anybody will be in just to make things interesting.
They make it so audience can relate.

to reality.
Soaps usually relate through characters and
places so the viewer can feel familiar.
For example the queen victoria pub in
Eastenders and the hospital in Holby City.

Narratives
Narratives are basically the storyline of soap
operas.
The narratives of a soap opera are very obvious
and continuous.
They usually involve villains hero’s and
dilemmas.
