Two different LANs connected with each other through
bridge
Step 1:
In LAN one: Add a generic switch and ten PCs and arrange them as shown in image.
Step 2:
Connect the devices as shown in image. Use appropriate connection type for each link.
Step 3:
In LAN two: Add three generic HUBs. Total no of PCs are ten.
Step 4:
1st HUB connect with four PCs, 2nd HUB connect with four PCs, 3rd HUB connect with two PCs.
Step 5:
Each HUB in LAN two connect with a generic switch. Connect the devices as shown in image.
Use appropriate connection type for each link.
Step 6:
Connect LAN one with LAN two with the help of bridge.
Step 7:
Set the IP addresses and subnet mask for the PCs as follows:

Step 8:
If all connections and addressing are correct, the link lights should be green .if not, troubleshoot
the cabling type, connections and addressing.
Step 9:
Working of LAN one:
10 PCs connect with switch. Switch filter message and send it to its destination
address. If PC2 send message to PC8. Then 1st message send to switch. Switch find destination
address then send it to PC8.
Working of LAN two:
Total no of PCs are 10. Four PCs are connected with HUB0, four PCs are connected
with HUB1, two PCs are connected with HUB2. HUB0, HUB1, HUB2 are connected with a generic
switch. In HUB message not filter. So the message send to all PCs.
If PC7 send message to PC19.so both LANs are connected with bridge. 1st PC7 send
message. It received by switch. Switch filter message and send it to bridge. Bridge also filter.
And message send to switch. Switch again filter message and switch send message to HUB1.
HUB1 not filter message and send to all PCs connected with HUB1.
