A Sense Of Place
This is a tragic story, but it is so well written, and maybe that's because of your attachment to the story, but this is excellent. I see no real issues so
far, except maybe you might should add a bit more to add a sense of place. Maybe it's just how involved I was in the story, but I didn't understand that
the sense of place was supposed to be on the hospital until thinking about it. I think heart rate and breast milk are spelled wrong, or they are
highlighted as wrong when I check. You should try to use PaperRater to see how you could improve? Other than that, this was a captivating and
hreatwrenching story that really informed me about a child disease that I had no idea even

My Most Memorable Place
"Unfamiliar places always help us look at life differently" but growing up as a little kid every new place is expected to be unique in its own ways.
Although, only one memorable place can be the "one" that will impact a person's life forever. My number one memorable place was when I went to
the home ballpark of the baseball team Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field in Chicago Illinois. I was 11 years old. Wrigley Field to me by far touch my life
deeply the smell of great foods like hot dogs, and the joy of people faces as they smile is really what overwhelmingly brings happiness to a ball
game. For me, what made visiting Wrigley Field for the first time so special, was going on a Sunday evening just a day before entering middle school
and the amazing beauty/history of the stadium that Wrigley field had.
I have been a Cubs fan since the age of 3. As long as I can remember my family always hosted Baseball parties just to watch the games. I went 9
years in my life wanting to go to a game when I was a kid, always begging my parents to take me to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. I was an
extremely young kid without no worries in the world. I did not understand my parents having to pay bills nor their busy schedules with work. Until
one summer day in 2010 when my mom surprisedly told me to go lie down in my bed at 8 pm on a Saturday. I recently just completed elementary
school at the time, so in my mind, I said: "why do I need to go to sleep this early?" But I listened to my mom and turned

Essay About The Place I Would Most Like To Visit
I could spend hours in my room wondering and thinking where in the world i would most like to visit. Thinking that maybe i'd live there or
possible start a family there, with a new beginning in a couple of months I could start to have a sense of curiosity to see the world. Choosing one
place is hard , having the whole world to visit, that being if you have the money for it. As i sit in my room i'm thinking hard where would I go? Will
I be comfortable on my own there? Most people would choose the most cliche places such as Paris, London , United Kingdom, and other places
known for their popular landmarks. Just one place ... Just one place . My imagination can paint murals of places that i've thought about, add so much

I set an alarm to wake up the next day, i walk down the hall into the elevator and into the lobby. Food was being served and samples were given out,
i tried some of their food and thought to myself what their cultures must be like?. I'm riding the elevator back up and go to sleep. The next
morning i see the sun peeking into the shades, the blush of dawn beautiful crimson red. I get dressed and I'm ready to start my day. I head down to
the lobby had some breakfast and go shopping in the little stores they had nearby, while i'm looking a sales clerk comes by and asked if i was
assisted and i replied with "no, but can you direct me to where the clothes are?". He kindly replied "yes,". He realized my accent wasn't from here
and he asked me where i was from and how is it in the United States. After the little store shopping fun i had i went hiking into one of the
mountains. When i arrive at the top i gaze at the beautiful landscape "they weren't wrong!" as i whispered to myself. Night came and this was the
most truly amazing experience ever to be seen . A color of aurora lights begin to light up the sky, displaying an unforgettable image. The arctic sky
was filled with an emerald green aurora that looked like a paint brush swiftly guided the strokes along the night sky. It was a wonder to see the
reflection of the northern lights reflecting the crystal clear water near the mountain side. I took many pictures to show my friends and

Place Attachment
The term place attachment can be described as a location or place where an individual has a memory that brings backs their positive feelings. Looking
back, I believe that my place attachment would be the basketball court. The reason would be because it always reminds me of the good things and
friends I made throughout the various seasons.

Describe My Favorite Place
I have always been the type of person that likes to explore. I don't like to be inside, I like to be able to take everything in and watch what's round
me. I love just watching the wildlife and exploring, finding new plants and trees blossoms my imagination. As I have explored a lot of places
around me I have found one of my favorites. At Dawes Arboretum I have found and experienced many different things on my adventures that I
want to share like: the trails, the kinds of people, the type of nature. When you go to a new place there is always that excitement of what's out there.
Where do the different trails go. At Dawes there are many different trails and pathways to take. This place is huge you can follow the paths that they
make or you can make your own. That's my favorite thing to do. I always love to find my own new things and make my own favorite paths. The
Woodlands at Dawes is such a amazing but yet spooky place to visit. In this area there is many native plants along the paths like the buttonbush,
foamflower, wild geranium. What makes this place so spooky but intriguing is the cemetery that lies here. It is named one of the oldest cemeteries in
Licking County and is stilled used my the Beard–Green Family to this day. Another site that seems to be a popular one to explore is The Arboretum
East. The trails here are a lot me rough so a lot of times more adventurous hikers go for these. This beautiful place has a little bit of everything. Its
trailers are usually about

Compare And Contrast Two Places
Compare & Contrast Essay
Imagine two places where you could choose with the outcome of receiving new life experiences. You could choose two places that have different
settings, where you could visit for vacation or simply choose to live there depending on your decision. But which of these places would you
choose? It could be so difficult to decide. Each place have their own environment that has its pro's and con's along with it. Many of you may be
asking yourself "What places could the narrator be talking about?" Pretty funny how I can relate to your thoughts, the two places we have come too,

North Carolina is home for a famous NFL team known as the North Carolina panthers, along with famous attractions such as the Nascar hall of fame.
It's mainly known for land, along with small towns. North Carolina has a different surrounding as of Florida. North Carolina has a very historical
event where the actual Wright Brother's officially flew a plane, outside the outer banks by popular beaches. North Carolina, has great college's too

Florida they provide $8.05. Sure Eighty five cent's sounds small but it's a big difference. Along with economic differences. The main differences
between Florida & North Carolina is considered an always hot environment while in north Carolina is different, mainly seasonal changes occur,

Essay on Places I Have Lived
I have opinions of all the places I have lived. Each place has its advantages and disadvantages, and I am not sure if there is any place that really fits me
well. In this essay, I will examine the bad and good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal"
conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place that I think is best for me.
I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it to be my hometown. I have some bad memories
from there. I don?t like the people and places, especially some of its unique characteristics, like the night market from Gujarat . The pattern of the

But, it was very hot in summer and freezing cold in spring. My town had so many good restaurants and shopping mall. Well, it?s up to north of
Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has rivers down there. On the Good side, this town was wide open. There was lots of space and the
natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem, there was not much pollution either. I like this
because it was easier to keep healthy.
Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire
place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to
visit, lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons, but I think life here is just much more exciting.
I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late night. However I do parties because sometime I get
lonely. After living in these entire places, I think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so
important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order from first to last. First of all I like to live in less
populated and clean town.

Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a
good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all
though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special.

it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations
stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your
toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and
you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and
balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports
you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible
to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to
experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a
restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. I can't wait for

Describe A Place Analysis
I.Introduction
If you sit and look at all of the things around you that are considered to be geographical; for example, schools, houses, restaurants, landscapes, and
even the streets that we walk on every day they all have a story to tell. Some of these things have been here for years and some only for months. The
people that lived here before us and the people that will live here after us will all have their story to live and tell. Each place has a special meaning to
that one person that maybe no one knows. There is a special place that will always be with me; it is not extravagant, but it is a place that means a lot
to many people, not just me. It is a small restaurant, in the small town of Nocona, Texas, called Dairy Queen; a little place that reminds me of home.
Let us take a closer look at this wonderful place that is one of the main attractions of the city of Nocona, using the five themes of geography: region,
location, place, movement, and human–environmental interaction.
II.General Overview
Recently, we went home to see family. Home might not necessarily be where you live, but where you feel the love of your family. Home might be
where you feel comfortable or at ease in the sense that you can just take that one big deep breath and let everything out and relax. When I think of that
place I think of the smells, the people...show more content...
Most of the roads around this building are dirt roads, but, the highways are pavement. The parking lot of the Dairy Queen in Nocona is gravel. So,
when you drive in to park you can almost guarantee that rocks will be slung around. There are stop lights on every corner of where the Dairy Queen
sits. Although, these stop lights are not like in the big city, there hung by wire. This little town is not as wealthy so they do not have lightning posts
like the ones you see in the big cities. That is okay though. These lights get the job

Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place
The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with
the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of diverse
people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me
because who knew that such a beautiful place could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down a
narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on
a wooden bench eating ice cream that slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe the elderly
couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then
the elderly woman's ice cream starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning with them. A melody
ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck
has a window fixtured on its side where a man hands out ice cream to a long line of kids waiting. Finding myself in line, I notice a younger couple at

What Is The Perfect Place Essay
The perfect place
"Nature is the direct expression of the divine imagination."
–John O'Donohue I think we all have in our deepest imagination an image of the perfect place. The perfect place to spend time with ourselves and
listen to our trench thoughts. A place to search our inner self as we feel the blood rushing through our body all the way to the sound of a heartbeat.
My perfect place was deeply absorbed in my dull thoughts but finally, I have regained and found it. The perfect place to find joy, comfort and
peaceful thoughts is being lost in nature. I find myself dreaming of the perfect place at a forest. It is a bamboo–brown, leafy paradise that when you
look up, trees are tall as skyscraper. As I walk under every sprawlingtree, they remind me of watching guardians. The only sound is the springs clear
water rushing down the rocks. The strong wind "swooshes" messing up my long brown hair as the dried leaves rest over my chaotic hair. I take a

An Important Place In my Life
Growing up as a child, I remember looking forward to every summer vacation, when my family and I would all go to Mexico for a couple of
weeks. I remember that my dad would wake us up the day we were leaving at around 5 a.m. and we would all pack our stuff in our van. We would
head out on our way within an hour. The trip took a long time, 2 days to be exact, but when you 're little nothing really matters. You can be in a van
on a road trip for days and as long as you have something to be entertained with, time flies by fast. On our way to Mexico, I can remember my mom
and dad pointing out things along the road to keep us entertained for a while. We would stop at places like Arizona, and we 'd buy a little bag that you

They would ask me how it was, and I 'd tell them that it was not that different from Mexico. I would tell them about the malls we had and they
would have an expression on their face as if I were telling them a fairy tale. They imagined every house in the U.S. to be 2 stories high with huge
pools, but I told them that not all houses were like that. Sometimes my aunts would sit with us and tell us stories of when they were little.
Sometimes they would try to scare us so we would go to sleep. They 'd tell us stories of the "chamuco" and "la llorona". Every day was fun in
Mexico. It didn 't matter what we did, we had fun doing it. I remember all the little kids in the neighborhood would all come out of their houses at
night and meet in the street to play soccer or hide–and–seek. The worst part of going to Mexico was the day we had to leave. I remember crying so my
parents would let me stay and live in Mexico, but they would tell me no. Saying good–bye was hard, because everyone would be crying, but when we
did say good–bye, it was off to the road again. Another 2 days to get home. The first few hours of the trip I would be crying, because I missed my
little cousins, but after a while I would forget and things would be back to normal. My dad would stop at different places so we would get
entertained and forget about Mexico. The last time I went to Mexico was about a year and a half ago. We went

What Is A Place Home Essay
There is not a single place on this Earth that someone can take me that will make me feel at ease no matter how hard that person tries. The only thing

Place Attachment Research
To each of us there is a place that when someone says to think of our favorite place, we think of that specific one. Whether it's a specific chair in a
library or the upstairs floor of a house we can all think of some place that has significant meaning to us. Place attachment is defined as an emotional
bond в€’usually positiveв€’ between person and place which is linked to the theory of meaning of place which deals with the elements in an interior
that have meaning to some but mean nothing to others. For example, a bedroom can seem like a safe haven for someone, but to someone else it is just
another bedroom. Yi–Fu Tuan, humanistic geographer and environmental psychologist, argues that what begins as undifferentiated "space" evolves
into "place"...show more content...
These interactions are usually positive causing a deeper attraction to the place of interaction. If people's identity and values are indeed informed
by places they deem significant, then it follows that people's bonds with those places will impact their engagement in such places, whether it be to
maintain or improve them, respond to changes within them, or simply to stay in that place (Pretty, Chipuer, and Bramston 2003). People are more
likely to stay in places they have an attachment rather than places they are indifferent to. The memories they make in said interiors help them to
react to outside forces in a way that is personal to them, and gives them a way to define who they truly are. Another aspect to this, is being able to
be in an interior where expressing oneself is smiled on instead of suppressed. "Place identity is the extent to which a place becomes a crucial
symbolic component of one's definition of self" (). Sunday nights would roll around and the feeling of excitement I received from going to my
grandma's house to be with family never got old. No matter how old I got, I always looked forward to the time I could spend in the living room with
all my aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and grandparents. There was something special about that place that made me want to return each week and
ultimately never leave. By applying the components of increased quality of life, sense of belonging, and strengthened personal identity, I am attached to
my grandmother's living

Profile of a Place Essay
Separate but equal is the approach that my roommate and I took when we moved in. To keep things separate, her things are on the left and mine
are on the right. The equal part comes in if one of us wants to use something of the others (such as a nail clipper or a hair tie.) This means that
almost anything we own is open to use with permission. We decided that we didn't want to combine any of our things just yet because we didn't
know each other that well. I believe it's a good idea because it will reduce the chance of an argument over whose things are whose. Girls seem to be
pettier about their things than boys. Having two girls in such a small space can lead to unwanted confrontation and bitterness. I'm not a territorial person,

My Favorite Place
One of my favorite places in the world that has affected my life the most is my childhood town and my home in Mobile, Alabama. I grew up in a
beige, two story house that sits on a long yard backed up to Dog River. My house is about ten minutes outside of downtown Mobile, AL and is very
close to Mobile Bay. Spending time near the water and growing up in the area that I did greatly influenced the way that I think about things and the
way that I live my life. My family has lived in them same area for generations and not many have moved away. In Jamaica Kincaid's A Small Place,
Kincaid talks about how when multiple generations grow up in the same area, they tend to become more invested and involved with the area that
they are in, growing in their appreciation for the place that they grew up. The place that I grew up in has greatly affected the person that I have
become in ways such as where my ancestors are from, how I view social issues, and my own personal identity.
My mother's family lived on the same river about a mile away, and my father's family had lived in the city for generations. The area I grew up in was
the same area that my parents and grandparents grew up in, so it is safe to say that I was greatly influenced by the area. Since I have such a deep
connection to the area I grew up in, I have developed a fondness for the river and the wildlife in it. My whole life I have loved to go fishing and skiing
on the water, or just sitting on the bank of the river to relax.

Essay Important Place
An important place.

As a child the most important place to me was the block in my neighborhood I grew up on. It was a particularly long and very wide street with
several pairs of incredibly tall palm trees spread throughout both sidewalks. There was no shortage of playmates; almost every other home on the
block had children around my age I could play with. There was also an older generation of teenagers that hung around together. I also had other family
members living down the street from my house on the same block. As the children played daily so did the adults. The men of the block all met daily
after work rotating from one home to another. They could be seen sitting around every...show more content...
It also made things great that our families were all close friends so our playtime was extended to trips together or while the adults wanted to come
over for dinner. Unfortunately Marco moved away with his family when we were just 6 years old. Michael and I continued to be best friends growing up
into our pre–teen years; suddenly Michael's family decided to move out of California, just as Marco and his family did years earlier. It was a sad
time for me, but life went on and my neighborhood was still filled with young, wild, and free kids to play with. New friendships were created and
new memories were made. Although, I never found another best friend to replace Michael or Marco, I continued to build friendships and enjoyed my
time on Carondelet Street.
Everyday around 5pm the men of the neighborhood would begin to slowly gather to a neighbor's home. The objective was just to have a great time
with great people. It was a time during the day where everyone drank to unwind and get comfortable. Instead of a local bar with strangers it was with
their family and their friends. They talked about their day at work, as most of the men came straight from their jobs with some still wearing their
uniform. They sat for hours into the late evening, laughing, telling stories, and gambling by playing cards. It didn't matter if it was a weekday; it was
all about having a great time with the people who were most

A Sense of Place

  • 1. A Sense Of Place This is a tragic story, but it is so well written, and maybe that's because of your attachment to the story, but this is excellent. I see no real issues so far, except maybe you might should add a bit more to add a sense of place. Maybe it's just how involved I was in the story, but I didn't understand that the sense of place was supposed to be on the hospital until thinking about it. I think heart rate and breast milk are spelled wrong, or they are highlighted as wrong when I check. You should try to use PaperRater to see how you could improve? Other than that, this was a captivating and hreatwrenching story that really informed me about a child disease that I had no idea even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Most Memorable Place "Unfamiliar places always help us look at life differently" but growing up as a little kid every new place is expected to be unique in its own ways. Although, only one memorable place can be the "one" that will impact a person's life forever. My number one memorable place was when I went to the home ballpark of the baseball team Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field in Chicago Illinois. I was 11 years old. Wrigley Field to me by far touch my life deeply the smell of great foods like hot dogs, and the joy of people faces as they smile is really what overwhelmingly brings happiness to a ball game. For me, what made visiting Wrigley Field for the first time so special, was going on a Sunday evening just a day before entering middle school and the amazing beauty/history of the stadium that Wrigley field had. I have been a Cubs fan since the age of 3. As long as I can remember my family always hosted Baseball parties just to watch the games. I went 9 years in my life wanting to go to a game when I was a kid, always begging my parents to take me to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. I was an extremely young kid without no worries in the world. I did not understand my parents having to pay bills nor their busy schedules with work. Until one summer day in 2010 when my mom surprisedly told me to go lie down in my bed at 8 pm on a Saturday. I recently just completed elementary school at the time, so in my mind, I said: "why do I need to go to sleep this early?" But I listened to my mom and turned Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay About The Place I Would Most Like To Visit I could spend hours in my room wondering and thinking where in the world i would most like to visit. Thinking that maybe i'd live there or possible start a family there, with a new beginning in a couple of months I could start to have a sense of curiosity to see the world. Choosing one place is hard , having the whole world to visit, that being if you have the money for it. As i sit in my room i'm thinking hard where would I go? Will I be comfortable on my own there? Most people would choose the most cliche places such as Paris, London , United Kingdom, and other places known for their popular landmarks. Just one place ... Just one place . My imagination can paint murals of places that i've thought about, add so much detail to fit into one...show more content... I set an alarm to wake up the next day, i walk down the hall into the elevator and into the lobby. Food was being served and samples were given out, i tried some of their food and thought to myself what their cultures must be like?. I'm riding the elevator back up and go to sleep. The next morning i see the sun peeking into the shades, the blush of dawn beautiful crimson red. I get dressed and I'm ready to start my day. I head down to the lobby had some breakfast and go shopping in the little stores they had nearby, while i'm looking a sales clerk comes by and asked if i was assisted and i replied with "no, but can you direct me to where the clothes are?". He kindly replied "yes,". He realized my accent wasn't from here and he asked me where i was from and how is it in the United States. After the little store shopping fun i had i went hiking into one of the mountains. When i arrive at the top i gaze at the beautiful landscape "they weren't wrong!" as i whispered to myself. Night came and this was the most truly amazing experience ever to be seen . A color of aurora lights begin to light up the sky, displaying an unforgettable image. The arctic sky was filled with an emerald green aurora that looked like a paint brush swiftly guided the strokes along the night sky. It was a wonder to see the reflection of the northern lights reflecting the crystal clear water near the mountain side. I took many pictures to show my friends and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Place Attachment The term place attachment can be described as a location or place where an individual has a memory that brings backs their positive feelings. Looking back, I believe that my place attachment would be the basketball court. The reason would be because it always reminds me of the good things and friends I made throughout the various seasons. • 5. Describe My Favorite Place I have always been the type of person that likes to explore. I don't like to be inside, I like to be able to take everything in and watch what's round me. I love just watching the wildlife and exploring, finding new plants and trees blossoms my imagination. As I have explored a lot of places around me I have found one of my favorites. At Dawes Arboretum I have found and experienced many different things on my adventures that I want to share like: the trails, the kinds of people, the type of nature. When you go to a new place there is always that excitement of what's out there. Where do the different trails go. At Dawes there are many different trails and pathways to take. This place is huge you can follow the paths that they make or you can make your own. That's my favorite thing to do. I always love to find my own new things and make my own favorite paths. The Woodlands at Dawes is such a amazing but yet spooky place to visit. In this area there is many native plants along the paths like the buttonbush, foamflower, wild geranium. What makes this place so spooky but intriguing is the cemetery that lies here. It is named one of the oldest cemeteries in Licking County and is stilled used my the Beard–Green Family to this day. Another site that seems to be a popular one to explore is The Arboretum East. The trails here are a lot me rough so a lot of times more adventurous hikers go for these. This beautiful place has a little bit of everything. Its trailers are usually about Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Compare And Contrast Two Places Compare & Contrast Essay Imagine two places where you could choose with the outcome of receiving new life experiences. You could choose two places that have different settings, where you could visit for vacation or simply choose to live there depending on your decision. But which of these places would you choose? It could be so difficult to decide. Each place have their own environment that has its pro's and con's along with it. Many of you may be asking yourself "What places could the narrator be talking about?" Pretty funny how I can relate to your thoughts, the two places we have come too, to listen to their seminaries & differences are the lovely two states named Florida & North Carolina located in the United States of America. Florida,...show more content... North Carolina is home for a famous NFL team known as the North Carolina panthers, along with famous attractions such as the Nascar hall of fame. It's mainly known for land, along with small towns. North Carolina has a different surrounding as of Florida. North Carolina has a very historical event where the actual Wright Brother's officially flew a plane, outside the outer banks by popular beaches. North Carolina, has great college's too choose from for example you have Duke University, North Carolina State University that provide excellent educational plans to study for a major of your future careers. Here's the fact the minimum wage for North Carolina is way less then Florida currently they're providing $7.25 while in Florida they provide $8.05. Sure Eighty five cent's sounds small but it's a big difference. Along with economic differences. The main differences between Florida & North Carolina is considered an always hot environment while in north Carolina is different, mainly seasonal changes occur, Experiencing all of the changes in your surroundings. If you're looking for a more satisfying place to live in, it depends on your taste but if you'd like to experience many things I'd recommend Florida as I listed the reasons before by experiencing certain aspects such as the state provides more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay on Places I Have Lived I have opinions of all the places I have lived. Each place has its advantages and disadvantages, and I am not sure if there is any place that really fits me well. In this essay, I will examine the bad and good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal" conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place that I think is best for me. I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it to be my hometown. I have some bad memories from there. I don?t like the people and places, especially some of its unique characteristics, like the night market from Gujarat . The pattern of the ...show more content... But, it was very hot in summer and freezing cold in spring. My town had so many good restaurants and shopping mall. Well, it?s up to north of Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has rivers down there. On the Good side, this town was wide open. There was lots of space and the natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem, there was not much pollution either. I like this because it was easier to keep healthy. Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to visit, lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons, but I think life here is just much more exciting. I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late night. However I do parties because sometime I get lonely. After living in these entire places, I think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order from first to last. First of all I like to live in less populated and clean town. • 8. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content... Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. • 9. Describe A Place Analysis I.Introduction If you sit and look at all of the things around you that are considered to be geographical; for example, schools, houses, restaurants, landscapes, and even the streets that we walk on every day they all have a story to tell. Some of these things have been here for years and some only for months. The people that lived here before us and the people that will live here after us will all have their story to live and tell. Each place has a special meaning to that one person that maybe no one knows. There is a special place that will always be with me; it is not extravagant, but it is a place that means a lot to many people, not just me. It is a small restaurant, in the small town of Nocona, Texas, called Dairy Queen; a little place that reminds me of home. Let us take a closer look at this wonderful place that is one of the main attractions of the city of Nocona, using the five themes of geography: region, location, place, movement, and human–environmental interaction. II.General Overview Recently, we went home to see family. Home might not necessarily be where you live, but where you feel the love of your family. • 10. Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of diverse people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me because who knew that such a beautiful place could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down a narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on a wooden bench eating ice cream that slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe the elderly couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then the elderly woman's ice cream starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning with them. A melody ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck has a window fixtured on its side where a man hands out ice cream to a long line of kids waiting. Finding myself in line, I notice a younger couple at the very front who Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 12. What Is The Perfect Place Essay The perfect place "Nature is the direct expression of the divine imagination." –John O'Donohue I think we all have in our deepest imagination an image of the perfect place. The perfect place to spend time with ourselves and listen to our trench thoughts. A place to search our inner self as we feel the blood rushing through our body all the way to the sound of a heartbeat. My perfect place was deeply absorbed in my dull thoughts but finally, I have regained and found it. The perfect place to find joy, comfort and peaceful thoughts is being lost in nature. I find myself dreaming of the perfect place at a forest. It is a bamboo–brown, leafy paradise that when you look up, trees are tall as skyscraper. As I walk under every sprawlingtree, they remind me of watching guardians. The only sound is the springs clear water rushing down the rocks. • 14. An Important Place In my Life Growing up as a child, I remember looking forward to every summer vacation, when my family and I would all go to Mexico for a couple of weeks. I remember that my dad would wake us up the day we were leaving at around 5 a.m. and we would all pack our stuff in our van. We would head out on our way within an hour. The trip took a long time, 2 days to be exact, but when you 're little nothing really matters. You can be in a van on a road trip for days and as long as you have something to be entertained with, time flies by fast. On our way to Mexico, I can remember my mom and dad pointing out things along the road to keep us entertained for a while. We would stop at places like Arizona, and we 'd buy a little bag that you could fill up with as...show more content... I would tell them about the malls we had and they would have an expression on their face as if I were telling them a fairy tale. They imagined every house in the U.S. to be 2 stories high with huge pools, but I told them that not all houses were like that. Sometimes my aunts would sit with us and tell us stories of when they were little. Sometimes they would try to scare us so we would go to sleep. They 'd tell us stories of the "chamuco" and "la llorona". Every day was fun in Mexico. It didn 't matter what we did, we had fun doing it. I remember all the little kids in the neighborhood would all come out of their houses at night and meet in the street to play soccer or hide–and–seek. The worst part of going to Mexico was the day we had to leave. I remember crying so my parents would let me stay and live in Mexico, but they would tell me no. Saying good–bye was hard, because everyone would be crying, but when we did say good–bye, it was off to the road again. Another 2 days to get home. The first few hours of the trip I would be crying, because I missed my little cousins, but after a while I would forget and things would be back to normal. My dad would stop at different places so we would get entertained and forget about Mexico. The last time I went to Mexico was about a year and a half ago. We went Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. What Is A Place Home Essay There is not a single place on this Earth that someone can take me that will make me feel at ease no matter how hard that person tries. The only thing that can truly make someplace home and make me feel at ease is a place with friends, family, and a place to perform. • 16. Place Attachment Research To each of us there is a place that when someone says to think of our favorite place, we think of that specific one. Whether it's a specific chair in a library or the upstairs floor of a house we can all think of some place that has significant meaning to us. Place attachment is defined as an emotional bond в€’usually positiveв€’ between person and place which is linked to the theory of meaning of place which deals with the elements in an interior that have meaning to some but mean nothing to others. For example, a bedroom can seem like a safe haven for someone, but to someone else it is just another bedroom. Yi–Fu Tuan, humanistic geographer and environmental psychologist, argues that what begins as undifferentiated "space" evolves into "place"...show more content... These interactions are usually positive causing a deeper attraction to the place of interaction. If people's identity and values are indeed informed by places they deem significant, then it follows that people's bonds with those places will impact their engagement in such places, whether it be to maintain or improve them, respond to changes within them, or simply to stay in that place (Pretty, Chipuer, and Bramston 2003). People are more likely to stay in places they have an attachment rather than places they are indifferent to. The memories they make in said interiors help them to react to outside forces in a way that is personal to them, and gives them a way to define who they truly are. Another aspect to this, is being able to be in an interior where expressing oneself is smiled on instead of suppressed. "Place identity is the extent to which a place becomes a crucial symbolic component of one's definition of self" (). Sunday nights would roll around and the feeling of excitement I received from going to my grandma's house to be with family never got old. No matter how old I got, I always looked forward to the time I could spend in the living room with all my aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and grandparents. There was something special about that place that made me want to return each week and ultimately never leave. By applying the components of increased quality of life, sense of belonging, and strengthened personal identity, I am attached to my grandmother's living Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Profile of a Place Essay Separate but equal is the approach that my roommate and I took when we moved in. To keep things separate, her things are on the left and mine are on the right. The equal part comes in if one of us wants to use something of the others (such as a nail clipper or a hair tie.) This means that almost anything we own is open to use with permission. We decided that we didn't want to combine any of our things just yet because we didn't know each other that well. I believe it's a good idea because it will reduce the chance of an argument over whose things are whose. Girls seem to be pettier about their things than boys. Having two girls in such a small space can lead to unwanted confrontation and bitterness. I'm not a territorial person, ...show more content... When a room is cluttered it looks even smaller. Sometimes when I walk through the door her towel and dirty clothes are right in the middle of the floor. It's obvious to see that in most cases, she does not honor our "separate but equal" rule. It's ironic that this is happening because she thought of the idea. • 18. My Favorite Place One of my favorite places in the world that has affected my life the most is my childhood town and my home in Mobile, Alabama. I grew up in a beige, two story house that sits on a long yard backed up to Dog River. My house is about ten minutes outside of downtown Mobile, AL and is very close to Mobile Bay. Spending time near the water and growing up in the area that I did greatly influenced the way that I think about things and the way that I live my life. My family has lived in them same area for generations and not many have moved away. In Jamaica Kincaid's A Small Place, Kincaid talks about how when multiple generations grow up in the same area, they tend to become more invested and involved with the area that they are in, growing in their appreciation for the place that they grew up. The place that I grew up in has greatly affected the person that I have become in ways such as where my ancestors are from, how I view social issues, and my own personal identity. My mother's family lived on the same river about a mile away, and my father's family had lived in the city for generations. The area I grew up in was the same area that my parents and grandparents grew up in, so it is safe to say that I was greatly influenced by the area. Since I have such a deep connection to the area I grew up in, I have developed a fondness for the river and the wildlife in it. My whole life I have loved to go fishing and skiing on the water, or just sitting on the bank of the river to relax. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Essay Important Place An important place. Chris English 123 August 20, 2013 2 As a child the most important place to me was the block in my neighborhood I grew up on. It was a particularly long and very wide street with several pairs of incredibly tall palm trees spread throughout both sidewalks. There was no shortage of playmates; almost every other home on the block had children around my age I could play with. There was also an older generation of teenagers that hung around together. I also had other family members living down the street from my house on the same block. As the children played daily so did the adults. The men of the block all met daily after work rotating from one home to another. They could be seen sitting around every...show more content... It also made things great that our families were all close friends so our playtime was extended to trips together or while the adults wanted to come over for dinner. Unfortunately Marco moved away with his family when we were just 6 years old. Michael and I continued to be best friends growing up into our pre–teen years; suddenly Michael's family decided to move out of California, just as Marco and his family did years earlier. It was a sad time for me, but life went on and my neighborhood was still filled with young, wild, and free kids to play with. New friendships were created and new memories were made. Although, I never found another best friend to replace Michael or Marco, I continued to build friendships and enjoyed my time on Carondelet Street. Everyday around 5pm the men of the neighborhood would begin to slowly gather to a neighbor's home. The objective was just to have a great time with great people. It was a time during the day where everyone drank to unwind and get comfortable. Instead of a local bar with strangers it was with their family and their friends. They talked about their day at work, as most of the men came straight from their jobs with some still wearing their uniform. They sat for hours into the late evening, laughing, telling stories, and gambling by playing cards. It didn't matter if it was a weekday; it was all about having a great time with the people who were most
