Chhattisgarh has abundant natural resources and biodiversity that support vibrant eco-tourism. The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board aims to promote these attractions internationally and develop Chhattisgarh as India's largest eco-tourism hub. Their plans include enhancing local community participation to counter Naxalism, showcasing the region's culture and attractions, and increasing tourist footfall from 1.5 million in 2012 to 3 million by 2015. The board has received 113.5 crores in funding from the Indian government to develop destinations like Gangrel Dam and circuits like Sirpur-Kodar-Raipur-Tandula, build convention centers, and create light and sound shows.
