9. THE TURN
• The athlete’s body weight pivots around the
left foot as the athletes rotates on the balls
of the feet toward the direction of the throw.
• The discus trails behind the body.
• The athlete runs across the ring with the legs
rotating ahead of the shoulders and discus
arm.
• Places the both feet in the throwing stance as
quickly as possible.
