1. Pearson Campus Ambassador Position Description
Program Vision
The Pearson Campus Ambassador (PCA) program directly supports the goals and vision of Pearson
Education by helping students succeed academically and get the most from their educational materials.
Purpose
Pearson Campus Ambassadors across the U.S. act as the campus liaison between Pearson sales
representatives, marketing managers, editors and the student body. They serve as advocates to help
Pearson better meet students' educational needs and play a vital role in providing a student voice to
faculty and Pearson professionals. Pearson Campus Ambassadors help students get the most out of their
educational materials and succeed.
Reports to
PCA Regional Coordinator, Student Program Manager and Pearson staff
Roles & Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Visit classrooms and conduct presentations on Pearson technology.
Collaborate with instructors and Pearson professionals in helping students use Pearson
educational resources.
Set-up and facilitate student and/or faculty focus groups.
Organize outreach events to help your peers use their educational materials.
Work with professionals at Pearson to promote current products and shape future ones.
Communicate students’ experiences with our products on your campus through monthly reports.
Participate in conference calls, team trainings, and regularly scheduled team meetings

Community minded: strong desire to work as a team to support student success
Excellent written and oral communication skills:
High achievement: recognition for excellence in a college and work environment
Self-motivated and proactive: ability to create and manage independent projects
Technological proficiency: working knowledge of the internet and basic software applications and
programs
Eligibility
Students must be enrolled at a college or university in the U.S.
If hired, students must be able to provide documentation regarding eligibility to work in the United
States.
First, second, and third-year undergraduates of any major may apply.
Relatives of Pearson employees are not eligible to apply.
Commitment to work for the 2010-2011 academic year
Compensation
$10/hr

Average 1 – 5 hours per week
