1. Profiles of Service 2013
AIDS.
Her experiences in Africa contributed to her project
proposal for the Social Entrepreneurship/Leadership in
Public Service Moellership. The Moellership allowed her to
spend the summer of 2012 in Cambodia volunteering with
the NGO Cambodian Children Against Starvation and
Violence.
This year, Taylor has developed
an intern team for the Spiritual
Life Project and an interfaith
spring break service trip.
The communities she worked with
in Kenya and Cambodia inspired
her With Words room focusing on
“Land Rights and Urbanization,”
which showed in January 2013.
Prioritizing service and academics,
Taylor has maintained a 4.0 GPA,
majoring in Economics, Psychology and completing the
Leadership Studies Certificate.
Taylor is currently a Fulbright finalist and has
applied to graduate programs in Public Policy, aspiring to
contribute new ideas to the development field. She also
hopes to spend this summer working at another SeriousFun
Network camp, saying “for me, a life committed to service
happens at local, national and international levels.”

Taylor Adams first attended Camp Boggy Creek, a
SeriousFun Network camp, at the age of eight after battling
cancer for three years. She says, “I could not have known
that CBC would instill such a strong passion for service”.
Taylor served on the summer staff from 2009-2011
and at over 20 family weekends since 2009.
After graduating from A.W.
Dreyfoos School of the Arts in
2008, Taylor pursued fine arts at the
Parsons New School of Design in
Manhattan. She says, “I transferred
to FSU after a leadership program
at CBC inspired me to explore new
things outside of art.”
At Florida State University,
Taylor became a Florida State
Alternative Breaks site leader and
served as the Public Relations
Chair of Amnesty International. She joined Jumpstart
AmeriCorps in 2010, teaching with a team of FSU students
in a Tallahassee preschool.
Taylor spent fall 2011 pursuing her passion
for teaching and service in Kenya, creating lessons on
volunteering, and taking her class to serve in a neighboring
village. She then traveled to Maseru, Lesotho, to work
with the SeriousFun Network Global Partnership Initiative
called Camp ‘Mamohato, which serves children with HIV/
