7 pointers every Communication testing & repairing companies should
have to keep them apart from the rest.
Ever since the invention of telephone we all have witness a revolution in communication. And
with the advancement of technology it has only gone better and better. Just a good to know
information, it all started way back on March 10, 1876 when Alexander Graham Bell and Watson
made first successful bi-directional transmission of clear speech in which Bell spoke into the
device, “Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.” and Watson answered.
With the inception of internet and the advent of television, fax, data communication and modern
devices like mobile phones, tablets, dongles etc. it has taken the telecommunication industry into
the next level with three fold growth. Earlier the technologies were used by only a few segment
of the population as it was very expensive. But now with the advancement of technology it has
reached to almost every household. Which was once a status quo has now become a necessity.
With the increasing numbers of electronics & telecommunication and IT industries penetrating
into the market, simultaneously it has created a great opportunity for communication repairing
& testing companies as both complement each other. To leverage the opportunity and emerge as
a leader in communication repairing & testing, organizations should have seven vital points
discussed below:
1. Infrastructure – As we all know “A healthy mind lives in a healthy body”, so a proper infrastructure
in place for every organization is very important in order to deliver quality work and achieve
success. Infrastructure is the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities needed for
the daily operation of an organization. A good infrastructure boosts its employees and stimulates
growth whereas a poor infrastructure impedes growth. Testing & repairing is a skilled and
meticulous job so a proper infrastructure will help the employees to do their job effectively &
efficiently.
2. Quality Human Resources – Employees are the key assets for any organization, having said that
right people at right place is the gateway to success for any business. In communication repairing
and testing organizations different skill sets of employees are required, since the requirement is
diverse and dynamic. So quality manpower is very crucial to determine the organization’s long
term sustainability and also to emerge as a market leader. In short “Form is temporary but class
is permanent”.
3. Technologically advance – In this fast paced technology driven time, organizations should always
update itself to be in the competition. In communication testing and designing organizations the
entire ecosystem revolves around the technology, so it is of utmost importance for the
organizations to keep itself abrace with the latest trend and technologies emerging in this field as
it plays a critical role in business success.
4. Robust Business Process - Business process is a set of activities carried or completed to meet
organizational goals. A well-defined business process is very important in every organization to
meet its set targets. Communication repairing and testing companies have new projects and
challenges, so it has to implement or modify a business strategy which usually requires changes
in operations and people performing the work. So a robust business process is a must as it
increases & improves communication, control, consistency and operational efficiency which helps
in gaining competitive advantage.
5. 5S – In this era of cut throat competition it is very much essential to optimize the maximum
utilization of scare resources in order to get maximum quality output and stay ahead in the race.
Here comes the practice of 5S in place which helps organization to organize their work places in
a more effective and efficient manner by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining the
area and items, and sustaining the new order which in turns give better results. In communication
testing & repairing companies almost every project is unique & challenging, hence a new
workplace set up is required to handle. So 5S plays a vital role in successful project handling. In
nut shell organizations should “Always Say Yes to 5S”.
6. Just In Time (JIT) – As the proverb goes “A Stitch in time saves nine”. To be successful in any
business or field one should know the value of time. Doing things in time helps in gaining
reputation which helps in gaining more business and sustainability in the market. Communication
repairing & testing companies need to use many parts for its project implementation. Getting the
requirements on time and every time is very important and secondly the length and breadth of
projects are high, so completing it on time and delivering successfully is a daunting task. By
adapting the just in time (JIT) methodology organizations can increase efficiency, reduce response
time, improve its quality of work and on time delivery which will help in successful completion of
projects.
7. Rigid after support service – After service is an integral part of repairing & testing organization as
it greatly helps in building and continuing ongoing relationship with its clients. Repairing and
testing along with rigid after support completes the 360 degree cycle of services. It will ensure
customer satisfaction for the services provided and will help the organization grow because of
word of mouth marketing from its happy clients and chances of repetitive business is also high.-
“Live up to your customer not to leave”.
