 The Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 global
goals set by the United Nations in 2015. The United Nation aims to
achieve these goals by the years 2030.
 Our Main Focus is on Goal 7 & Goal 9 :

Why Sustainable developmental goals?
 The United Nations Sustainable developmental goals were
created by the united nations in 2015 with an aim to achieve a
good social environment for coming generations of human beings
as a result of which these goals have now been adopted by :
1. World Bank
2. International Monetary Fund
3. World Economic Forum
4. Fortune 500 companies
 Which include companies like :
1. Tesla
2. Hyperloop
3. Solar City
4. Walmart
 UN Sustainable Developmental Goals enable the world to become
a better place be creating a more sustainable and social
environment in the coming future.
 The main aim of these goals is to create balance in the social
environment by upgrading the resources in the society that they
have into better one.
 Through constant innovation and new infrastructure being
developed in various countries like Ethiopia, Ghana, Gabon and
India, these countries are developing more socially by accepting
new technologies and more efficient and better ways to create a
social environment.
 The world today is moving towards clean and more affordable
sources of energy, Solar Energy today is the biggest source of
Clean, Affordable and more sustainable energy being produced in
the environment today.
 Solar Energy has created a big Social change in the environment
by being easily available at cheaper costs and governments of
various countries have given subsidies to people who install solar
energy related products.

Research Methodology
 The project covers all major areas as to what United Nations
Sustainable goals are all about and how can they bring social
change in the Human Society.
 Each and every data in the project has been put up be special
personalized research and with each and every fact being genuine
and up to the point and as per the requirement.
 The data has been taken from secondary sources like from
company’s websites, news channels, and social media platforms
like YouTube.
 The United Nation Sustainable goals have been very helpful in
completing this project as it being the base of the projects covers
all the important aspects for the Human Society.

Germany going Green on Solar Energy
 Germany has been a totally different country when it comes to
adopting new technology, In Germany 10% of the power is being
generated itself by the residents of the country through the use of
solar technology above the roofs of the German houses.
 The Government of Germany had to literally payback its residents
for the excess electricity being generated by them as a result
more clean and green energy being generated by the households
of the country has benefited the country to reduce carbon
footprints and carbon emission by a great extent.
 The Social Impact of this case is that reduction in carbon emission
has resulted into increase in use of more sustainable and reliable
sources energy forms which will create a socially more stable
environment for coming generations.
 Germany aims to increase this energy target from 10% to 30% by
the end of year 2025 and 80% by the year 2050 so that more and
more energy produced is clean and green.

Tesla an Electric Car Company
 Tesla is an electric car company based in Paulo Alto, California,
USA. The company specializes in electric vehicles, energy storage
devices and solar panels.
 Tesla is one of those companies which believes in creating
Sustainable Development through creating products that benefit
the society as a whole.
 Tesla’s Biggest Success is achieved through the sales of its electric
cars. In the year of 2017 itself Tesla sold more than 101,031
Electric cars.
 Countries like USA, China, UK, European countries are all
considering Gasoline cars obsolete and considering electric cars as
the new future of the technological change.
 Tesla with the creation of electric cars has helped in developing a
social environment in almost all the countries wherever the cars
are sold as it eliminates the use of oil in functioning of the vehicle,
creating a pollution free environment.
 The Car batteries are chargeable and have a long range of
traveling mostly varying from 400kms to 500kms in a single full
electric charge.

Solar City’s Electric Home Project
 Solar City is a subsidiary company of Tesla Motors, solar city aims
to power every home with Solar Electric power though the use of
Solar Panels.
 Solar Panels produce renewable clean energy while securing low
utility rates and help in creating a more sustainable and a social
environment for every household using this technology.
 Solar Electricity has created a greater social impact on the
environment by reducing carbon emission to a great extent, not
only that its availability is also in abundance and can be imported
and used from various countries.
 Solar City has helped many households convert from regular
electric line to Solar Electric line with the simple innovation of
solar tiles which help in generate solar electricity with the help of
direct sunlight.
 Solar City aims to expand in all major countries where there is
sunlight in abundance, as a result creating a greater social impact
on the environment with replacing coal generated electricity with
naturally generated electricity with sunlight being the natural
source.

Hyperloop’s New Transportation Technology
 Hyperloop is the new form of ground transport currently being
developed by Virgin Hyperloop and SpaceX, it could see
passengers travelling at a speed of 1080 km per hour in floating
pods in low pressure tubes.
 Hyperloop has been said to be a self sustaining project that will
make travel more convenient and easy for passengers travelling
between 2 cities.
 As people will be travelling in the pods in low pressure tubes the
technology itself will be producing electricity of its own to power
the project.
 Hyperloop is said to create a greater social impact on the
environment as it will be a self sustaining technology and will be
self powered again reducing the carbon footprints up to a great
extent and reduction in environmental waste.
 The Technology is about to make its first official launch by 2022 in
the Middle East.

Walmart’s Reusable Plastic Bag
 Walmart which is one of USA’s biggest departmental store chains
announced on February 9 2018 that it will no longer be using
plastic bags, instead will be using high quality no plastic re usable
bags.
 These bags have reduced the consumption of plastic bags to a
greater extent and have reduced the carbon footprints as these
bags are recyclable and reusable.
 Almost 20% of the daily use shopping is done from walmart today
and majority of the customers were using plastic bags of low
quality as a result of which too much of plastic waste was being
piled up in the country.
 A small initiative by the company has reduces the plastic waste to
a great extent and in turn helped the environment become
cleaner and greener.
 Small efforts by big organization have created a massive change in
the Social Environment and the Walmart’s case is one such
example.

Irish Food Exports Vegetarian Meat Products
 Irish Food & Drink Exports is Irelands biggest food exporting
company with an annual sales of over US$15 Billion, they mainly
deal in Non Vegetarian Frozen Foods like Beef, Pig Meat, Chicken
& various other Sea Foods.
 Recently the company took a great Pivot in their Business Strategy
by reducing the consumption of Meat and coming up with more
alternatives of meat.
 The company came out with its own Vegetarian Meat products
recently in January 2018 and the company aims to achieve this
target of increasing sales of this product by 2022.
 Irish Food Exports believes that killing animals and then
consuming them creates a great harm to the Social Environment
so the company come out with Vegetarian Meat products as an
alternative to Meat which is much more healthy in personal
consumption and also protects the Social Environment for a good
cause.

 From where I think that United Nation’s sustainable
developmental plan has been very useful to all the companies in
the 20th
Century and many new emerging companies have used it
as their growth parameter and are growing with its objective in
mind.
 United Nations Sustainable Developmental Plan’s are not only
creating a big Social impact for the Human Society but are also
bringing in a big change in the society with full Innovation and
Infrastructure accessible for all.
 All Great world leaders at World Economic Forum are also trying
to set up goals similar to that of UN’s SDG’s.
 A big change in Human Society can be made by a great product
innovation that helps people change their lifestyle and make them
more productive, that’s what the United Nations is all about,
that’s what the United Nations for, let’s see how they do.
Siddhant’s Analysis
 The Sustainable developmental goals are a collection of 17 global

 According to me, to maintain the social environment in the world
is the main motto/aim of the sustainable development. It has
been tried by many of the companies also. Above also examples
like Tesla's electric car, solar city's home project, Walmart's
reusable plastic bags etc are mentioned. And by creating an
sustainable product it would be beneficial to the world only.
 Even Irish Food exports has been growing at a very good pace by
creating innovative food products for its customers and not kill
animals for their benefit of earning more profit.
 Slowly the sustainable development is changing the world and in
the future it will be helpful to us only.

 From the above 6 examples we came to know how the world and
the human society is changing in order to create a Sustainable and

 From adoption of Renewable Energy as an energy source to
power houses to travelling in new means of transportation to
eating healthy food without killing our natural animals or wildlife.
 Companies like Tesla & SpaceX and Hyperloop have a great future
as they are constantly working towards the growth of a better
human society by creating Sustainable products and which reduce
pollution and work on cleaner and greener means of
transportation.
 Companies like Solar City and Walmart have helped in the growth
of human society by developing a very basic products and
solutions that we need in our day to day energy requirements.
 All the above mentioned examples are a changing the world to
become a better place by Sustainable Development and Social
