Responsibilities
1. Lead production discipline engineering support for piping fabrication. Understand
the full scope of work, contract type and milestone schedules.
2. Co-ordinate requirements for construction engineering and technical support with
the engineering and piping design and layout teams and the MCS group from
design stage to work pack compilation and execution.
3. 3. Review designs and supervise onsite commissioning activities. Prepare and
maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and
checklists. Supervise operational reviews in association with functional staff.
4. Take part in design and constructability reviews to ensure adequate planning,
material identification and input at design stage through to hook up.
5. Solve problems and initiate site queries to ensure fabrication productivity including
onshore pre commissioning, and mechanical completion hook up.
6. Co-ordinate material issue, report fabrication progress and issue notices for critical
actions. Review scope changes, additional works or reworks and initiate revision
orders / change orders.
7. Review project scope of work and Task Listing, schedules, specifications and
understand the requirements and deliverables.
8. Review design model / drawings for constructability and identify any special items
/ subcontract requirements.
9. Raises site queries , technical queries to implement revisions to assist build
sequencing and improve productivity.-
10.Review vendor data for interdisciplinary interfaces as required.
11.Monitor work pack issue and advises priorities to the lead designer and discipline
manager based on material availability and scheduled deliveries etc.
12.Raise Site Queries to utilize available material (substitutions) or deviations as
required.
13.Prepare production procedures. Attend production meetings and report concerns.
Monitor the scope changes and issue of revision orders.
14.Prepare and issues activity notice to the client / all concerned people. Report
weekly fabrication progress and monitors production man-hours and productivity.
15.Review 4 week look ahead plans and identify the constraints (material / drawings).
16.Co-ordinate with construction engineer to ensure procedures are issued timely / all
parties understand any change.
17.Preparation of piping master punch lists and loads out sent loose items. Track
record of closing the punch list

While working as a Site Superintendent Construction sites, I attended a trade
school to become certified as a piping engineer. My training and job
experience qualify me for this job. I am familiar with the different types of
piping. I have the skills to measure the piping, cut it to size and to make
installations.
I have I also have the skills to Fabrication, erection, testing, pre
commissioning, commissioning, mechanical completion including start up. I
also have experience making repairs and updating existing piping facilities.
I have the ability to travel to different job sites and to work the hours required
to meet deadlines. I have the physical strength and stamina to perform the
duties associated with this position and I always pay close attention to details
to avoid making mistakes. I have excellent communication skills, the ability to
