Various tools such as jackhammers, concrete cutters, pry bars and hands will be used to demolish different structures safely and according to proper procedures. The work will be carried out in segments and with measures to control dust and protect surrounding areas.
2. This Construction Method Statement covers all activities associated with Demolition work in area 53 with building code 341-
OCR-001 OSBL specifically the balcony area including extended ancillary areas and provides a problem statement or
description of the work.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of demolition works
includes the following:
Site Preparation
Install Scaffolding
Demolition of Ramp
Demolition of Ceilling
Demolition of Balcony 1st Floor
Demolition of Stair
Dismantling the Scaffold and
propping structure.
Disposal
4. Site Preparation
Identify the site location, neighborhood conditions, adjoining buildings, land slope and retaining walls.
Identify special site restrictions such as designated planned areas, special restrictions on operating times, noise and
vibration restrictions and others.
Verification of building dimensions, such as overall building height, inter-storey height and building footprint.
Identify the building/structure to be demolished. make several segments to know which one is prioritized for demolition,
with the order of segment 1 being demolished first followed by segment 2.
METHODE OF EXECUTION
5. Site Preparation
• Verify all underground and overhead utilities.
• Temporary utility arrangements for project activities, such as supply of water supplies to minimize dust, etc.
• Moving Air-condtional to safe place
METHODE OF EXECUTION
6. Site Preparation
Identify factors that may affect the Demolition schedule, such as operational restrictions imposed by regulations and
anticipated weather conditions.

pedestrian protection.
Requirements for scaffolding, asiba,
and double-layered work platforms
to hold demolition debris,
depending on the method used and
environmental conditions.
Temporary support and cross
structure (bracing) for each
structure.
Make temporary acces door for
people's access in and out.
The number and size of debris
wrappers depends on the volume
level of the debris, and the disposal
route.
Planning for window and door
covers to prevent dust and debris
from entering the room.
METHODE OF EXECUTION
8. Site Preparation
Submit scaffolding layout drawings and details to be approved by authorities / consultant.
Ensure that the scaffolding to be used is fit for purpose. Inspect the scaffolding for damage. Any items deemed to be
damages shall not be used.
Do not start the erection of scaffolding / form-work until approval to proceed has been received from the appropriate
authorities.
Install asiba right below the area that will be demolished which is useful for holding the former demolition that falls down
can be accommodated in the asiba area.
Review the project specification to ensure that the back propping has been undertaken correctly.
METHODE OF EXECUTION
9. STEP #1 DEMOLOTION OF RAMP
Before installing scaffolding in the front area, the ramp slope must be demolished first, to support the surface to be flat when
installing scaffolding.
For concrete demolish work other than slabs, namely ramp. using a jack hammer tool. In accordance with its function this
tool is often used in various construction projects which are generally used for the destruction and demolition of foundation
structures. And also often used in excavation and mining. Using a jack hammer machine will save more time and be more
efficient.
METHODE OF EXECUTION
10. STEP #2 DEMOLOTION OF CEILING
After the ramp has been
dismantled, the next step is to
install scaffolding on the leveled
area.
The ceiling can be removed
with a hammer, a pry bar and
one's hands. One must watch
out for any plumbing, heating
or electrical lines.
Check whether there is an
electrical installation or not, if
there is first turn off the power
source, then dismantle the
electrical installation and store
it in a safe place.
If the area is free from electrical
installations, then the next step
can be continued by
dismantling the roof from the
front to the back and so on.
make a demolition parimeter
per 1 m2. repeat the next step.
METHODE OF EXECUTION
11. STEP #3 DEMOLOTION OF BALCONY 1st FLOOR
Reinforced concrete balcony shall be demolished by gradually breaking away the concrete. The reinforcement shall remain
and be cut off after the concrete is broken away. Demolition by cutting is suitable for work that requires accuracy and
tolerance of noise and vibration. Concrete or other building parts are divided into segments to facilitate demolition.
METHODE OF EXECUTION
Segmen 1 Demolih with concrete cutter
Unlike crushing tools such as hammers and jack hammers,
this cutting tool will make concrete that is not cut will be
maintained and not damaged. This cutting tool itself is now
equipped with a water tank, this serves to reduce dust
flying during the cutting process as well as a medium for
cooling the engine. and also for more precise cutting and
avoiding concrete that will not be cut.
Segmen 2 Demolish with jack hammer
For concrete demolish work other than slabs, namely
columns and beams. using a jack hammer tool. In
accordance with its function this tool is often used in
various construction projects which are generally used for
the destruction and demolition of foundation structures.
And also often used in excavation and mining. Using a jack
hammer machine will save more time and be more efficient.
12. STEP #4 DEMOLOTION OF STAIR
In general, the concrete demolition process can be done using concrete hammers and jack hammers, although some use
concrete saws to cut the reinforcing bars that are still embedded.
Try not to make the demolition work field too large. For example, when you have successfully demolished a 1 m2 concrete
field, you can move to the next field with the same area. Its function, in addition to making the work process easier, the
risk of harm caused can also be minimized.
Then, the edges of the concrete structure that are in direct contact with the neighboring structure must be done at the
final stage. This is the stage that must be done carefully.
Preceded by lowering the u-head at the center of the span or the area of greatest moment towards the edge, to avoid a
sudden drop.
Followed by dismantling the scaffolding frame.
Next, remove the join pin and cross brace
METHODE OF EXECUTION
STEP #5 DISMANTLING THE SCAFFOLDING
STEP #6 DISPOSAL
First, prepare transport vehicles such as pick-up or dump truck as a means of transporting demolition materials.
After the debris material is collected, immediately move it into a pick-up truck or dump truck.
Once all the debris has been loaded into the hauler and it has been confirmed that there are no hazardous objects on site,
the material is ready to be sent to the disposal site. repeat the above steps if the material being transported is large.
