Preliminary - secondary school website research.

2. I liked a few things on the websites that I have researched for example, on the St
Aloysius’ college secondary school the layout of the schools website has been
made very organized. This has helped me decide that on my school website I am
going to be laying out a certain amount of information so that it is not too empty
or too boring for the audience.
The layout on the last website i looked at was very good because the information was
set out clear and understandable whilst reading it. For my website i want to do
something similar so that readers on the website do not get confused and wonder
where to start reading on the homepage then decide to give up.

3. I did not like the idea of some websites not having
any pictures or colours as this would not attract
anyone and would make it very fun boring!! As a
result, i am going to make sure that my secondary
school website is going to show various amounts of
images and a constant colour range so that people
would want to go through the whole of the website.

4. The navigation bars on some of the home pages have been done very
well, for example having the navigation across the top and if you hover
over them, some options come up that are sections in depth of certain
areas of subjects.

5. Overall, i have decided that i need to make my school logo very clear and visible on the
front page as some of them have been made small and unclear to even read. A good
logo size is attractive as you know what school you are looking at.
