Training
Industrial training in ‘POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD.’ for 6 weeks in 2011.
Description: Basic knowledge about some of the major components of Gas Insulated
substation such as Circuit breakers, Current and voltage measuring devices.
Academic Projects
Topic: Design & Testing of Dual Ultra wideband low noise front end Amplifier(1-20GHz).
Duration: Jan-Sept 2016
Description: This is designed for Ultra Wideband (1GHz-20GHz) and uses various
components like Filter, Switch, cascading of various amplifiers to obtain desired gain
within the required Ultra Wideband. Equalizers and Thermopad are also used to counter
the non-linearity of the Amplifier. The Gain obtained is 22 1 dB with a Noise Figure and
Isolation better than 10dB and 70dB respectively. DC Board is designed in eagle by using
IC’s with control logic, regulations and proper amplifier biasing.

2. Topic: Design Assembly & Testing of 4 Channel IF Receiver (S-band).
Duration: Jun 2014-Dec 2015
Description: A single mixer down conversion is used and with the help of power divider it
is distributed in four channels. Amplifying sections, digital attenuator and phase shifter is
provided for better control of matching between channels. Gain matching ( 0.5dB) and
phase matching ( 5 ) are achieved with an Image Rejection of 60dB.
Topic: Design & Testing of compact and wideband Rat Race Coupler.
Duration: July 2014-April 2015(M.Tech)
Description: It produces sum and differences of two input powers with 180 degree phase
shift and thus can have applications in Power divider/ combiners, Mixers, Amplifiers
Modulator and demodulators, Feed network of antenna array, etc. The Isolation (>25dB)
is excellent with FBW >100% & Return loss (>15dB) has FBW of 82%.
Topic: Design of a circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna (in HFSS) and a 4*1
antenna array.
Duration: May 2014-June 2014(M.Tech)
Description: It produces a broadside radiation pattern with a directivity of 7dB impedence
bandwidth of 5% and can be used in mobile/satellite applications. The 4*1 array increases
the directivity up to 12dB.
Topic: Design of a 4 pole Band pass chebyshev filter using coupled line resonators.
Duration: Feb 2014-Apr 2014(M.Tech)
Description: It passes a band of frequencies centered around 10GHz while sharply
rejecting higher as well as lower frequencies band. It’s application is in Transmitter and
Receiver systems for wireless/satellite applications.
Topic: Design of Mixer using 180 degree phase shifter.
Duration: Aug 2011-April 2012(B.Tech)
Description: It produces differences of two frequencies and also rejects image frequency
with a conversion loss of 7.46dB.It’s application involves RF Front end design systems for
producing Intermediate frequency, As a Modulator etc.
