2. SECTOR INFORMATION
 The Asset Management Industry in India is
among the fastest growing in the world.
 At the end of April 2017, the assets under
management of the mutual fund industry
stood at US$ 299.04 billion.
 Inflows in India's mutual fund schemes via
the Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) route
rose 44% year-on-year to reach a record
high of ₹4,584 crore (US$ 711.17 million)
in May 2017.

3. MARKET SIZE
 Total Asset Under Management(AUM) increased 40% year-on-year to hit a record ₹23lakh crore (US$ 358.78
billion) at the end of November 2017.
 At the same time the number of Mutual fund equity portfolios reached a record high of 46.63 million, of which
7.6 million portfolios were added in 2017 till November.
 The total value of M&A in India rose 53.3% year-on-year to US$ 77.6 billion in 2017 from US$ 50.6 billion in
the preceding year.
 A total of 153 Initial Public Offers (IPOs) were issued in the Indian stock markets in 2017, which raised a total
of US$ 11.6 billion.
 The Association of Mutual Funds in India(AMFI) is targeting nearly five fold growth AUM to ₹95 lakh crore
(US$ 1.47 trillion) and a more than three times growth in investor accounts to 130 million by 2025.
 India's mobile wallet industry is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 150% to reach US$ 4.4 billion by 2022 while
mobile wallet transactions to touch ₹32 trillion (USD $ 492.6 billion) by 2022.
