Smartpoint provides several useful features to help travel agents work more efficiently, including automatically displaying all classes of service without additional entries, requesting outbound and inbound seats together, and changing the date of an availability search with a single click. Users can also easily search for hotels and cars from within an availability screen. Shortcut keys and tools are available to display multiple pages of content, access "drop through" entries, view recent bookings, customize booking file fields, and more. The "Did You Know" document provides helpful tips on using many of Smartpoint's main functions in just a few keystrokes or clicks.

When a work area has an active booking it is underlined in orange, if you hover your
mouse over the work area a thumbnail appears showing the active booking

From a hotel availability display, if you click on the MAP icon, all the hotels in your
search will be displayed on an interactive map
Click on the relevant number on the map and a pop up window displays more
information from where you can click to display hotel images, descriptions and rate
details

Smartpoint will automatically translate cryptic formats from other GDS into
Travelport formats

reminders on your Smartpoint
desktop
To set this up:
• Click on O for Options
• Enter the PCC (you can have multiple)
• Queue Number
• Queue Category (if required)
• Visible will display the applicable queues
on in the orange boxes
• Enter the time frequency to check for new
bookings on queue
• SAVE
This is the perfect way to keep up to
date with your queues throughout
the day and to make sure no
important notifications are forgotten

Branded fares
Named airline fares that may include details of ancillary services offered and
promotional material in addition to the traditional fare information
Fare families
Named hierarchical grouping of branded fares
