I worked on the MTS software for data acquisition and simulation for driver assistance systems.
Tools Used: CAN 11 bit, MTS.
Bluetooth:
2. I worked in the DataLogger Team Project. I’m currently working on Gen2.5 version of the
DataLogger, in this I have to develop test methods and models to be able to test new safety critical
components and features and analyzing data to troubleshoot issues.
Communication related like Bluetooth using various tools and automotive protocols like CAN,
VPW, GMLAN and PWM) of which I majorly work on CAN 11 bit.
Vehicle Speed event analysis:
Another project I’m also working on is related to Vehicle Speed event analysis; in here I have to
validate vehicles speed in different ranges by writing test cases. Capture and analyze data to
troubleshoot issues
Tools Used: Configuration Tool, Diagnostic Tool, RegressionTest Tool, Tera Term.
Teaching Assistant: [September 2014 to December 2014]
Worked as a Teaching Assistant in Dept. of Electrical Engineering where I had to Tutor for the course
Mathematical methods for Electrical and Computer Engineers.
I had to review project reports of the students for helping them solve problems in linear systems and
signals and implement them using MATLAB which involves control systems and signal processing.
PROJECT WORK:
Graduate:
Vehicle safety restraint systems [September 2014 to December 2014]
o Worked on a project related to vehicle safety restraint systems, where I worked on multipoint
electromechanical sensing systems for front airbags.
o The specification of vehicle performance requirements which will lead to the elimination of
fatalities and reduce the severity of the injuries.
o Also, have analyzed the DFMEA for the airbag system and studied about the plant model,
hardware and the control unit.
Vehicle Electronics [January 2014 to March 2014]
o Worked on a project dealing with the Automotive Voltage Regulator where I had to create a
Simulink model for the engine, generator and the voltage regulator system.
o The project involved a 3-phase alternator stator winding controlled by a MIC which has to turn
on the rotor if the terminal voltage falls below a threshold voltage (14v) and should also indicate
any breakage in the 3 phase winding.
o The results were verified using MATLAB.
Robotic Manipulator (Advanced control theory) [January 2014 to March 2014]
o Worked on a project where I had to develop and model a control system for the regulation of
forces between a robotic manipulator and its target environment.
o The project involved calculation of the amount of force which has to be exerted by the
manipulator on the target such that the target does not face damage and the force is sufficient
enough for operation.
o The results were verified using MATLAB.
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing [September 2014 to December 2014]
o OFDM is a well-known multi-carrier modulation scheme.
o Worked on how the data stream is split into lower bit streams and transmitted through the
channel to the receiver. Also, studied about the BER vs SNR plot for the transmitted and the
received data.
o Used Matlab and Simulink to achieve my goals.
3. Embedded Based Vehicle Speed Control System Using Wireless Technology (technical paper) [Jan 2015]
o The main motto of this Technical Paper was to study the collaboration of the global positioning system
with embedded wireless systems.
o Studied the working of the system which consists of the hardware and the software system.
o Learnt how the Vehicle Speed control system is mainly designed to avoid accidents and to alert driver
about the over speeding limits of the vehicle and drive safely.
Undergraduate:
Planning and Design of STM-16 OFC lines, configuration of E1’s, Bandwidth and BER measurements
at BSNL. [December 2012 to April 2013]
o Worked on a project dealing with Configuration of 155 Mbps bandwidth between two stations
using STM- 16 (SDH) systems along with protection path and testing with BER meter.
o Worked with fusion splicers to rectify rat bites in the path of transmission.
Worked as an intern on “Development of PLC application logic for substation automation of DSP
(Durgapur steel plant)” at ECIL. [July 2012 to August 2012]
o I learned PLC application logic and its development to automatically operate electric feeders and
monitored communication between the plant and the system.
o Protocol used: Modbus Serial RS232 to monitor electrical parameters such as phase to phase
voltage, power factor, frequency, current, apparent power and cumulative energy.
