The UAE is celebrating 2019 as the Year of Tolerance. Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid outlined 7 pillars of tolerance that include promoting tolerance in communities, education, workplaces, culture, legislation, and media. The Supreme National Committee for Tolerance, chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will work to establish the UAE as a global model of tolerance and spread this model internationally through various projects and initiatives.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
• a freedom fighter for India.
• He was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar.
• Gandhiji believed that we should practice religious tolerance for
peace & harmony.
• Respect of rights, non-discrimination, social-equality, non-violence,
social service, cooperation, lawfulness are some of the associated
values related to justice.

8. Personalities helping to reduce inequalities:

• Supreme National Committee for tolerance has been
established in UAE by directives of president.
• The committee ensures its seven pillars to be applied across
programmes on local, regional & global levels.
