Hometown: Covington, Louisiana
As a student at The University of Southern Mississippi Jeffrey has been involved in a number
of organizations and has devoted himself to serving this university. As a freshman Jeffrey
became a member of the Student Government Association’s Freshman Associates and joined
Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. Later on he joined Eagle Connection to help recruit new members of
the Golden Eagle family and began working in the First Year Initiative Office. As a
sophomore Jeffrey was appointed to serve as the Co-Director of SGA’s Eaglepalooza and
eventually was given the opportunity to serve as an orientation leader on the Southern Style
2014 team. Currently, he serves as the President of the Student Government Association
where he is given the daily opportunity to serve this university and represent our incredible
student body.
Major: Exercise Science
Hometown: Concord, North Carolina
Trent McKenzie Johnson, son of Mr. Terrance and Ms. Brenda Johnson, is an
exercise science major from Concord, NC. During his tenure at Southern
Miss, Trent has won many recognitions including Hamilton Greek Man of the
Year, Dean’s List, and Outstanding Member Award for fraternities. He is
active on campus through serving as past President and Public Relations Chair
on the NPHC (National Pan-Hellenic Council) Executive Board, Kappa Alpha
Psi Fraternity, Inc., and College of Health Ambassadors. Trent has also given
back to the community, through several philanthropic efforts focused on
children and hunger. Trent hopes to pursue medical school after graduation to
become an orthopedic surgeon to serve individuals in low-income areas.

Born In Puerto Rico; Hometown:
Atlanta, Georgia
Natacha has been a powerful force on campus since arriving at Southern Miss. Natacha
came to Southern Miss Fall 2012 after completing her freshman year at a school in Georgia.
Upon her admission to Southern Miss, she joined the Residence Hall Association as a
delegate for Hillcrest hall. Towards the end of her first semester at Southern Miss, she
became a member of the Southern Miss Activities Council. Within her time in SMAC,
Natacha has served as a member, public relations coordinator, and is currently the Social
Events Director. Natacha also had the opportunity to serve as an orientation leader in
Southern Style 2014. Now that she is graduating in May, Natacha is focusing on finishing her
duties with SMAC and doing well academically and entering grad school in the fall.
Major: Communication Studies
Hometown: Mobile, Alabama
Gavin Snyder has served as the Southern Miss Activities Council President since 2012.
Not only has he served with SMAC, but has also been a member of SGA where he has
served as Freshman Associates President, Homecoming Director, Miss USM Pageant
Director, and recently the 2014 Eaglepalooza Director. He has also been a member of
Southern Style, the University's orientation team and served on the 2014 Golden Eagle
Welcome Week Leadership Team. Involvement has played a huge role in Gavin's time
here at Southern Miss and you can often find him in the Student Activities Hub where
he works to plan and manage student life here at Southern Miss.
