3. Day 1 of Lesson
On the first day the students will research recycling.
They can use books, magazines, newspapers and the
internet.
They will have until the following day to decide what
product they want to make.
4. Day 2 of Lesson
They will write in their journals and collect photos to be
used in their powerpoint.
This will be done individually so that I have some
individual work to grade as well as the final group project.
5. Day 3 of Lesson
The students will come together and put all of their
individual work together into their powerpoint.
By the end of the day each group will have a completed
powerpoint ready for the following days presentations.
6. Presentation Day
Each group will be given a chance to present their final
work.
Each student will be required to present at least one of
the powerpoint slides in order to get the participation
credit for the group work.
7. Differentiation
ELL: Students will be integrated into groups with
students who are strong in the subject and can assist
them.
High Achieving: They will be made group leaders to help
facilitate the learning amongst their peers.

disabilities will be given alternate assignments or grading
rubrics depending on individual need.

The beginnings of powerpoint.
A positive group learning experience.
11. Conclusion
This project would require a lot of help from the teacher
with the powerpoint aspect.
A good spring activity toward the end of the year when
the instructor knows the students better.
Recyclables can be collected throughout the school year
and saved for this assignment and other similar
assignments.
