Persuasive Essay On How To Stop Fear
How to Stop Living in Fear
Are you leading a less than full life due to fear? Gripping panic or fear can make you feel powerless to overcoming it, but you can. The first step is
to learn how to cope with fear without avoiding it or running away. Then, you must examine your fear to see it for what it is, so you can finally break
free.
===Steps===
===Coping with Fear in the Moment===
#Breathe deeply to quell anxiety. If fear has you temporarily paralyzed, activate your body's natural stress response with deep breathing. Draw in air
from your nose for about 4 counts. Hold the breath briefly. Then, exhale from your mouth for about 8 counts. (–– removed HTML ––) https:/

#*Repeat this deep breathing exercise for as many cycles as you need to feel calm.
#Ground yourself if you lose touch with reality. Fear can make you feel out of touch with the here and now. Ground yourself in the present by
reconnecting with your 5 senses. Look around you and find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you
can taste. (–– removed HTML ––) https://www.theodysseyonline.com/the–dangers–high–functioning–depression–and–anxiety (–– removed HTML ––)
#Ask friends and family for support. Reach out to your loved ones when you are afraid. Talk to them about what you are thinking or feeling. Ask them
to help distract you from your fear. Or, make a practical request. (–– removed HTML ––) https://www.calmclinic.com/anxiety/symptoms/fear (––

#*You might say something like, "I'm afraid to sleep here alone. Will you stay with me?"
#Repeat a mantra to remind yourself you're safe and capable. Use a positive affirmation to empower yourself when fear happens. You might repeat
statements like, "You're perfectly safe at home" or "This, too, shall pass" to remind yourself you can get through anything. (–– removed HTML ––)

Informative Essay On Stress
Stress is quite prevalent today. Although you may feel like you're alone when the feeling of panic strikes, rest assured that this isn't true. According to
the American Psychological Association, stress is so prevalent today that it's becoming a public health crisis. In fact, most Americans suffer from a
moderate to a high amount of stress daily. This is mainly caused by worrying about things like finances, work, and the state of the economy. When
you're concerned about your health, you'll understand that stress isn't something you want to deal with over the long–term. It has you living in a
continuous stress of heightened awareness that isn't good for your heart or blood pressure. For this reason, you really need to find healthy ways of
combatting the stress you face in your life. Take Time for Self Care Self–care is the number one best way to destress today. There are many great ways
you can do this, including: Take time to meditate or do yoga. Doing so changes your brain's neural pathways so you're more resilient to stress.
This is especially true when you focus on a positive mantra, such as "I love myself." Take some time to get together with your friends and do
something fun. Share with them what's going on in your life. This gives you a new perspective on your issues too. When you only have 10 minutes
to decompress, put a warm heat wrap around your neck and shoulders, close your eyes, and relax. Once you remove the wrap, try rolling a massager
over your back and feel your tension melt away. Head to the gym daily. While this may seem like a lot, but Fitness Magazine says you should do 30
minutes of cardio exercise every day. This includes anything that raises your heart rate, including running, brisk walking, swimming, and biking. You
should also do strength training at least twice a week such as squats, push–ups, lunges, weight training, planks, and jumping jacks. These release
feel–good chemicals in your brain that help you deal with stress. When you don't have time for these things, park further from a store, take the steps
instead of the elevator, or go for a short walk. 5 Minutes to Decompress Stop saying you're stressed because you don't have enough time to decompress.

Persuasive Essay
"Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will
be choosing topics," announced Mr. Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously groaned at the
prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give
examples of topics we could choose and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already rushing to tell
the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of
anything and the teacher was slowly making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I have always
thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly
dragged myself over to his desk. Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. "What is your topic Cindy?" As usual in such desperate times,
my mind turned to food. "Waffles are better than pancakes." I figured that a waffle was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. "Hmm.
Excellent topic. I look forward to your essay!" I survived to live yet another day. As I walked to lunch, I went around and asked everyone the age old
question: "Do you like

Persuasive Essay On College Education
College education will serve as a basis for someone's lifestyle if they work for it. This will open up doors and release opportunities for individuals
that want it. College graduates will gain more intelligence than those that have only graduated high school. This type of constructionism will only work
if students have a motive to be successful. The price of a four–year degree is quite valuable. College graduates have been proven to gain more money,
learn an abundance of skills, and embrace diversity.
To begin, college education has benefits that could go on forever. One of those advantages is the amount of money college graduates earn. In the
article called "Is College Worth It? Clearly, New Data Say," by David Leonhardt, it describes the outcomes of having a degree and the assistance
behind that. The future of a human being depends on the financial support. As mentioned in the text, "The pay gap between college graduates and
everyone else reached a record high last year," (1). When jobs look at someone, it will become dependent upon past achievements or downfalls.
People will accept a person with a four–year degree over someone without college experience. Individuals that gain more money, were most likely
taught in college.
In opposition, student debt from college can create long years of struggling issues. Students may feel like this is a disadvantage. According to the
article, it mentions, "Among four–year college graduates who took out loans, average debt is about

Communication Research Methods
Donald Trump has suggested that a contest should be held as to which television network covers him in the most "dishonest, corrupt and or/distorted"
way, as he has again labeled many of the outlets "fake news." It is one of some attacks by the president against the press coverage he receives, with the
most vitriolic coming back in August when he referred the assembled journalists as "truly dishonest" and "sick people."Mr. Trump also used the term
"your favorite president," a moniker he has used recently – that is despite his approval ratings telling a different story."
Literature Review The press is basic to vote based system, and popularity based race is comprehensibly deprived of the press. An open and sensible
contest is not only about the prospect of voting and the culture the way to make a selection, yet around a hands–on process where the electorates
participate in the open verbal confrontation and provide adequate information on the meetings, approaches, competitors and the verdict process on the
situation with a precise aim of settling on sophisticated choices. Besides, the press drives around as a critical watch to popularity founded decisions,
defending the frankness in the procedure.
During the 2005 gathering to commemorate World Press Freedom Day worldwide, an affirmation was formed which concentrated on "independent and
mixed press are rudimentary for assuring forthrightness,

Persuasive Essay On The Importance Of Education
A high–quality and accessible education is important for all children. Through education, children gain knowledge and skills that can lead to greater
opportunities and upward mobility later in life. Education has [Passive] long enabled people to go further than they ever thought possible; to explore
new ideas and to achieve new goals. Fostering knowledge and creativity enables children to forge their own paths in life. As an educator, it is my
greatest desire to guide children on their educational journeys in a meaningful way. I hope to provide the children in my classroom an accessible,
inclusive and resource rich learning environment.

Inclusion
A classroom where everyone has access, is not necessarily a classroom where everyone feels included. In order to create an inclusive environment, the
teacher should assure that all students feel included and understood. Diversity should be valued in the classroom and this starts with the attitude of the
teacher. When students come from a different backgrounds, the teacher should learn about their cultures and integrate that knowledge into the learning
environment. The teacher should also strive to foster acceptance and value in classroom diversity among students.
Resources
Students shouldn't suffer because they are unable to afford basic resources needed for school. If a parent is unable to provide the student with what they
need, I would have available extra supplies including, notebooks, binders, and pens on hand for student use. Additionally, I think it's important to
acknowledge that sometimes the resources students are lacking stretch beyond the walls of the classroom. The problem might be as simple as not
getting breakfast in the morning, or as complicated as not having a place to live. Obviously, as teachers we probably have the ability to fix the first one
(free school breakfast application help), but not the later. We can, however, be empathetic to a student's situation and treat them with understanding
instead of frustration.
Future Classroom
My goal is to make my classroom a learning environment where all students can be

Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection
Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The
feedback I received was that my essay needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to
create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical
thinking to help work through the weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because
they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do
not believe my essay would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my
argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not
necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the
outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why
you are arguing your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague.
I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my
essay and this helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This
question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the
issue was more clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the
main elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your
readers can have a full understanding of your

An Act of Kindness: A Persuasive Essay
An Act of Kindness
(Order #A2071175) There is a commercial on television, I forget what for, where one person performs a small act of kindness towards another,
followed by that person helping someone else, and so on. The message here is that each act of kindness has a ripple effect throughout society and
can effect people who we do not even know exist. There is also a secondary lesson of this commercial: eventually the acts of kindness return to the
original person, indicating that kindness can be circular and if we want to live in a society where people do nice things for one another, then it begins
and ends with us. This commercial indicates that acts of kindness are a way to improve society and an individual's overall life. With this is mind, I would
like to convey an example of how I have been able to do my part in the overall circle of kindness by aiding a stranger who's car battery had died and
needed a jump. It began on my way home one day when I was forced to stop for gas. At the gas station I was minding my own business when a
stranger approached me and asked if I had a set of jumper cables and if I could give him a jump. As a teenager being approached by a grown man
asking for help, thoughts of being kidnapped, tortured and murdered filled my imagination. As he approached, my immediate reaction was to hope he
would leave me alone and continue walking, but he did not. Instead he came straight up to me and asked for my help. I wanted to say that I did not

Persuasive Essay Voting
Voting for something or for someone in a big or small range cannot only affect you but, also other in a huge scale, even the whole country or world.
Although people take it for granted, voting is a system, whose certain leaders and decisions and decided based on the population choice. However in
some cases this doesn't apply such as in the electoral college, and therefore not voting or making the wrong choice within the imprecise popular votes
and electoral vote ratio, it can actually make a big difference in many aspects. So not a single system is perfect with a voting candidate decision
system, it will sometimes, or even always fail. Therefore voting not only involves the dragging numbers to a point where a candidate can win even if
most population hasn't voted or is against it, but also the self decision on which how those numbers would drag, towards whom and the aftermath of
your single vote, especially in the USA voting system the electoral college.
The Electoral College is the current voting system of the USA to choose the president and the vice president. However the winner is not decided by
the popular vote, but the electoral vote, which are the state representatives, 100 senators, two per state and 435 representatives and three electors,
making about 538 of the votes, so therefore, the popular votes then turn into electoral votes. However with this system, the numbers aren't relay derived
in terms of the popular vote, although if a state doesn't give to a

Persuasive Essay On Save Water
Water is something no one can live without. In fact, human bodies are about sixty–five percent water. Therefore, water conservation is a project
everyone should be willing to participate in. Specifically, in the Logan, Utah area, water conservation is an important topic, as the citizens use water
every day. "In an interview with The Herald Journal, USU sociology professor Douglas Jackson–Smith said the city's water concerns have the potential
to increase, based on Logan's anticipated population growth by 2050" (Peikes). There is a growing concern about the amount of water the city will
have or be able to produce for the growing population. Although it is important that each citizen is staying hydrated and being hygienic, people do
not need to use so much water in doing so. Many people have cut back on watering their lawns, or started to take shorter showers, but there are more
options to choose from and ways to conserve water. This problem is solvable, if only more people would participate and take steps to conserve water.
First, the citizens of Logan, Utah should act in conserving the water supply in Logan for now and for the future. The actions they can take are simple,
and come down to the basic rule "stop using so much/ wasting water". Each individual resident can take steps to conserve water within their homes.
That is usually the easy part. The hard part about conserving water is getting businesses and the city itself to conserve water. Businesses waste a

Persuasive Essay About My Favorite Movie
For as long as I can remember the Adventures of the Wilderness Family has been my favorite movie. I was fascinated by how close to nature Pat,
Skip, Jenny, and Toby were and particularly how close to wildlife they were. Every time I watched that movie I was just in awe of how beautiful it
was and how they could sustain themselves and persevere through anything including multiple animal attacks. When I was a kid I always imagined
running free in a field filled with flowers and being so close to nature and feeling free to explore my own little world. I have watched this movie
countless times and have purposely never examined any faults the movie might have because I enjoyed it exactly the way it was. I never looked at it

Whenever a character got attacked they seemed to take it really lightly, when realistically that is life–threatening. Childhood me really appreciated this
movie for the kind of life I hoped to live when I got older. As a kid I would spend a lot of time by the pond outside my dad's house and exploring
the woods and backyard with my brothers and my Dad and watching this movie made me look toward the possibility of one day living a life that
ultimately felt free from my parents' issues and social conflicts and allowed me to find the heart and soul of who I am and depend on myself as I
felt in a way I always had. As a kid I felt like the odd duck out sometimes and felt trapped between my parents as I still do today, so moving to a
place like Gunnison National Forest seemed like the ultimate sense of freedom to me. I wasn't looking for a place where I felt like I was free from
all of the issues I had to deal with growing up and I could thrive as an individual without having to worry about having the coolest new things that my
elementary peers had before it was uncool or eventually about having the latest Apple products or designer handbags. A lesson this movie really pushes
to heart on its viewers is the importance of reducing materialistic values. During the time that this movie was produced America started becoming more
urban and building new cities. The start of the movie takes

Persuasive Essay On Climate Change
Climate Change
Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution,
weather, and temperature changes, which will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help; people are
trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can
put an end to this problem due to several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change comes from our
human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on
the earth.
Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years. Changes that can happen in the environment could
be how cold is the temperature today, how much sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets
affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When that happens the environment will change the
"impacts on human systems which involve food production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Different
type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction
threats" (Greenpeace International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to different places in the world
and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1). These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to
know when the problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and it will harm the polar bears, seals,
and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing
process of the food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun shining towards me.

Persuasive Essays : Persuasive Essay
When I began this class, I loved to write persuasive essays. I loved to write about my own opinions and I was quite good at convincing people to agree
with my stand points. To convince others to agree on my point of view was an extraordinary feeling. I am very good at getting my point across and
giving my reasons on why I feel the way I do about a certain situation. I loved writing persuasive essays because I love to read them as well. I love how
persuasive essays have a call–to–action; giving the readers a chance to do something about the situation. I am all for protest and rights for others, if I
believe someone is wrong I will stand my ground and prove that it is wrong. I loved to write persuasive essays because, I am a persuasive person in
life. My opinions matter just as much as everyone else. Writing persuasive essays, is like writing from the soul. To be able to put my all into a piece
and show why it means so much to me. By taking this class, I have come to enjoy the research paper. I feel now as I writer I still love persuasive
writing; just know I include research to help strengthen my opinions. I am an organized writer as well as a descriptive writer, being able to write
things in logical order and having things well explained for a reader. I now understand the meaning and how to write about things I may not always
agree with. Being able to describe my writing, giving more detail is something taking this class has taught me. Giving my readers a better visual is

Persuasive Essay On How To Change The World
We all need to start today and change one thing that will make a difference in this world. We all have a burning desire and drive to change the world
or at least change ourselves. To make a difference to our kids, our family, our community, and our world. If you think you can change the world, you
might. If you think you can't change the world, you won't.
United States is a country that has developed rather quickly in all areas. Over the years it has gained power, fought for power, and we are still
trying to stay on the cutting edge in all areas. We are not afraid to make changes, break tradition and reform what doesn't work. It is important that
the United States is willing to make changes for themselves and their descendants. Changing is never easy, but it is worth it. More and more these
day's people become more easily offended about change and what is happening. Millennials am I right? There is a famous saying that I learned from
my parents. They said, "If you want change in your life start today and make one change." Change how you get dressed, your route to work, and try
out a new gas station. Mix things up with your morning routine. Get up an hour earlier, and do something productive with your time. Switch where
you park at home or at work. Change your deodorant, and get a new smell going. Ride a bike somewhere, anywhere and see something different.
This week we talked about all the changes that have taken place over the last one hundred years. The

Persuasive Essay On Education Reform
Educational reform is yet to be perfected. Teachers shape the minds of students to realize what their purpose is in life. Lately, because of certain
educational reforms, it has been hard for teachers to say what they need to say. "In 40–plus states, the math and English guidelines determine the
knowledge students have to master by the end of each grade, what they'll be tested on this year, and in many cases, how teachers and principals will
be rated at their jobs once those test scores are released" (Strauss). Most educational reforms are adopting standardized testing and should be
reconsidered. Statistics even show that since we have taken part in reforms like No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, and Common Core State
Standards math and reading are declining. These standards tell teachers what to teach and what the students should know by the end of the school year.
The reforms also evaluate teacher performance by how well the students learn the information. Some people believe educational reforms should not be
telling teachers how to teach their students, and others believe that the reforms are absolutely fine the way they are. However the truth is educational
reforms are yet to be perfected.
One point of view a person could have about educational reform is that students throughout the country should all have the same high–quality
standards. Issues and Controversies states,"All states should adhere to similar academic standards so that American youth are

Persuasive Essay On The Art Of Art
Art declares many things. It's a way for people to articulate their views, express their emotions, and communicate to the world in a way that gives
them creative release. This ability to exhibit one's views in a imaginative and safe manner is exceptionally important to society's growth, and to border
this freedom to articulate is detrimental. Art should not be hidden and concealed permanently from the public eye because some see it as vulgar due to
the fact that many people have varying definitions as to what is crossing the line. Only certain, obvious things can be noted as truly indecent.
Censorship is not an easy subject. As an artist, there is often a lot of tolerance for the obscene, from appreciation to detail on the human figure or
the unique renditions of animalistic interaction. However, the majority of the public might find the same things that the artists see as a unique
interpretation as vulgar. It is easy to see that such a standpoint must be taken into more consideration, as the point of indecency can differ greatly
for a conservative Christian compared to a liberal atheist. The two images of what each group considers unseemly would most likely range in their
obscenity, and so it would be difficult to put a line where one should be crossed. "If an image offends very many people, sooner or later someone
will invoke the law, and along with it judges, legislators, policymakers, and the police," quotes Melinda Hinkson in Australia's Bill Henson scandal:
notes on the new cultural attitude to images. Here we have a majority rule, where an image should only have action dealt upon it if enough people
want change. Such censorship is easy to determine when there are pieces depicting derogatory themes, such as child pornography or racial notions.
But there are multiple cases where there are two sides of the story, and it is not as simple.
A statue named Truth is Beauty by Marco Cochrane has recently been constructed in the city of San Leandro, here in the bay area. This statue depicts a
nude woman dancing, her body semi–geometric, and although you can not vividly see the all of the womans body parts, it is not difficult to know that
she is supposed to be depicted as naked. A completely naked figure,

Writing A Persuasive Essay
It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic;
I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I have
the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I
couldn't convince you that the long hours of school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of
passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless

bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this essay. I know what you're thinking, this is
ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot

Schools have been using the same learning techniques for a long time. Since technology has been evolving, there are changes that have made
schooling harder, and some changes that have made schooling easier. For example, instead of using paper and pencil students now have iPads and
their own laptops to do their school work on. Are these more advanced changes for the better, and make learning more convenient, or are they
unfavorable and make schooling complicated and more problematic? Most examples lead to the conclusion that laptops are more convenient. for the
reason, that they make school work easier and generate easy access to sites for research.
During the beginning of my Highschool career everybody was given an iPad; grade six to grade twelve. However not everybody is fond of the iPads.
Many students, throughout the long school days, have come up to the library to check out a laptop because they either "lost" their iPad, or they just
don't want to use it. Many students have tried to check out laptops even when they have their fully functioning iPads, so now whenever you want to
check out a laptop you have to leave your phone for collaboration. In almost every class teachers use the iPads, but not all teachers are fond of the
iPads either. Some teachers continue to use paper and pencil because it's more of a convenience to them.
Laptops are more convenient for me to use because of the classes I'm currently taking. Such as my CIS comp, CIS world history, and my

How To Write A Persuasive Essay
Writing essay is one of the things that I used to dislike before. For me, writing an essay was a difficult and boring thing. However, I change my
mind when I was doing the assignment, "Persuasive Essay". This essay is my first English essay, and it was a quite challenging task for me. In this
assignment , I learned a lot. For example, to use the transition words to connect each paragraph. Also, to use other writer's words to make my idea be
more powerful. Thus, this assignment improves my writing skills a lot. Before, I didn't know that I have to use the transition words in an essay. For me,
an essay is constituted by many single paragraphs. However, everything is different when I was doing this assignment, Persuasive Essay. I noticed
that every paragraph should support theme to make an essay stronger. Also, after Ms. Weller marked this assignment, I learned that using transition

Persuasive Essay On How To Stop Fear

  • 1. Persuasive Essay On How To Stop Fear How to Stop Living in Fear Are you leading a less than full life due to fear? Gripping panic or fear can make you feel powerless to overcoming it, but you can. The first step is to learn how to cope with fear without avoiding it or running away. Then, you must examine your fear to see it for what it is, so you can finally break free. ===Steps=== ===Coping with Fear in the Moment=== #Breathe deeply to quell anxiety. If fear has you temporarily paralyzed, activate your body's natural stress response with deep breathing. Draw in air from your nose for about 4 counts. Hold the breath briefly. Then, exhale from your mouth for about 8 counts. (–– removed HTML ––) https:/ /www.helpguide.org/articles/anxiety/phobias–and–irrational–fears.htm (–– removed HTML ––) #*Repeat this deep breathing exercise for as many cycles as you need to feel calm. #Ground yourself if you lose touch with reality. Fear can make you feel out of touch with the here and now. Ground yourself in the present by reconnecting with your 5 senses. Look around you and find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. Reach out to your loved ones when you are afraid. Talk to them about what you are thinking or feeling. Ask them to help distract you from your fear. Or, make a practical request. Will you stay with me?" #Repeat a mantra to remind yourself you're safe and capable. Use a positive affirmation to empower yourself when fear happens. You might repeat statements like, "You're perfectly safe at home" or "This, too, shall pass" to remind yourself you can get through anything. • 3. Informative Essay On Stress Stress is quite prevalent today. Although you may feel like you're alone when the feeling of panic strikes, rest assured that this isn't true. According to the American Psychological Association, stress is so prevalent today that it's becoming a public health crisis. In fact, most Americans suffer from a moderate to a high amount of stress daily. This is mainly caused by worrying about things like finances, work, and the state of the economy. When you're concerned about your health, you'll understand that stress isn't something you want to deal with over the long–term. It has you living in a continuous stress of heightened awareness that isn't good for your heart or blood pressure. For this reason, you really need to find healthy ways of combatting the stress you face in your life. Take Time for Self Care Self–care is the number one best way to destress today. There are many great ways you can do this, including: Take time to meditate or do yoga. Doing so changes your brain's neural pathways so you're more resilient to stress. This is especially true when you focus on a positive mantra, such as "I love myself." Take some time to get together with your friends and do something fun. Share with them what's going on in your life. This gives you a new perspective on your issues too. When you only have 10 minutes to decompress, put a warm heat wrap around your neck and shoulders, close your eyes, and relax. Once you remove the wrap, try rolling a massager over your back and feel your tension melt away. Head to the gym daily. While this may seem like a lot, but Fitness Magazine says you should do 30 minutes of cardio exercise every day. This includes anything that raises your heart rate, including running, brisk walking, swimming, and biking. You should also do strength training at least twice a week such as squats, push–ups, lunges, weight training, planks, and jumping jacks. These release feel–good chemicals in your brain that help you deal with stress. When you don't have time for these things, park further from a store, take the steps instead of the elevator, or go for a short walk. 5 Minutes to Decompress Stop saying you're stressed because you don't have enough time to decompress. • 4. Persuasive Essay "Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics," announced Mr. Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk. Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. "What is your topic Cindy?" As usual in such desperate times, my mind turned to food. "Waffles are better than pancakes." I figured that a waffle was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. "Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward to your essay!" I survived to live yet another day. As I walked to lunch, I went around and asked everyone the age old question: "Do you like Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Persuasive Essay On College Education College education will serve as a basis for someone's lifestyle if they work for it. This will open up doors and release opportunities for individuals that want it. College graduates will gain more intelligence than those that have only graduated high school. This type of constructionism will only work if students have a motive to be successful. The price of a four–year degree is quite valuable. College graduates have been proven to gain more money, learn an abundance of skills, and embrace diversity. To begin, college education has benefits that could go on forever. One of those advantages is the amount of money college graduates earn. In the article called "Is College Worth It? Clearly, New Data Say," by David Leonhardt, it describes the outcomes of having a degree and the assistance behind that. The future of a human being depends on the financial support. As mentioned in the text, "The pay gap between college graduates and everyone else reached a record high last year," (1). When jobs look at someone, it will become dependent upon past achievements or downfalls. People will accept a person with a four–year degree over someone without college experience. Individuals that gain more money, were most likely taught in college. In opposition, student debt from college can create long years of struggling issues. Students may feel like this is a disadvantage. According to the article, it mentions, "Among four–year college graduates who took out loans, average debt is about Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Persuasive Communication Essay Noor Douglah #1003169965 November 28, 2017 Communication Research Methods Donald Trump has suggested that a contest should be held as to which television network covers him in the most "dishonest, corrupt and or/distorted" way, as he has again labeled many of the outlets "fake news." It is one of some attacks by the president against the press coverage he receives, with the most vitriolic coming back in August when he referred the assembled journalists as "truly dishonest" and "sick people."Mr. Trump also used the term "your favorite president," a moniker he has used recently – that is despite his approval ratings telling a different story." Literature Review The press is basic to vote based system, and popularity based race is comprehensibly deprived of the press. An open and sensible contest is not only about the prospect of voting and the culture the way to make a selection, yet around a hands–on process where the electorates participate in the open verbal confrontation and provide adequate information on the meetings, approaches, competitors and the verdict process on the situation with a precise aim of settling on sophisticated choices. Besides, the press drives around as a critical watch to popularity founded decisions, defending the frankness in the procedure. During the 2005 gathering to commemorate World Press Freedom Day worldwide, an affirmation was formed which concentrated on "independent and mixed press are rudimentary for assuring forthrightness, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Persuasive Essay On The Importance Of Education A high–quality and accessible education is important for all children. Through education, children gain knowledge and skills that can lead to greater opportunities and upward mobility later in life. Education has [Passive] long enabled people to go further than they ever thought possible; to explore new ideas and to achieve new goals. Fostering knowledge and creativity enables children to forge their own paths in life. As an educator, it is my greatest desire to guide children on their educational journeys in a meaningful way. I hope to provide the children in my classroom an accessible, inclusive and resource rich learning environment. Inclusion A classroom where everyone has access, is not necessarily a classroom where everyone feels included. In order to create an inclusive environment, the teacher should assure that all students feel included and understood. Diversity should be valued in the classroom and this starts with the attitude of the teacher. When students come from a different backgrounds, the teacher should learn about their cultures and integrate that knowledge into the learning environment. The teacher should also strive to foster acceptance and value in classroom diversity among students. Resources Students shouldn't suffer because they are unable to afford basic resources needed for school. If a parent is unable to provide the student with what they need, I would have available extra supplies including, notebooks, binders, and pens on hand for student use. Additionally, I think it's important to acknowledge that sometimes the resources students are lacking stretch beyond the walls of the classroom. The problem might be as simple as not getting breakfast in the morning, or as complicated as not having a place to live. Obviously, as teachers we probably have the ability to fix the first one (free school breakfast application help), but not the later. We can, however, be empathetic to a student's situation and treat them with understanding instead of frustration. Future Classroom My goal is to make my classroom a learning environment where all students can be

  • 9. Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The feedback I received was that my essay needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical thinking to help work through the weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do not believe my essay would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why you are arguing your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague. I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my essay and this helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the issue was more clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the main elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your readers can have a full understanding of your Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. An Act of Kindness: A Persuasive Essay An Act of Kindness (Order #A2071175) There is a commercial on television, I forget what for, where one person performs a small act of kindness towards another, followed by that person helping someone else, and so on. The message here is that each act of kindness has a ripple effect throughout society and can effect people who we do not even know exist. There is also a secondary lesson of this commercial: eventually the acts of kindness return to the original person, indicating that kindness can be circular and if we want to live in a society where people do nice things for one another, then it begins and ends with us. This commercial indicates that acts of kindness are a way to improve society and an individual's overall life. With this is mind, I would like to convey an example of how I have been able to do my part in the overall circle of kindness by aiding a stranger who's car battery had died and needed a jump. It began on my way home one day when I was forced to stop for gas. At the gas station I was minding my own business when a stranger approached me and asked if I had a set of jumper cables and if I could give him a jump. As a teenager being approached by a grown man asking for help, thoughts of being kidnapped, tortured and murdered filled my imagination. As he approached, my immediate reaction was to hope he would leave me alone and continue walking, but he did not. Instead he came straight up to me and asked for my help. I wanted to say that I did not have a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Persuasive Essay Voting Voting for something or for someone in a big or small range cannot only affect you but, also other in a huge scale, even the whole country or world. Although people take it for granted, voting is a system, whose certain leaders and decisions and decided based on the population choice. However in some cases this doesn't apply such as in the electoral college, and therefore not voting or making the wrong choice within the imprecise popular votes and electoral vote ratio, it can actually make a big difference in many aspects. So not a single system is perfect with a voting candidate decision system, it will sometimes, or even always fail. Therefore voting not only involves the dragging numbers to a point where a candidate can win even if most population hasn't voted or is against it, but also the self decision on which how those numbers would drag, towards whom and the aftermath of your single vote, especially in the USA voting system the electoral college. The Electoral College is the current voting system of the USA to choose the president and the vice president. However the winner is not decided by the popular vote, but the electoral vote, which are the state representatives, 100 senators, two per state and 435 representatives and three electors, making about 538 of the votes, so therefore, the popular votes then turn into electoral votes. However with this system, the numbers aren't relay derived in terms of the popular vote, although if a state doesn't give to a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Persuasive Essay On Save Water Water is something no one can live without. In fact, human bodies are about sixty–five percent water. Therefore, water conservation is a project everyone should be willing to participate in. Specifically, in the Logan, Utah area, water conservation is an important topic, as the citizens use water every day. "In an interview with The Herald Journal, USU sociology professor Douglas Jackson–Smith said the city's water concerns have the potential to increase, based on Logan's anticipated population growth by 2050" (Peikes). There is a growing concern about the amount of water the city will have or be able to produce for the growing population. Although it is important that each citizen is staying hydrated and being hygienic, people do not need to use so much water in doing so. Many people have cut back on watering their lawns, or started to take shorter showers, but there are more options to choose from and ways to conserve water. This problem is solvable, if only more people would participate and take steps to conserve water. First, the citizens of Logan, Utah should act in conserving the water supply in Logan for now and for the future. The actions they can take are simple, and come down to the basic rule "stop using so much/ wasting water". Each individual resident can take steps to conserve water within their homes. That is usually the easy part. The hard part about conserving water is getting businesses and the city itself to conserve water. Businesses waste a substantial Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Persuasive Essay About My Favorite Movie For as long as I can remember the Adventures of the Wilderness Family has been my favorite movie. I was fascinated by how close to nature Pat, Skip, Jenny, and Toby were and particularly how close to wildlife they were. Every time I watched that movie I was just in awe of how beautiful it was and how they could sustain themselves and persevere through anything including multiple animal attacks. When I was a kid I always imagined running free in a field filled with flowers and being so close to nature and feeling free to explore my own little world. I have watched this movie countless times and have purposely never examined any faults the movie might have because I enjoyed it exactly the way it was. I never looked at it and actually saw...show more content... Whenever a character got attacked they seemed to take it really lightly, when realistically that is life–threatening. Childhood me really appreciated this movie for the kind of life I hoped to live when I got older. As a kid I would spend a lot of time by the pond outside my dad's house and exploring the woods and backyard with my brothers and my Dad and watching this movie made me look toward the possibility of one day living a life that ultimately felt free from my parents' issues and social conflicts and allowed me to find the heart and soul of who I am and depend on myself as I felt in a way I always had. As a kid I felt like the odd duck out sometimes and felt trapped between my parents as I still do today, so moving to a place like Gunnison National Forest seemed like the ultimate sense of freedom to me. I wasn't looking for a place where I felt like I was free from all of the issues I had to deal with growing up and I could thrive as an individual without having to worry about having the coolest new things that my elementary peers had before it was uncool or eventually about having the latest Apple products or designer handbags. A lesson this movie really pushes to heart on its viewers is the importance of reducing materialistic values. During the time that this movie was produced America started becoming more urban and building new cities. The start of the movie takes Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Persuasive Essay On Climate Change Climate Change Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help; people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth. Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years. Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1). These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the food. • 16. Persuasive Essay On How To Change The World We all need to start today and change one thing that will make a difference in this world. We all have a burning desire and drive to change the world or at least change ourselves. To make a difference to our kids, our family, our community, and our world. If you think you can change the world, you might. If you think you can't change the world, you won't. United States is a country that has developed rather quickly in all areas. Over the years it has gained power, fought for power, and we are still trying to stay on the cutting edge in all areas. We are not afraid to make changes, break tradition and reform what doesn't work. It is important that the United States is willing to make changes for themselves and their descendants. Changing is never easy, but it is worth it. More and more these day's people become more easily offended about change and what is happening. Millennials am I right? There is a famous saying that I learned from my parents. They said, "If you want change in your life start today and make one change." Change how you get dressed, your route to work, and try out a new gas station. Mix things up with your morning routine. Get up an hour earlier, and do something productive with your time. Switch where you park at home or at work. Change your deodorant, and get a new smell going. Ride a bike somewhere, anywhere and see something different. This week we talked about all the changes that have taken place over the last one hundred years. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Persuasive Essay On Education Reform Educational reform is yet to be perfected. Teachers shape the minds of students to realize what their purpose is in life. Lately, because of certain educational reforms, it has been hard for teachers to say what they need to say. "In 40–plus states, the math and English guidelines determine the knowledge students have to master by the end of each grade, what they'll be tested on this year, and in many cases, how teachers and principals will be rated at their jobs once those test scores are released" (Strauss). Most educational reforms are adopting standardized testing and should be reconsidered. Statistics even show that since we have taken part in reforms like No Child Left Behind, Race to the Top, and Common Core State Standards math and reading are declining. These standards tell teachers what to teach and what the students should know by the end of the school year. The reforms also evaluate teacher performance by how well the students learn the information. Some people believe educational reforms should not be telling teachers how to teach their students, and others believe that the reforms are absolutely fine the way they are. However the truth is educational reforms are yet to be perfected. One point of view a person could have about educational reform is that students throughout the country should all have the same high–quality standards. Issues and Controversies states,"All states should adhere to similar academic standards so that American youth are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Persuasive Essay On The Art Of Art Art declares many things. It's a way for people to articulate their views, express their emotions, and communicate to the world in a way that gives them creative release. This ability to exhibit one's views in a imaginative and safe manner is exceptionally important to society's growth, and to border this freedom to articulate is detrimental. Art should not be hidden and concealed permanently from the public eye because some see it as vulgar due to the fact that many people have varying definitions as to what is crossing the line. Only certain, obvious things can be noted as truly indecent. Censorship is not an easy subject. As an artist, there is often a lot of tolerance for the obscene, from appreciation to detail on the human figure or the unique renditions of animalistic interaction. However, the majority of the public might find the same things that the artists see as a unique interpretation as vulgar. It is easy to see that such a standpoint must be taken into more consideration, as the point of indecency can differ greatly for a conservative Christian compared to a liberal atheist. The two images of what each group considers unseemly would most likely range in their obscenity, and so it would be difficult to put a line where one should be crossed. "If an image offends very many people, sooner or later someone will invoke the law, and along with it judges, legislators, policymakers, and the police," quotes Melinda Hinkson in Australia's Bill Henson scandal: notes on the new cultural attitude to images. Here we have a majority rule, where an image should only have action dealt upon it if enough people want change. This statue depicts a nude woman dancing, her body semi–geometric, and although you can not vividly see the all of the womans body parts, it is not difficult to know that she is supposed to be depicted as naked. A completely naked figure, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Writing A Persuasive Essay It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic; I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I have the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I couldn't convince you that the long hours of school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless ...show more content... You'll get this definition: "The writer takes a stand on an issue–either "for" or "against"–and builds the strongest possible argument to win over the reader. In a persuasive essay, it's the writer's job to convince the reader to accept a particular point of view or take a specific action." Along with a bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this essay. I know what you're thinking, this is ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot before, lack of passion words don't form right and you're just not clear enough. I see the irony here, this very essay, it contradicts itself. A persuasive essay on why I can't write a persuasive essay. In the end it's genius, I'm not faking an opinion or sing someone's thoughts. You might have considered this option before but it seemed too stupid. You looked up prompt after prompt. Nothing. When you finally settle you know it's not your best work and the grade shows. Or you did it last minute, reworded someone else's essay. You've even considered turning in nothing, I mean what's the point Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Persuasive Essay Schools have been using the same learning techniques for a long time. Since technology has been evolving, there are changes that have made schooling harder, and some changes that have made schooling easier. For example, instead of using paper and pencil students now have iPads and their own laptops to do their school work on. Are these more advanced changes for the better, and make learning more convenient, or are they unfavorable and make schooling complicated and more problematic? Most examples lead to the conclusion that laptops are more convenient. for the reason, that they make school work easier and generate easy access to sites for research. During the beginning of my Highschool career everybody was given an iPad; grade six to grade twelve. However not everybody is fond of the iPads. Many students, throughout the long school days, have come up to the library to check out a laptop because they either "lost" their iPad, or they just don't want to use it. Many students have tried to check out laptops even when they have their fully functioning iPads, so now whenever you want to check out a laptop you have to leave your phone for collaboration. In almost every class teachers use the iPads, but not all teachers are fond of the iPads either. Some teachers continue to use paper and pencil because it's more of a convenience to them. Laptops are more convenient for me to use because of the classes I'm currently taking. Such as my CIS comp, CIS world history, and my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. How To Write A Persuasive Essay Writing essay is one of the things that I used to dislike before. For me, writing an essay was a difficult and boring thing. However, I change my mind when I was doing the assignment, "Persuasive Essay". This essay is my first English essay, and it was a quite challenging task for me. In this assignment , I learned a lot. For example, to use the transition words to connect each paragraph. Also, to use other writer's words to make my idea be more powerful. Thus, this assignment improves my writing skills a lot. Before, I didn't know that I have to use the transition words in an essay. For me, an essay is constituted by many single paragraphs. However, everything is different when I was doing this assignment, Persuasive Essay. I noticed that every paragraph should support theme to make an essay stronger. Also, after Ms. Weller marked this assignment, I learned that using transition words can create a powerful link between my ideas. For example, using the word, "in addition" , can make two paragraphs connect to each other. It also can make readers understand the logic of an essay.
