attitude throughoutinordertolearnthe correct techniqueswhenprojectingmyvoice.
Duringtoday’srehearsal we beganbyall standingina line tryingtoprojectour voicesasmuch as
possible whendeliveringaline of ourchoice from the Grease script.We tookit inturns to all saya
line,we thenreflectedonthistoensure thatwe knew specificallywhatwe neededtodoto make
improvementsnexttime we deliveredaline.Ithenperformedmyline withmore powerfrommy
abdominal musclesbypullingthemintoensure Iprojectedmyvoice furtherthanpreviously.I did
thisto ensure Iwasn’tshoutingmyline andalsoprojectcorrectlyto avoidinjuringthe vocal cords.
Once improvementshadstartedtobe made we changedthe exercise bynow walkingaroundthe
space while changingdirectionsandcontinuingtotake it in turnsto deliverthe line. Thismade it
similartothe performance asthere will be more thanone art form to thinkabout,walkingaround
the space while changingdirectionmakesitmore realisticas whenperformingsongs,dialogueand
dance we will needtobe thinkingaboutotherartforms too.
My strengthsduringthisrehearsal wasimprovingmyprojectionasIfeel thisrehearsal gave me the
knowledge tobe able toprojectmyvoice furtherwhenperformingwhichensuresthatthe audience
can clearlyhearthe dialogue beingdelivered.
I still believeIneedtocontinue workingonmyprojectionwhendeliveringlinestoensure thatI am
constantlybeingable toprojectmylinesthroughoutthe entiretyof ourGrease performance.Iwill
alsocontinue topractice these vocal techniquesathome toensure significantprogressisbeingseen
withinmyperformance.
