Gateway2Travel Flights
The updated Gateway2Travel Flights booking engine has been designed and
developed to give you maximum control over the look & feel of the main
engine as well as the several features that can be added.
Most of these optional features are aimed at maximising conversion rates.
You can manage your booking engine through a portal called the Cockpit.
Whether you are an OTA, Travel Agent, Airline or TMC, the variety of available
versions ensures that the engine fits your business.
Using the latest technology, Gateway has developed a highly intuitive and configurable booking tool.
The engine is scalable and built in a responsive design which means it fits all devices, including desktop
PC, laptop and tablet.

The search box
The search box can be integrated into your homepage. It gives options for a round-trip, a one-way, or a multi-city
flight. The search data is sent to the engine and the result page is then displayed. The result page offers you a choice
of different ways to view the most convenient air fares that meet the search criteria.
An API version is also available for integration into your own booking flow.
The results can be further refined
with a range of filters.
In the remaining 3 steps, all
necessary passenger details
can be entered, and you have
the option of offering additional
complementary services.

A booking engine is all about conversion. Gateway
understandsthisandoffersmanytoolstomaximise
conversion rates and revenue.
A rule engine called the Sales Policy allows you to set
commissions, identify preferred carriers, and exclude
airlines, all up to flight number level. Features like the
Search Configurator and Relevance Booster are built in to
give you the option of determining which content should be
shown to your customer.

design of the application as well as
its confirmations and vouchers.
A large range of optional features

lots more. With the Cockpit, you are
the one in control.
Gateway2Travel Flights collects all published fares through a direct connection with the GDSs of Galileo, Amadeus and
Worldspan.
Via API and screen-scraping, connectivity is delivered to over 100 Low Cost Carriers worldwide, including Ryanair, Easy
Jet, Air Berlin, Thompson Fly, and many more. Your own net fares or consolidator fares can easily be integrated as well.

The Cockpit is a portal that allows you to configure your
booking tool and manage your bookings.
You can set your commission levels here, refine your
search query, enrich your results, and activate a variety
of options to improve your conversion rate.
You can give your customer the option of easily
comparing air fares on different dates.
The Calendar Search option will display fares from up to
3 days before and after the initially selected departure
and return dates, providing your customer with a user-
friendly matrix covering 7 days for both departure and
return flights.
This tool allows you to set filters which will reduce the
number of results but make them far more relevant for
you and the booker.
You can choose to only show the cheapest fare per cabin
class, to not show fares from all operating carriers of
the same flight, and to not show fares that are X times
more expensive than the cheapest fare.
Many airlines offer the option to reserve actual seat
numbers on their flights.
This functionality can be incorporated into the booking
flow, enabling your customers to enrich their booking
with reserved seats.
The rates that appear in your booking engine largely
depend on the results of the GDS shopping programs or
other sources.
A number of airlines or fares might not appear in the
results. In certain cases, you might also want to show
additional results. With the Search Configurator you can
configure your search query and enrich your air fare
results.

You can allow your customer to combine and book two
separate one-way fares from different low cost carriers.
This creates a larger offer at better total rates.
An eNett Virtual Account Number (VAN) is an
automatically generated MasterCard number that you
can use to make supplier payments. A unique number
is used for each new booking or payment transaction,
which makes it a highly safe and secure way to pay, or
to be paid.
This module lets the user calculate the CO2
emission of
his flight. The tool will then propose a price supplement
to compensate for this emission. These revenues are used
for environmental projects, such as the development of
windmill parks, or the planting of new trees.
This allows your customer to save his personal details.
For each subsequent booking, he or she can simply log
in and his or her details will be filled in automatically,
facilitating the booking process.
This module can be used for marketing purposes,
allowing you to give your customers a discount when
making a reservation in your system. It’s possible to
generate reduction codes that must be entered during
the booking process, or to define a discount in your sales
policy.
