Rickey L. Stamm
Senior Master Sergeant, Ohio Air National Guard
AFSC: 1C571 – Command and Control Battle Management Operations, Instructor Electronic Protection Technician
PROFILE: As a Captain with a Top Secret clearance, I possess 9 years of experience as an F-111 Instructor Weapon
Systems Officer with emphasis on the tactical employment of a fighter-bomber and leadership in various facets of aviation
operations/management and wartime mission planning/logistics. In January 1990, I was deemed surplus to the unit due
to the 1990 reduction in forces. After a fifteen-year break in service, I enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard—in
reaction to September 11th
, 2001—and have gained 11 years’ experience as a Ground Theater Air Control System
(GTACS) Technician with expertise in battle staff coordination, electronic warfare, mission planning, weapons control
and flight leadership. In the corporate world, I possess 32+ years’ experience in Information Systems currently supporting
efforts to equip the Warfighter with current and future weapon systems developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory.
QUALIFICATION SUMMARY: My aviation background adds valuable depth to the unit’s Weapons and Tactics
section. As a 123d
Air Control Squadron (123ACS) member I am well acquainted with the GTACS concept of operations
and have proven my ability to achieve and my dedication to our mission. As Flight Superintendent of Bravo Flight, I
concentrate on the career/training progression and the mission effectiveness of my Airmen. When not on the training
schedule, I apply my past experience as an officer and an aviator to the needs of the 123ACS by volunteering for various
Operations duties and mentoring Airmen through mission qualification academics. I returned from two very rewarding
tours in the Middle East for which I received the Meritorious Service Medal (oak leaf cluster), two awards and a letter of
recommendation from the Air Expeditionary Force Commander. A letter of recommendation from the Air Force Research
Laboratory emphasizes my endeavor for continual improvement no matter what the task. As portrayed herein, I always
strive to achieve beyond my peers whether as a student, an instructor, an officer or an NCO.
