This is an animal book made by my little brother. Hear from his own words: all slides contain photos and it's made for kids of 1 to 5 years old,these are interesting slides and you enjoy.

1. DOG 1) A dog is a domestic animal which is tamed by human
being and is the most common pet of man.
2) The loyalty of dog makes it a “man’s best friend”.
3) They are playful, friendly and loyal to humans and they
listen and understand them.
4) They have four legs and one tail and they produce a
“bark”, “woof” and “sniff” sound.
5) They can smell and hear better than humans however the
can’t see colours as they are colour blind.
6) Dogs eat both meat and also other food items; hence the
are called as “omnivores”.
7) The female dogs are called as “bitch”; they give birth to
their offspring called as “puppies”.
8) On an average, a female dog can give birth to 3-6 puppie
at a time.
8) The average life of a dog is 10 to 13 years.
9) A group of three or more dogs is called as “pack”.
10) Approximately there are 800 breeds of dogs in the world

2. TURTLE 1) Turtles are the reptiles belonging to the order of
“Testudines” vertebrates spread across the aquatic bodies of
every continent except Antarctica.
2) They are the most common species found in the ocean after
fish.
3) There are more than 300 species of turtles including groups
of tortoises and terrapins varying in size, shape and colour.
4) Lifespan of average turtle is 80 years. Certain species can live
more than 110 years.
5) Average length lies between 6 cm - 2.1 m and weighs
between 10 kg - 700 kg.
6) Turtles would dig a hole on land (beaches across the ocean)
for laying the eggs and then cover it with sand for protection.
7) Turtles are cold blooded animal hence they prefer tropical
and subtropical beaches around the globe for nesting.
8) Female turtles lay almost 60-190 eggs at a time.
9) Turtles shell generally acts as a protecting shield for many
vital organs and saves them from numerous predators.
10) Majority of turtles are omnivorous in nature however
depending on the type of species some can be herbivorous and
carnivorous too.

3. PNGUIN 1) Penguins are the sea-birds which live only in the cold
areas and in countries of Southern Hemisphere.
2) Penguins are mainly found in the regions of Antarctica,
New Zealand, South Australia and parts of South America.
3) Penguins have a white belly with black back and have
black wings as well as portion of their head and beak is also
black.
4) The combination of white and black colours on penguins
is used as a camouflage which safeguards them from
attackers.
5) Penguins cannot fly in the air however they use their
wings to swim extremely fast underwater.
6) Penguins eat krill, small fishes, squids and other animals
of the sea whichever they could get.
7) Penguins swallow their food and they lack sense of taste
as they do not have genes which sense taste.
8) Each penguin makes a unique voice and it is used to
recognise each other.
9) Penguins lay their eggs on land or ice to give birth to
their offspring.
10) There are 15 to 20 species of penguins which are known
to the world.

4. SHEEP 1) Sheep are the mammals belonging to the ‘Ovis Aries’ category
of species with their presence across the globe.
2) They are one of the most resourceful mammals on the earth,
found across forests and mountainous regions of Asia, Europe
and America.
3) Sheep were one of the earliest mammals raised by humans for
varieties of the purposes like wool, meat and milk.
4) Sheep are generally social in nature and form a group or flock
for grazing purpose.
5) Average height of sheep could be around 4 feet and can
weigh between 40 to 160 kg.
6) The lifespan of sheep is around 10-12 years.
7) Domestic sheep are found in wide range of colours from white
to chocolate brown including the pigmented white.
8) Female sheep, known as ewes, would mate with rams (male
sheep) and generally give birth to 1 to 3 lambs at a time.
9) Gestation period of Ewes is for 5 months and sometimes they
can give birth to twins also.
10) Sheep have terrific sense of smell, hearing, and colour vision
and an excellent memory which help them to recognize humans
and other animals.

5. DUCK
The duck is a bird which normally
found in the place where there is
water like pond, streams, lake, river
etc. Ducks have shorter neck and
wings. They have stout body. The
sound of duck is called quacking . The
duck loves water. It has waterproof
feathers. It has
webbed feet which are designed for
swimming. The life span of a duck is
2-12 years depend upon species.
Female duck is called hen and male
duck is called drake . It provides us
eggs and meat to eat. The ducks have
very good vision and they can see in
colour.

6. ZEBRA
1) Zebras are one of the most peculiar species due to the
presence of black and white stripes on their back.
2) They are typically found in Savannahs, tree less
grasslands, scrublands, mountains and coastal hilly areas.
3) Zebras are social animal and they prefer to live in small
family groups.
4) Globally there are 3 species of zebras, i.e. Plain Zebras,
Grevy’s Zebra, and Mountain Zebra.
5) Lifespan of Zebra varies between 20 to 30 years.
6) Average height of Zebra lies between 3.5-5 ft and can
weigh up to 460 kg.
7) Female zebras give birth to one offspring at a time and
gestation period lies between 12 to 13 months.
8) Baby Zebras or foals are born with stripes which are
mostly brown and white in colour at the time of birth.
9) Foals weigh up to 70 pounds at the time of birth and
begin grazing in one week.
10) Foals take 7 to 16 months of time to become grown up
adults.

7. FISH
1) There are more than 20000 species of fish including groups
of Jawless fish, bony fish and sharks with varying size, shape
and colours.
2) Lifespan of average fish is 20 years. Wels catfish has longest
life span of 60 years and weight is around 170 kg.
3) Fish prefer to be in groups known as shoal. A shoal can
contain millions of fish.
4) The process in which group of fish are swimming in the
same direction is known as schooling.
5) Fishes form large number of groups and reproduce by
releasing large quantities of eggs and sperm (females and
males) in to the water and would ensure the fertilization of
eggs.
6) There are few species like sharks which develop their eggs
internally and release the eggs only after the fertilization
which would further gets hatched to the larvae.
7) Fish can lay thousands of eggs at a time however very few
would reach to maturity.
8) Fishes use different variety of noises for communication.
They make very low pitch sounds and also use body parts like
muscle vibration and bladder.
9) Fishes are mostly carnivorous, eating insects and other
small fishes, only few of the species are herbivorous and their
diet includes weeds and sea plants.
10) Fishes play a very important role in various cultures. They
have the symbolic meaning in different religions and are
worshiped as deities.

8. CAT
1) Cat is a one of the popular pet animals which is tamed by
human since long time.
2) They are friendly and playful with people especially with
children.
3) Cats have four legs and one tail and they produce a “meow”,
“purr” and “hiss” sound.
4) They can see and hear better than humans and they are able to
see in night also.
5) Cat is a carnivore animal which means it is a flesh-eating
animal.
6) The average life of a cat is 10 years to 12.5 years.
7) A male cat is called as Tomcat and a female cat is called as
Molly or Queen.
8) A female cat gives birth to its offspring which are called as
“Kittens”.
9) On an average, a cat gives birth to 3 to 6 kittens at a time.
10) There are 500 breeds of cats which are known to the world.

9. MONKY
The 'monkey' is a very intelligent creature.
It is a four-legged animal with four legs, two
eyes, two ears, and a long tail.
Monkeys are very agile.
Monkeys can easily jump from one branch to
another on the tree.
The monkey has a total of 32 teeth.
The monkey likes to eat "bananas".
There are 260 living species of monkeys all over
the world.
98 percent of the DNA of monkeys and humans
are matched.
The first monkey sent into space was named
'Albert II ".
World Monkey Day is celebrated every year on 14
December.

10. SQIREL
Squirrel is a very beautiful and a tiny animal.
All people like squirrels mainly because of its
cuteness. Squirrels like to climb on trees, so we
can see them mainly on the top of trees. His
tail looked like a question mark because of its
bent shape. The merry and lively squirrel loved
to play with the poet and her friends.
Whenever they ran around his tree, he would
run to the other side of the tree. I also like
squirrels very much. Their main food are fruits
and nuts which he get from trees.

11. FOX
1) Fox is a smallest member of the dog family however it
has many similarities with cat.
2) Foxes are found in all continents of the world except
Antarctica.
3) Fox is a small animal slightly bigger than a cat or a
medium sized dog.
4) Fox’s skin is generally reddish in colour but some foxes
have brown skin.
5) Fox’s ears and front of the legs are black in colour, throat
and belly looks white or grey.
6) Fox is an omnivorous animal, it means it is a flesh eating
as well as vegetable and fruit eating animal.
7) Fox also hunts small rats, mice, small animals and other
rodents.
8) They also eat grasshoppers, bird eggs, fruits and
vegetables, depending upon the types of food available.
9) There are around 37 species of foxes living in this world.
10) When foxes are kept in zoo, they live up to 14 years
however in jungle they live only up to 2 years.

12. ELEPHENT
The elephant is the largest land-dwelling mammal.
There are two types of elephants; African and Asian
elephants.
African elephants are taller and larger than the Asian ones.
Asian elephants do not have tusks, as compared to their
African relatives.
Elephants are one of the most intelligent land-dwelling
mammals of the animal kingdom.
Elephants herds always have an Alpha female.
All females and herds live in a single herd while the males
live in isolation.
Calves are born every four years.
Female elephants are pregnant for 22 months before giving
birth.
Elephants need huge landmasses to live on and can feed up
to 18 hours a day.

13. SEA TURTLE
The Turtle is a creature living on both water and
land.
The turtle has four legs and a long neck.
The body of a turtle is covered with armor.
This armor is hard as stone.
Turtles move very slowly.
They run at a speed of 0.25 km per hour.
The average lifespan of a turtle is about 150
years.
There are about 225 species of turtles worldwide.
Turtles are mostly found in rivers and ponds.

14. COW The cow is a domestic animal which is considered useful
to mankind.
It is used as livestock mainly for providing various dairy
products like milk, ghee and cheese.
It is found in various colours, shapes and sizes around the
world.
In India, the cow is regarded as a sacred animal by Hindus
and worshipped by them from ancient times.
It has two ears and eyes each, one big nose, two sharp
horns, a long tail and four limbs.
It eats fresh grass, husk, grain and vegetables.
Cow’s milk is very nutritious and beneficial for human
consumption.
Drinking cow milk regularly sharpens our brain and
increases immunity power.
Farmers often use a male cow known as an ox to plough
the fields and draw carts.
The cow dung is used by people as fuel and fertilizer for
plants and for repelling insects.

15. JELLYFISH
Jellyfish live in the sea and are found in all
oceans.
Some jellyfish live in fresh water.
Jellyfish look a little like umbrellas.
Jellyfish can be large and brightly colored.
They can often be transparent (see-through) or
translucent (semi-translucent).
Some can be very hard to see, nearly invisible
to the human eye.
