COMMAND CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT DAVID A O'HARA
Chief Master Sergeant David A. O'Hara is the Command
Chief Master Sergeant for the 48 Fighter Wing, Royal Air
Force Lakenheath, England. As the wing's Senior Enlisted
Leader, Chief O’Hara serves as the primary advisor to the
commander on matters concerning the mission effectiveness,
readiness, training, health, welfare and morale of more than
5,000 active duty military members and 2,000 British and U.S.
civilians.
Chief O'Hara entered the Air Force in August 1987 and has
served in both Maintenance and Operations Groups. His
background includes various duties in F-4, B-1, KC-135, C-9,
C-130, C-141, KC-10, C-5 and C-17 aircraft maintenance. He
is also an Evaluator Flight Engineer with more than 11 years
operational experience in the C-5 Galaxy. His assignments
include bases in Kansas, Delaware, California, North Dakota
and New Jersey as well as 2 assignments overseas. He has
deployed numerous times in support of Operations
SOUTHERN WATCH, NORTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW
DAWN, and most recently in Southwest Asia as the 380th EOG Superintendent leading over 1,100
Airmen and 13 Airframes across 35 AFSCs in 5 locations.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 621st
Contingency Response Wing, headquartered at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.
