Editor's Notes

  1. Good morning every one. Here we can see the news bulletins of agricultural products and their export we have witnessed remarkable growth in international recognition and demand for Indian agricultural products. Today, we will unravel the key factors behind this success and global marketability of Indian agricultural exports.

  6. APEDA also functions as the Secretariat to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) for implementation of accreditation of the Certification Bodies under National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) for organic exports. “Organic Products” for export are to be certified only if Produced, Processed and Packed as per the standards laid down in the document – "National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP)."

  8. Financial assistance is provided under three broad categories, namely: The objective of the scheme is to Reduce losses caused due to spoilage and to ensure quality production of agro-products
  9. APEDA has successfully implemented automatic renewal of Registration of Exporters for Issuance of RCMC and Pack house registration It is an omnibus mobile app developed to help farmers get relevant information instantly. The app provide information on various details such as weather, market prices, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, agriculture machinery, dealers, agro advisories, plant protection and IPM practices etc. Integration of APEDA services with Kisan Rath: Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, in association with National Informatics Centre (NIC) has developed mobile application "Kisan Rath" to facilitate farmers & traders in searching transport vehicles for Primary and Secondary transportation for movement of Agriculture & Horticulture produce.
  10. APEDA WEBSITE
  11. Objective
  12. demonstrates the fluctuating yearly growth percentages in the export of APEDA products over the years, indicating notable increases in certain years and significant declines in others. Particularly, the financial years 1995-1996 and 1991-1992 experienced substantial export growth, whereas a significant downturn was observed during 1999-2000. The years 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 witnessed a decrease in export growth due to government restrictions imposed for ensuring food security, while the year 2019-2020 saw a decline as a result of COVID-19-induced trade restrictions and lockdown Despite these fluctuations, APEDA products have shown immense potential in the global marketplace. With a comprehensive approach covering over 800 tariff lines and addressing product safety and promotion challenges, APEDA plays a crucial role in educating exporters about export requirements and supporting infrastructure development. This aims to facilitate production focused on exports from India.
  13. THANK YOU
