Deciding between colleges is an exciting time and youwant to take your campus visits seriously, so they can help you make your decision.When you start looking at college campuses, you should understand how you are going to reallyget a feel for the school. Each campus is unique and your experiences on each one will differ. Take a Tour So, how do you decide which campus is the best one for your personality? Start by taking the official tour of the college to make sure that you can learn as much as possible about the campus and the history of the school that you are looking through. Take time to listen to the individual that is giving a tour and you want to make sure that you are taking notes. Although it may seem cliché, try to take notes about what you feel and what you do and do not like about the campus rather than the facts that the tour guide gives. Talk to the tour guide about visiting the buildings that you would be studying in if you go into a specific program. This way, you can get a feel for the areas that you would be spending the majority of your time if you choose to attend that specific college.Meet With FacultyAfter you have taken the official tour, you may want tomeet with a professor within the field that you areinterested in. Talk about the classes that you would takeand get a feel for the department that you would beworking in.As you are getting to know the professor, you may wantto attend one of his or her classes.
