Role:
• Working for ISO 50001 certification and implementation of Energy Saving Projects; ensuring finalization and compilation for
display in Director Report every year
• Preparing various forms for submission to Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Delhi and Gujarat Energy Development
Association (GEDA) required under PERFORM ACHIEVE and TRADE (PAT) scheme; implementing energy saving proposals
which are made after the Energy Audit of the complex in every three years. Currently involved in preparation of ISO 50001
documents as well

• Executed energy audit for the complete 10 MMTPA Essar Steel, Hazira Complex along with M/s CII in 2013 and with M/s M
N Dastur – M/s POWERGRID team in 2015
• Worked on the commissioning and completion of first of its kind project - Waste heat recovery from HBI MIDREX plant flue
gases to produce 19 MW Power, and assisted engineers on-site

• Initiated and implemented “In-house energy monitoring system” for whole of Essar Steel’s Integrated Steel plant at Hazira,
Initiated and implemented 1 TPD capacity –Kitchen Waste based biogas plant at Essar Steel, Hazira. Numerous other self
initiated energy saving initiatives like LED installations, VFD installation options and process optimisation projects.
