This document provides instructions for using various features of a T48G phone including making calls, using speakerphone and headset, transferring calls, conferencing calls, muting calls, and accessing voicemail. Call History, Contacts, DND, Menu Buttons T48G Phone Guide
1. General Information:
Call History: This will allow you to look at all calls made, received,
and missed. You can scroll up and down with the arrows on the right.
Directory: Here you can add and search for contacts. Choosing the
setting option will allow you to create groups for your contacts.
DND (DO NOT DISTURB): Pressing this button will make a small red
symbol appear at the top of your screen, this means you can NOT
receive calls.
Menu: This button will allow you to access messages, status (info
on your phone), advanced settings, the basic tab (language, time,
date, display, sound, and bluetooth), and other features such as call
forward, call waiting, and auto answer.
DSS Key: This function will allow you to go from 11 to 30 available
buttons that we can program for you to be speed dial, BLF (busy lamp
field), etc.
Back: The back button will
allow you to return to
your last page.
Home: The Home button
will take you back to the
original start page.

2. Outgoing Calls:
Dial the number, no outside "9" digit is required.
Dial the area code as part of the ten digit phone number.
Dial long distant calls as 1 + area code + number
Dial international calls as 011 + country code + area code + number.
Speaker:
Make a call using speaker
Dial with handset in cradle, push green send button, speaker will
automatically be engaged. You may also hit your speaker button in
the bottom right corner and then dial.
Switch from handset to speaker
Press the SPEAKER button as indicated under speaker heading.
Answer a call on speaker
When phone is ringing, press answer, do not pick up handset.
Headset:
Make a call using headset
Headset must be plugged in to port on the back with the headset
icon. Turn the headset on, if charged, once you begin to dial, the
headset is automatically engaged.
Switch from handset to headset
Press the HEADSET button as
indicated under the headset
heading.
Answer a call on headset
When line is ringing/flashing,
with headset connected and on,
press answer.

3. Active Calls:
Muting a call
While on a call press the MUTE button as indicated here.
Put a call on hold
While on a call press the HOLD button on the screen.
Warm Transfer
While on a call, press the TRANSFER button
Dial the outgoing number or internal extension (ie. 201)
Then press OK.
Announce call
Press the TRANSFER button again. Call is transfered.
Blind Transfer
While on a call, press the TRANSFER button
Dial the outgoing number or internal extension
Then press the TRANSFER button again. Call is transfered.
Conferencing
While on a call, press the CONFERENCE button.
Dial the outgoing number or internal extension, press SEND.
Once the call is answered, press the CONFERENCE button again, call
is conferenced.
Message Button
Press the MESSAGE button to enter voicemail box, the passcode will be
1234. From external location,
dial your personal direct number
(DID) and follow the above
process.
Transfer Straight to Voicemail
While on a call, press the
TRANSFER button, Dial 8
followed by the extension of the
voicemail you would like to reach.
