This document describes three methods for purifying water: reverse osmosis, which uses a membrane to filter out pollutants; distillation, which boils water to kill bacteria and collects the evaporated water vapor, leaving minerals behind; and evaporation, where water naturally evaporates and condenses, leaving pollutants behind without boiling.

Reverse Osmosis: Water is run through a membrane with
holes too small for most pollutants to pass through

Distillation: Water is boiled, killing bacteria, and then
the minerals are left behind as it evaporates. The water vapour
is collected and condensed.

5. 3) Evaporation
Evaporation: When water evaporates it leaves most
pollutants behind. The water vapour can be condensed and
collected. (Boiling is not involved only natural evaporation is
happening in this process)
