My Favorite Hobby Of Reading
I am an avid reader and reading has been my favorite hobby for a great deal of my life. This is probably because my parents value literacy and they
have almost always encouraged me to read. The exceptions being when I am supposed to be doing something else, such as completing homework
or sleeping. When I was young, they read all sorts of picture books to me, especially those by Dr. Seuss and Eric Carle. When my father read Green
Eggs and Ham to me, he altered the words when he read it to me, replacing "I do not like that Sam–I–am" with "I do love that Sam–I–am." Later, when
I was in first grade, I read Magic Tree House #1: Dinosaurs Before Dark while on an indoor break. I found it on a bookshelf and decided to read it,
which took me a while since it was the first non–picture book that I had read on my own. But I eventually managed to finish it and I felt really proud
of myself. I enjoyed the book and the magic involved fascinated me. I later read a couple more Magic Tree House books from the shelf and asked my
parents to get the first twenty–eight when we saw them on sale at BJs (the series started in 1992 and they were selling fourteen–book boxed sets). The

My Favorite Hobby
Since being a child, reading used to be my favorite hobby. I would immerse myself in fiction and dive into the fantasy world. I loved the idea of
getting lost in a story and forgetting all my troubles. I would read almost any book that I picked up. My favorite genres included fiction, comedy,
and adventure. I found so much pleasure from reading and alienating myself from the rest of the world for a certain period of time. My parents would
always read me a story before going to bed every night, this just grew my interest for reading even more.
Like most people, my first words were as simple as "daddy or mommy". Before I started school, I would always have PBS Kids blasted on my tv to
keep me entertained. I loved to sing along with the cartoon characters such as Barney ..... After watching all of these so called educational shows, I
started developing my own sentences, and started being able to have actual conversations with my other family members.
As a child, my dream job was to become a children's author. I would write and illustrate my own stories as a kid. I remember stealing paper from my
dad's office. Then I would take out my coloring pencils and other art utensils, and start writing whatever came to my mind. I would find inspiration
from other stories I've read in the past and I would add a bit of my imagination as well. After creating these stories I would read them to my younger
cousins who didn't know how to read at the time.

One Direction was one of my favorite Boy Bands, but they took a break and now I focus myself more on bands. I'm a fangirl, which means I

My Hobbies In My Life
I have many hobbies that I fill my time with. I enjoy reading. Ever since I was little my dad has called me a "voracious reader". I am open to
reading any kind of book, but I especially love realistic fiction, action adventure, and nonfiction. I also love playing sports. I did track for one year,
softball for two years, gymnastics for three years, basketball for five years, and soccer my whole life as well as camps for tennis and swim. I find
that playing sports has taught me many important skills including teamwork and reaching out to others as I've played with new people. These sports
have also taught me the importance of staying healthy and fit. One of my other hobbies is music. I love music and find myself dabbling in piano and
guitar whenever I have free time. I also play the trumpet and sing in my church choir. Lastly, I love baking and cooking. Although to my parents
dismay sometimes (because they complain I'm making them fat) I always find myself gravitating to the kitchen and have acquired quite the collection

I have always been a visual learner. That is why I am great at Math: Teachers usually work with the student, writing the problems on the board and
solving them. It is the opposite for English: English teachers do not give examples of how to write or put ideas together. Watching someone do
something is easier for me. That is how I learned to cook at such a young age.
As a child, my parents never physically taught me how to cook. I would watch my Mom and Dad cook dishes that are native to them. I would watch
my Dad make Adobo, filling the air with a lovely smell of salt and vinegar. I would watch my Mom make Pozole, moving in the kitchen like Taz, never

how to cook Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish, American, and much more. I learned to cook thesefood types by watching the
Food Network channel. Instead of being a normal child, watching cartoons when they got home and on the weekends, I would watch the Food

I have many hobbies but my favorite has to be running. There are numerous reasons to run like the health benefits you gain from it but I only run for
one sole purpose. When most people think of meditating, an image of someone sitting down with their legs crossed with their eyes closed as they hum

This guy was running at a slightly fast pace than I was and being the competitive runner I am, I was making sure I was behind him just enough to
later overtake him when the time is right. Because he was running at a faster pace, I was staring at his feet and my legs automatically copied his
without me knowing. I think I spent the majority of the run in a trance state just me staring at his feet which felt like ages when in reality it was
only 2 minutes. After overtaking him though, I started thinking about how crazy the human body is and again my body went into autopilot and
my mind just started running through random scenarios that will never occur in real life and countless of retarded ideas like why do people color
the sun yellow when if you stare at it it's a giant white ball when you stare at it. I wasn't the first in my family to love running either. My mom used
to be a track star when she was around my age in Mexico where she would participate in Mexico's cities and regional championships. She was a

My favorite hobby is to watch movies, and the Oscars is my favorite award show. The formal name for the show is the Academy Awards. The first
award ceremony was in 1929, and this year marked the 88th presentation. During the show different people get nominated for certain categories. These
categories include, but are not limited to: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Best Actress in a Leading Role. One of my
favorite aspects of the show is that it recognizes a lot of different parts of the movie; actors get a lot of credit in the public, but the Oscars recognizes
not only the actors but the directors, producers, technicians, and writers. It confirms the real talent of the people in Hollywood. This year was when I
realized the Oscars may not be as diverse as I originally thought it was.
Chris Rock was the host for the 2016 Oscar's Award show, and he cracked jokes of Hollywood being racist. At first it was funny, until he kept going
and then I started to realize that there was truth behind his jokes. The joke that struck me the most was when Rock stated "..if you want black

In the summer it is about 80o and sunny and then at night it gets down to about the 50s or 60s. In the winter it is about the same but at night it get
down to about the 40s and 50s.
One fun thing that I like about San Diego is that it is really close to the ocean and also pretty close to some really tall mountains. Then on a weekend
we can go to the beach for half of the day and then drive two hours and go snow skiing on the mountains. I also like the fact that it is perfect weather
all year around so then that means that I can play baseball anytime I want. Lastly it is a very very good place to explore and go camping in the national
parks and all of the mountains.
Some of the things that I care about in San Diego is that I am moving there this summer. There is also always nice people and the land is really pretty.

In order to be able to call something a hobby, I must enjoy doing it, and be able to do it for years. At eighteen years old, fitting my experiences and
activities into those two categories is quite difficult. My lack of experience in life gives me a limited view, but the hobbies that I do enjoy, I take

My Favorite Trip
Florida is a state that is very special to me. I have always enjoyed my many visits, but one trip in particular stands out as my favorite. Ever since I
was ten years old, I have enjoyed SCUBA diving with my family. We have done it many times, and it is one of my favorite hobbies. In the Summer of

Finding time to complete all the activities I want to in a given day can be a challenge. I try to center my day around school first and foremost, and
then see what additional work I can accomplish. The most basic, essential, as well as challenging activity I undertake is my academic work. Every
day I wake up around 9 a.m. and begin my coursework after having breakfast and coffee. Because all of this takes place online, I open my laptop
and listen to music to help keep my mind from wandering while I work. Although there are different breaks such as tea and lunch breaks, it can
consume over half of the day. Away from my school life, family life generally comes second. I am expected to spend dinner with my parents most

Do you want to know one of my favorite pastimes? I love listening to music. It is a way for an artist to communicate a story or a message to their
audience to beats and rhythms. I love the artist dodie. She is small artist that conveys her struggles with navigating love while also struggling with
depersonalization and depression. When I listen to her songs, I can feel the emotion in them and to me, that is one of the most magical ways to

I was just a young lad of 22 when I drank my first sips. Oh, My Gosh, it was so good; I ended up so bombed that I spent the night next to a
porcelain God. I swore I would never drink that stuff ever again. Who would have known that many years later that boozy concoction called "Hard
Cider" would become the new and trendy drink? It is without a doubt, the Nectar of the Gods. My favorite hobby is micro brewing beer. I have been
producing craft beer for five years now. Half of my two –car garage is in reality, a kitchen with dozens of pots, pan, tanks, fermentation chambers and
burners, all sorts of wicked machinery staged about the place to produce fermented beverages. I recently read in some beer journals that cider is
making a comeback in the craft brewing market. The idea of producing this sweet drink motivated me to try my own recipe. After all, how could I
go wrong since I had the experience brewing beer? So I decided, without much experience, to give it a shot. I rounded up the ingredients; three
kinds of apple juice, lots of sugar, and some Champagne Yeast. I heated the juice into a stockpot to kill any germs or other nasties that may be in it.
After it cooled. I added a ton of brown sugar and poured into the yeast. I thought, what could go wrong; this stuff looks and smells amazing. I put the

This is one of my most memorable experiences because we were just hauling fish after fish into the boat when we hit a shoal of mackerel off a ship
wreck. After almost filling a whole bin bag with fish, we called it a day, just as a pod of dolphin appeared. My auntie, who lives in Cornwall, was
probably eating fish for weeks after we brought back that many.
Every year now, I go fishing down in Cornwall either in my uncle's boat, or just off the shoreline. To my mind, each and every time I go fishing is

also quite surprises me; I have caught everything from dogfish to cuttlefish, conger eels to sea gulls – but that's another story, and of course, every

Reading And Writing : My Favorite Skills
Over the years that I have been in school, reading and writing have not been my favorite skills. Although recently I have become a very good
reader and a much better writer than I was before. There are certain branches of writing that I excel at, like argumentative or persuasive, which I
enjoy because I love telling people that they're wrong and explaining why they should do things. However, I'm not as great at say, coming up with a
story in which I have to make up characters and a plot. In reading, I try to get and read books that I'm interested in, but when they are boring books
and topics or stories that don't interest me, I struggle to find a drive to read whatever it is. One thing that I take pride of in my writing is my vast
vocabulary, but it wasn't always like that. Previously in elementary school, I wrote run on sentences which would sometimes get to 30 words with no
commas. But obviously that changed as I proceeded into middle school, and one of the main reasons of that was Mrs.Schwerin's class. In her class was
really when I understood sentence structure, the use of commas, and when certain marks are appropriate or not. Another thing that makes my writing
better is my organization. I always have different topics in their own paragraphs and rarely will they leak into each other. Also, if i'm making a
narrative, the story will progress nicely and have good momentum. Those parts of my writing are good assets, but like everyone I do have my
