I am proud to introduce myself as the newest member of your management, customer service team.
I am NOT a "CORPORATE" man! I am a CUSTOMER'S AND EMPLOYEE'S PERSON.
While still maintaing the utmost professionalism and focus of the companies objective's
I have over thirty years experience in senior management and customer service, ranging from resturants to
retail. I possess a strong knowledge of various management styles and operational policies and procedures
(Though I really do prefer the working with the public and providing the utmost customer satisfaction and
merchandising) but more importantly the up close and personal touch with the asscociates and the client 's by
being on the sales floor, something deeply lacking in todays work environment.. Let's face it with pads and
smartphones, laptops and computers. no one person needs to be in the office more that 1 maybe 2 hours a day.
One of the first opportunities I was given was because an HR person at Macy's in Reno, NV; hiring for the
holiday season, against her better judgment, gave me a shot. Then a the manager for the Men's apparel,
Rachael Whitman took the TIME to teach me, guide me, allow me to fail and ultimately succeed so that along
the way not only did I promote quickly and gain national attention in the company by my salesmanship of credit
applications. I became one of the youngest managers in the Reno store, and was able to attend a training class
and be able to let that HR person know that her GUT was not wrong! I went on to make her proud.
I also have a strong human resource and merchandising proficiency in all aspects of retail management including
small "mom & pop” store and multi-million dollar establishments. However do not let the word "RETAIL” allow
you to over look the fact that EVERY aspect of what I have learned in these versatile positions, WILL carry and
have carried over into every aspect of my career and my life. "THE BIG PICTURE, WORKING OUTSIDE THE BOX,
MAKING A SQUARE PEG FIT INTO A ROUND HOLE, THE ABILITY TO INSTANTLY DISCOVER THE NEEDS OF A CLIENT
OR EMPLOYEE AND 99% OF THE TIME RESOLVE THE SITUATION IN A MANNER THAT EVERY PARTY IS PLEASED.
I have built my career on the great statisfaction of my clients and buildng on the success of the employee's @ me
as well as the leadership I have had the great fortune to learn from even in their harsher yet fair and deserved
criticism of me. Any of my former employees will tell you I was the best boss they every worked for. and I
beleive my bosses will agree as well as add i would do what ever it took to get the job done.
I am not perfect, sometime it takes a while for things to sink in but with training. I am teachable, open minded
and plyable.
