Study Abroad Consultant Essay
Questions to Ask Your Study Abroad Consultant With the ever growing popularity of overseas education, international admissions experts have
sprung up like tea stalls at every street corner. Some promise a red carpet walk to the admissions office, in exchange for your first born, while
others let you easy on the price but offer very little in credible services. Take, for instance, MBA admissions consultants. More than any other
overseas degree, MBA aspirants are the most likely to avail the conveniences of one of the many admission consultancies, in the business. In fact,
nearly 45% MBA applications, in 2016, were counseled by one of the 300+ MBA consultancies. Often with a price tag same as that of a small sedan,

Read how UCLA rejected an application for a plagiarized essay...ouch! In fact, admission consultancies have a body, the AIGAC, that works in a
framework that sets clear boundaries between ethical and unethical practices. Read ethics in MBA admissions consulting. So, besides wearing a
deerstalker hat, and smoking a calabash pipe (*cough* Sherlock *cough*), while searching for that genuine overseas education counsellor, you should
ask some basic, yet pertinent, questions to all the consultancies you shortlist. You should be prepared for a prompt, and transparent, response, a lack of

Today I am a very successful student at Albany State University. I am a Presidential Scholarship recipient, holding a 3.6 Grade Point Average and a
member of the Velma Fudge Grant Honors Program. As a second semester junior, I am proud to say I have remained on the Dean's List since I
arrived on campus. Aside from my academics, I am very active on campus. As a Social Work major, I work diligently with the Students Social Work
Association as an advocate for social policy and justice. Through this organization I have accumulated over three hundred hours of community outreach
and volunteerism. In 2013, I served as the organization's queen, receiving the title Ms. SSWA. More recently I have become a Global Ambassador for
the university's Study Abroad Global Program. Looking at my achievements, I would have never imagined myself as a prosperous college student.
For most of my life I had been considered a statistic. My mother gave birth to me out of wedlock with a father I have never met and I am an African
American minority who comes from poverty. These two aspects of my life analytically put me at a higher risk to conceive children during my
adolescent years and to continue a cycle of poverty. Coming from a low income neighborhood that resided on the border of two local gangs, I
believed these types of studies. I thought that my future would be bleak. I felt torn down by society's self–fulfilling prophecy of my outcomes. Things
really hit home when I witnessed my cousin's

Study Abroad Proposal
If chosen, the focus of my proposal will be to collaborate with the Student Support Services department at the University of Connecticut. This is a
department grounded in catering to the needs of first–generation, minority students. My goal would be to assist in manifesting studying abroad as an
attainable reality for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Every summer, Student Support Services offers a pre–collegiate program aiding in
transition of incoming freshman, allowing the students a head start. Students enroll in six credits, live in dormitories on campus and are given an in
depth preview of the opportunities college has to offer. Being a former alumni of this program, I want to pay it forward to the SSS community through

will be publicized on social media a simple yet effective way to communicate my experience. This doing will be insightful for potential students to

Persuasive Essay For Study Abroad
When in Rome! I chose to pick a study abroad program because I want to explore the world. I think it is a perfect idea to get a chance to travel to
another country and earn college credits. I chose Rome because that is where I think I will be more comfortable to visit while in college. It is full of
culture, fashion, great cuisines, art, and many more! It has always been on my bucket list to go to Italy. It is the perfect opportunity to visit the country
especially while I am in college. I remember watching Lizzie McGuire as a child and she went to Rome and impersonated an Italian pop star, Isabella.
She met this handsome man who took her to tour the city. Everyone eventually realized he was using her to ruin Isabella, but it was still a happy
ending for Lizzie McGuire. I wanted that happy ending it looked like so much fun running around Rome. The expenses are outstanding for the trip, but
at least I have an agenda all laid out by the program. For this study abroad, I could not find the exact requirements for attendance, but the minimum
grade point average (GPA) for school activities are ranging from 2.5 to 4.0 GPA scale. The classes or study abroad will not be available if ten or
more students are not enrolled. I would also recommend the students' classification to be a junior or higher because at this point they are older and
responsible enough to take their classes seriously and make it an adventurous tour of learning and exploring. The program does recommend a letter

Student Ambassador Application Essay
I have applied and would appreciate being considered for the 2017 Student Ambassador Program. I applied for this program because I wish to be a part
of more than just classes at University. I wish to be a part of a team that encourages others and solves real life problems that every day people are
facing about University, some of which I may have experienced, others I may not, either way I hope to help. During my final year of high school, I went
to many open days and lectures and couldn't make up my mind of what I wanted to do, where I wanted to study and who I wanted to be. Throughout
this time all I felt was pressure to finally make a decision, a decision that I thought would affect my future, but instead of deciding I became stressed,

I discovered a love for art history my freshman year in an honors course with Dr. Esther Sparks. She was so passionate about art history and her
students. Dr. Sparks painted such a vivid picture of the history behind the art, its importance and significance. When considering study abroad
locations, because of the class I took on a whim and Dr. Sparks whom I adored, I knew I wanted to travel somewhere with rich history, culture, art,
and architecture. On every street corner of Florence, Italy, stands some piece of history; therefore, I have chosen this location for my study abroad
experience. I am completely awestruck by not only the beauty of these masterpieces, but by the stories they hold. I find myself daydreaming of the
people who created these magnificent structures, who they were, and what they thought of themselves and their creations. My goal is to immerse
myself in the culture and absorb as much knowledge and understanding of Italian history and traditions as I possibly can so that I may, in turn, become
a more well rounded individual.
Through this study abroad program, I will be able to earn six credit hours. I am a Communication Sciences and Disorders major and I would have

individual, encourage and explore my curiosities, and truly dedicate myself to academic and cultural growth. This is the ultimate opportunity for
development as a citizen scholar. I will be challenged not only in the classroom, but also throughout the entire duration of my studies in

Studying Abroad
Have you ever thought about studying abroad? No, not just for a few months for your work–experience, but a whole year (or longer) as a
transfer–student. Of course, you don't make such a decision from one minute to the next. It needs to be thought over well. Going to college is a big
change in your life because it usually means living on your own for the first time, but as a foreign student it is even a bigger change because you are on
your own in another country. This is often the greatest concern for students to go abroad: to leave everything behind. They have trouble leaving their
family and the familiar environment. They think this price is just too high. But if they only knew how rich they will be when they come...show more

There are several philosophies about international education. For instance, there is a belief, ironically arisen by the Second World War, that improved
international understanding can prevent another war in the future. C. E. Speakman, the author of International Exchange in Education puts it this way:
"if foreigners could only see what we are really like, they would not fight us." When you consider studying abroad, you might not think about
preventing a war, but indeed, learning about other cultures can be very beneficial. Especially nowadays, when the media and Internet make it possible
for people of different cultures to interact more intensely with one another, understanding of each other's culture is essential. M. A. Reischauer,
professor of history at Harvard University and former U.S. ambassador to Japan, claims that cultural learning is even essential for human survival
because "the world is becoming a single great global community."
Yet, is cultural learning essential for a culture, like the one of the United States, that seems quite similar to the Dutch culture? Maybe you think you
already know what the Americans are like. But based on what? The news reports about the president's daily pursuits you hear on the radio, the
adventures of "Friends" you watch on television, and the Statue of Liberty you saw on your holiday trip to New York? This is not the real America.
Isn't the Dutch culture more than

Five years after moving to the United States, I completed one of the proudest accomplishments of my life. Graduating Cum Laude with triple degrees:
1) Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, 2) Bachelor of Science in Marketing, and 3) a Bachelor of Arts in Business Sustainability. I also
obtained an International Business Certificate from W. P. CareySchool of Business, one of the best Business schools in the nation.
My determination to become an expert in the Global Supply Chain field inspired me to attain a degree in both, Business Sustainability and Marketing.
My academic and professional experiences showed me the importance of combining those degrees in the Supply Chain FIELD, as I noticed the
importance of cross–functional cooperation between those departments. Even though it was daring to simultaneously pursue multiple degrees and a
certificate in a relatively short amount of time, my perseverance to become a well–rounded business professional motivated me to achieve such
accomplishments. This challenge was also influenced by my eagerness to maintain a high GPA while sustaining an involvement in the Supply Chain

The study Abroad Program is a unique opportunity for myself as a student at BMCC. As a Liberal Arts student and Italian Language learner, I believe

I am interested in this study opportunity because it will not only help me in my educational future and career in languages, but also it will connect me
and help me embrace my Italian roots. Also learn about my culture and implement everything that I have learned in this two years in person,
communicating and interacting with the people. Academically I believe that is very important for me to keep studying Italian, and there is no better
way to do it but interacting and putting in practice what I have learn until know. Also not only speak the language but also understand the history of
my culture, seeing in person, all of the historical places that we have spoken of during class time and learning more deep into it.

Why Students Should Study Abroad Essay
Education gives the ability and flexibility to engage in many opportunities during life. Peter Gray, a research professor and an author for Psychology
Today, shares that from the beginning, education was given to children through exploring and learning from one's own mistakes. Society today sets
apart buildings, schools, and universities giving a more in depth education to children and adults instead of allowing them to learn from them and
nature. Today, the many different methods of educating students include, classroomlearning, homeschooling, online learning, and studying abroad.
Each method uniquely shapes and teaches students differently. Studying abroad and classroom learning, especially in America, hold factors proving
beneficial to those pursuing their education.
One reason why students should study abroad is because of academic opportunities the experience provides. Studying abroad allows them to explore
and learn from themselves; in addition to, they also learn in a traditional classroom environment. The Texas A&M Univeristy of Kingsville article,
"Reasons to study abroad," acknowledges that going overseas while unfamiliar with a country 's location, culture, and language, forces the overseas
learner to adapt to their environment. This helps the learner become more independent and develop better language skills. Many employers,
universities, and colleges look for these attributes when individuals apply. Colleges notice the transcripts of applicants understanding

Persuasive Essay For Study Abroad
Studying abroad as a college student may be one of the most sporadic and fruitful opportunities they may ever come across. Opportunities don't
always arise as timely as some may want, so when they do, the wise thing to do would be to seize it. In hopes to attract international students, the
Chinese government is offering to fund for their travel abroad program. Luckily, Bowie is one of the many recipients of the funding, and as a Bowie
State student, this is an opportunity I can afford to miss out on. As a prospective study abroad student, I am excited to gain knowledge for another
culture, establish valuable connections and networks, and travel to somewhere I've never been. Going to another country can be an exhilarating
experience. From learning a new language to meeting new people, studying abroad can introduce the participant to an entirely new place and culture.
During my stay in Harbin I hope to learn the basic fundamentals of Mandarin, I would like to learn how to cook some traditional dishes and learn more
about Chinese art. Although I will be taking courses to advance through college, I will also be able to take cultural courses offered by Heilongjiang
University. One of the most important courses I will take up while in China will be Chinese courses. Learning Chinese will not only broaden my
horizons culturally, it will also help me boost in my career. Mandarin is one of the business languages of the world and is growing to become the

Importance Of Studying Abroad In Germany
Why do you want to spend a year in Germany specifically rather than in another European country?
In my opinion Germany is the ideal country to spend a year, it has an interesting and complex history, strong culture. Germany is also located in the
heart of Europe which makes it a culturally vivid and intriguing country that's influenced by the surrounding diverse ethnicities. Studying abroad in
Germany will aid me to experience a brand–new country with incredible outlooks, customers, and activities. The benefits of being in Germany also
include the world–renowned museums, landscapes, and historical sites. As a student of the School of International Service here at American
University, I have learned a great deal about conflicts that Germany is facing, for example, the migration and refugee crisis, Economic problems
throughout the region. As an aspiring International Correspondent, I want to be able to apply the knowledge I have learned so far in the classroom to
hopefully aid in finding a resolution to current crises or further my knowledge in international relations. Having firsthand experience in Germany, which
is the strongest economy in Europe, will help me obtain a new perspective on German politics and European Politics.

It is said that education in the west provides practicability and prepares people to educate themselves in life. Studying abroad goes beyond academic
fulfillment. It exposes people to a different worldviews altogether. People learn many things in different countries. Studying abroad exposes people to
different cultures. It teaches about different cultural practices such as rites, rituals and relations. It helps people appreciate these different cultures, as
well. It also educates about different ways of living for example the foods people eat and pass–time activities in which they involve themselves.
Studying abroad also helps to promote inter–cultural relations and communications (Deardorff 253). It also helps people learn different languages.
Another merit for studying abroad is that it enriches someone with knowledge and inter–cultural communication skills that one can apply in their home
country. When people study abroad and return to their home countries, they are able to improve their societies with their acquired knowledge and
they are also able to relate and work well with foreign people in their countries. Another reason why people seek to study abroad is to attain part time
job opportunities even as they pursue their studies. This earns them incomes that they can save or spend for their personal development. People also
involve themselves in volunteer work as part of the process of learning new work relations, inter–cultural

Study Abroad Consultant Essay

  • 1. Study Abroad Consultant Essay Questions to Ask Your Study Abroad Consultant With the ever growing popularity of overseas education, international admissions experts have sprung up like tea stalls at every street corner. Some promise a red carpet walk to the admissions office, in exchange for your first born, while others let you easy on the price but offer very little in credible services. Take, for instance, MBA admissions consultants. More than any other overseas degree, MBA aspirants are the most likely to avail the conveniences of one of the many admission consultancies, in the business. In fact, nearly 45% MBA applications, in 2016, were counseled by one of the 300+ MBA consultancies. Often with a price tag same as that of a small sedan, and with the future of...show more content... Read how UCLA rejected an application for a plagiarized essay...ouch! In fact, admission consultancies have a body, the AIGAC, that works in a framework that sets clear boundaries between ethical and unethical practices. Read ethics in MBA admissions consulting. So, besides wearing a deerstalker hat, and smoking a calabash pipe (*cough* Sherlock *cough*), while searching for that genuine overseas education counsellor, you should ask some basic, yet pertinent, questions to all the consultancies you shortlist. You should be prepared for a prompt, and transparent, response, a lack of which, in itself, is a sign of opacity – a big no–no in your selection criteria. 10 Questions to ask your study abroad consultant – who, what, and how, are they? 1) What universities have your clients got into? There are some good uses for university rankings – all based on individual methodologies, carrying some amount of weight for the over all performance, degree specific output, quality of faculty, alumni, research funding, publications and campus life. Though not identical, these are roughly similar, with the good universities popping up with ranks that are plus/minus a few between the various ranking systems. • 2. Today I am a very successful student at Albany State University. I am a Presidential Scholarship recipient, holding a 3.6 Grade Point Average and a member of the Velma Fudge Grant Honors Program. As a second semester junior, I am proud to say I have remained on the Dean's List since I arrived on campus. Aside from my academics, I am very active on campus. As a Social Work major, I work diligently with the Students Social Work Association as an advocate for social policy and justice. Through this organization I have accumulated over three hundred hours of community outreach and volunteerism. In 2013, I served as the organization's queen, receiving the title Ms. SSWA. More recently I have become a Global Ambassador for the university's Study Abroad Global Program. Looking at my achievements, I would have never imagined myself as a prosperous college student. For most of my life I had been considered a statistic. My mother gave birth to me out of wedlock with a father I have never met and I am an African American minority who comes from poverty. These two aspects of my life analytically put me at a higher risk to conceive children during my adolescent years and to continue a cycle of poverty. Coming from a low income neighborhood that resided on the border of two local gangs, I believed these types of studies. I thought that my future would be bleak. I felt torn down by society's self–fulfilling prophecy of my outcomes. Things really hit home when I witnessed my cousin's Get more content on HelpWriting.net

This is a department grounded in catering to the needs of first–generation, minority students. My goal would be to assist in manifesting studying abroad as an attainable reality for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Every summer, Student Support Services offers a pre–collegiate program aiding in transition of incoming freshman, allowing the students a head start. Students enroll in six credits, live in dormitories on campus and are given an in depth preview of the opportunities college has to offer. Through their office, I will participate in this event so prospective students can hear my story. In addition, my educational journey will be publicized on social media a simple yet effective way to communicate my experience. • 6. Persuasive Essay For Study Abroad When in Rome! I chose to pick a study abroad program because I want to explore the world. I think it is a perfect idea to get a chance to travel to another country and earn college credits. I chose Rome because that is where I think I will be more comfortable to visit while in college. It is full of culture, fashion, great cuisines, art, and many more! It has always been on my bucket list to go to Italy. It is the perfect opportunity to visit the country especially while I am in college. I remember watching Lizzie McGuire as a child and she went to Rome and impersonated an Italian pop star, Isabella. She met this handsome man who took her to tour the city. Everyone eventually realized he was using her to ruin Isabella, but it was still a happy ending for Lizzie McGuire. I wanted that happy ending it looked like so much fun running around Rome. The expenses are outstanding for the trip, but at least I have an agenda all laid out by the program. For this study abroad, I could not find the exact requirements for attendance, but the minimum grade point average (GPA) for school activities are ranging from 2.5 to 4.0 GPA scale. The classes or study abroad will not be available if ten or more students are not enrolled. I would also recommend the students' classification to be a junior or higher because at this point they are older and responsible enough to take their classes seriously and make it an adventurous tour of learning and exploring. The program does recommend a letter Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I applied for this program because I wish to be a part of more than just classes at University. I wish to be a part of a team that encourages others and solves real life problems that every day people are facing about University, some of which I may have experienced, others I may not, either way I hope to help. During my final year of high school, I went to many open days and lectures and couldn't make up my mind of what I wanted to do, where I wanted to study and who I wanted to be. Throughout this time all I felt was pressure to finally make a decision, a decision that I thought would affect my future, but instead of deciding I became stressed, because Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Study Abroad Application Essay I discovered a love for art history my freshman year in an honors course with Dr. Esther Sparks. She was so passionate about art history and her students. Dr. Sparks painted such a vivid picture of the history behind the art, its importance and significance. When considering study abroad locations, because of the class I took on a whim and Dr. Sparks whom I adored, I knew I wanted to travel somewhere with rich history, culture, art, and architecture. On every street corner of Florence, Italy, stands some piece of history; therefore, I have chosen this location for my study abroad experience. I am completely awestruck by not only the beauty of these masterpieces, but by the stories they hold. I find myself daydreaming of the people who created these magnificent structures, who they were, and what they thought of themselves and their creations. My goal is to immerse myself in the culture and absorb as much knowledge and understanding of Italian history and traditions as I possibly can so that I may, in turn, become a more well rounded individual. • 11. Studying Abroad Essay Studying Abroad Have you ever thought about studying abroad? No, not just for a few months for your work–experience, but a whole year (or longer) as a transfer–student. Of course, you don't make such a decision from one minute to the next. It needs to be thought over well. Going to college is a big change in your life because it usually means living on your own for the first time, but as a foreign student it is even a bigger change because you are on your own in another country. This is often the greatest concern for students to go abroad: to leave everything behind. They have trouble leaving their family and the familiar environment. They think this price is just too high. But if they only knew how rich they will be when they come...show more content... There are several philosophies about international education. For instance, there is a belief, ironically arisen by the Second World War, that improved international understanding can prevent another war in the future. C. E. Speakman, the author of International Exchange in Education puts it this way: "if foreigners could only see what we are really like, they would not fight us." When you consider studying abroad, you might not think about preventing a war, but indeed, learning about other cultures can be very beneficial. Especially nowadays, when the media and Internet make it possible for people of different cultures to interact more intensely with one another, understanding of each other's culture is essential. M. A. Reischauer, professor of history at Harvard University and former U.S. ambassador to Japan, claims that cultural learning is even essential for human survival because "the world is becoming a single great global community." Yet, is cultural learning essential for a culture, like the one of the United States, that seems quite similar to the Dutch culture? Maybe you think you already know what the Americans are like. But based on what? The news reports about the president's daily pursuits you hear on the radio, the adventures of "Friends" you watch on television, and the Statue of Liberty you saw on your holiday trip to New York? This is not the real America. Isn't the Dutch culture more than Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 13. Abroad Program Application Essay The study Abroad Program is a unique opportunity for myself as a student at BMCC. As a Liberal Arts student and Italian Language learner, I believe and trust myself that I can make great use of this amazing language that I have put a lot of desire and commitment into. I am interested in this study opportunity because it will not only help me in my educational future and career in languages, but also it will connect me and help me embrace my Italian roots. Also learn about my culture and implement everything that I have learned in this two years in person, communicating and interacting with the people. Academically I believe that is very important for me to keep studying Italian, and there is no better way to do it but interacting and putting in practice what I have learn until know. Also not only speak the language but also understand the history of my culture, seeing in person, all of the historical places that we have spoken of during class time and learning more deep into it. • 14. Why Students Should Study Abroad Essay Education gives the ability and flexibility to engage in many opportunities during life. Peter Gray, a research professor and an author for Psychology Today, shares that from the beginning, education was given to children through exploring and learning from one's own mistakes. Society today sets apart buildings, schools, and universities giving a more in depth education to children and adults instead of allowing them to learn from them and nature. Today, the many different methods of educating students include, classroomlearning, homeschooling, online learning, and studying abroad. Each method uniquely shapes and teaches students differently. Studying abroad and classroom learning, especially in America, hold factors proving beneficial to those pursuing their education. One reason why students should study abroad is because of academic opportunities the experience provides. Studying abroad allows them to explore and learn from themselves; in addition to, they also learn in a traditional classroom environment. The Texas A&M Univeristy of Kingsville article, "Reasons to study abroad," acknowledges that going overseas while unfamiliar with a country 's location, culture, and language, forces the overseas learner to adapt to their environment. This helps the learner become more independent and develop better language skills. Many employers, universities, and colleges look for these attributes when individuals apply. Colleges notice the transcripts of applicants understanding Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Persuasive Essay For Study Abroad Studying abroad as a college student may be one of the most sporadic and fruitful opportunities they may ever come across. Opportunities don't always arise as timely as some may want, so when they do, the wise thing to do would be to seize it. In hopes to attract international students, the Chinese government is offering to fund for their travel abroad program. Luckily, Bowie is one of the many recipients of the funding, and as a Bowie State student, this is an opportunity I can afford to miss out on. As a prospective study abroad student, I am excited to gain knowledge for another culture, establish valuable connections and networks, and travel to somewhere I've never been. Going to another country can be an exhilarating experience. From learning a new language to meeting new people, studying abroad can introduce the participant to an entirely new place and culture. During my stay in Harbin I hope to learn the basic fundamentals of Mandarin, I would like to learn how to cook some traditional dishes and learn more about Chinese art. Although I will be taking courses to advance through college, I will also be able to take cultural courses offered by Heilongjiang University. One of the most important courses I will take up while in China will be Chinese courses. Learning Chinese will not only broaden my horizons culturally, it will also help me boost in my career.
